Water Curses is an awesome EP, cannot wait for the AC full album in January...
Timbre is also awesome (she contributed harp to "In A Sweater Poorly Knit" on mewithoutYou's latest), her Radiohead cover is pretty rad. I saw her live at one point and she is absolutely brilliant. With Max Justice playing toy piano, who isn't?

A friend tried to get me into Friendly Fires recently but I just can't, sounds rather sub-chkchkchk to me. Am listening to Born Ruffians and old Neil young at the moment.

Anybody seen Last.fm's best of 2008 lists? Am liking their new artists list but not so much the top tracks, what is it with people listening to so much Coldplay!?

I really like MGMT from that list. The Ting Tings are good too, but overplayed. Fleet Foxes are okay, took me a while to get used to them. I checked out does it offend you, yeah and I pretty much love them for their name alone.

BjorkIsCool, you into Matmos? They did the instrumentation for a couple of Bjork's albums. I'd recommend checking out Supreme Balloon -- very danceable electronic music, all done with 70s-era synths.
