Is there a drastic difference between a kiss shared by two dating sweethearts
And the kiss that happens at the altar when a pastor says "you may kiss the bride"?

I'm looking for opinions but you can quote textbook fact and biblical verse

I think it is a silly (protestant) tradition and I am glad we don't do it.

it makes absolutely no sense. You may now kiss the bride? WHAT?

Oh.... just for that,
When I get married someday,
I'm gonna smooch for 12 hours up there on the altar.
People are gonna are actually gonna get bored and leave.

:ahah::ok:
Then you can eat all the cake yourself! ^_^

Hey y'all are right "kiss the bride" does sound dumb when you put it like that... haha after all you probably kiss that person lots and lots before the wedding. It's the wedding night stuff that y'all were suppose to save till the big day haha
they should just cut out the middleman and that reception part and have all weddings in a hallway at a nice hotel and then after they say "Ido" the priest opens the door to the hotel room and shoves them in there and says "you may now... you know"

hahaha! Well after watching "Game of Thrones" I wonder how historic their 'bedding ceremony' is during a wedding. I know in the past they would do the deed during the reception and the groom would bring out the sheet to show the blood that proves she was a virgin.
