Dear Zoidar: You cannot be serious. Repentance, like all aspects of Father's draw upon us, is in the present progressive tense, not a one time experience, but that which comes as a result of His working in us!
Regarding Universal Reconciliation, which is not what is being addressed on this link, mark this well; our God loses nothing, He is the God of ta panta!
I am serious. The one you asked this of is presenting a deadly false gospel. i.e. not true nor reliable in seeking Jesus or in coming to God in His Kingdom.I am serious. Isn't the initial repentance the doorway into God's kingdom?

There are threads on the "parousia/2nd coming".

The Destruction of Jerusalem - George Peter Holford, 1805AD
At this critical and alarming conjuncture, intelligence arrived that the Roman army was approaching the city. The Jews were petrified with astonishment and fear ; there was no time for counsel, no hope of pacification, no means of flight:-- all was wild disorder and perplexity :- nothing was to be heard but "the confused noise of the warrior, " -- nothing to be seen but garments rolled in blood," -- nothing to be expected from the Romans but signal and exemplary vengeance. A ceaseless cry of combatants was heard day and night, and yet the lamentations of mourners were still more dreadful.
The consternation and terror which now prevailed induced many inhabitants to desire that a foreign foe might come, and effect their deliverance. Such was the horrible condition of the place when Titus and his army presented themselves, and encamped before Jerusalem ; but, alas ! not to deliver it from its miseries but to fulfill the prediction, and vindicate the benevolent warning of our Lord :
"When ye see (he had said to his disciples) the abomination of desolation, spoken or by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place, [11] and Jerusalem surrounded by armies (or camps,) then let those who are in the midst of Jerusalem depart, and let not those who are in the country enter into her," for " then know that the desolation thereof is nigh." Matt. xxiv. 15, 21 ; Luke xxi. 20, 1-11.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this thread.........Things yet to happen
A severe falling away from the faith. (on-going, but will get much worse)
The beast (antichrist) and false prophet yet to be seen - many people will be fooled by this
Terrible, terrible things happening in the world .. such as we have never seen (great tribulation)
Jesus returns - 1st resurrection - all saved taken to heaven and are with the Lord
then things play out from there on
Dear Zoidar: The initial doorway into God's Kingdom is the very first time you hear His voice saying "Come unto Me."
For me, many moons ago, my wee legs could not run fast enough to respond. Oh, my friend, repentance is so easy when you grasp a measure of His glory!
For me it's another story. I got convinced I was going to hell. It was the sadness of what I would miss out on that made me repent. Then miraculously God saved me.
What was/is you concept of hell? For me it's another story. I got convinced I was going to hell. It was the sadness of what I would miss out on that made me repent. Then miraculously God saved me.
What was/is you concept of hell?
Perhaps a lot of early Christians got their concept of "Hell" from this Jewish/Hebrew Covenantle parable in Luke
Lazarus and the Rich Man - Here a little, there a little - Commentary
The parable of Lazarus and the rich man has been the foundation for many of the erroneous beliefs about "hell" within traditional Christianity. Some have viewed it not as a parable, but as a true story Yeshua told to give details about the punishment of sinners in hell. Yet a thorough, unbiased examination of this story will show that the generally accepted interpretations of this passage of Scripture are erroneous and misleading. In this article, we will go through the parable verse by verse to determine what the Messiah was truly teaching.
Those who insist that this is not a parable but a true, literal story Yeshua told to describe the condition of the lost in hell must overlook several facts to arrive at that conclusion.
First, Yeshua the Messiah never accuses the rich man of any sin. He is simply portrayed as a wealthy man who lived the good life.
Furthermore, Lazarus is never proclaimed to be a righteous man. He is just one who had the misfortune to be poor and unable to care for himself.
If this story is literal, then the logical implication is that all the rich are destined to burn in hell, while all the homeless and destitute will be saved. Does anyone believe this to be the case?
LUKE 16:
22 "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried."
23 "And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom."
24 "Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue;
for I am tormented/anquished in this flame.' "
While the significance of this seemingly pointless detail has been neglected by scholars throughout the centuries, you can be certain that it did not escape the notice of the Pharisees and scribes to which Yeshua was speaking. They thoroughly knew their history and were extremely proud of their heritage. Yeshua wanted those self-righteous Pharisees to know exactly who he was referring to with this parable.
This detail cements the identity of the rich man as the House of Judah, the Jews!

I don't remember, but a dark place without meaning and joy. That's my view of hell today.
Dear Zoidar: The deep empty hole all mankind has, can only be eradicated by a union with the Living God. You may try some other answer, but it is doomed to more and more despair.Annihilationism is another possibility. But I doubt it's true.
I like the burning bush event........Dear friends: This has been a long day for this old man. I do appreciate each of your posts today. The following two posts are from a couple of sites I frequent (in my spare time). The following is from a super moderator of liberal persuasion.
Dear Super Mod: Welcome to C.F.
The burning bush in the wild has a spreading fire. The English says consuming, yet the bush isn't burned. It is probably a spreading fire. That is only a guess not a scholarly thing, but a consuming fire would destroy the bush would it not? A spreading fire would not, and it would explain why Moses has to take off his sandals. His feet probably touch that fire, and there is probably some kind of purification going on there. I don't know why it would start at his feet, but maybe it does and then goes all over him?"
It would be as long as what ever "Forever and Ever" is.
Can't wait until He returns ... but know I will have to.
