CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

And the sad thing is that, on the basis of that, she stopped believing Charles Duke's testimony, didn't ask God to help her to accept a globe earth and has spent the last few months writing, "fake, lies", getting threads closed down and getting suspended for flaming people.
When she could have had a great testimony and be learning lots more about the Bible and Christian life.

Why are some suggesting that Psalms 104:5 may not be true because David writes in a poetic way ?
He set the earth on its foundations, never to be moved.

No one has claimed the Psalm is not true. We have stated that your literal interpretation of the Psalm is not true.

It IS true.
The earth will not be moved from its place in the solar system.
It will not go spinning off into a black hole, move so close to the sun that we fry or move so far away that life cannot exist.
It can never BE moved - by demons, evil forces, strong winds or any other power. That does not mean it can never move - and to say otherwise is reading into the text.
If you said, "I love my house; I'm staying in it forever and I will not be moved from it", would that mean that you had to sit in an armchair for the rest of your life and never move/breathe/eat etc?
No. You would be saying that no one was ever going to get you out of your house or make you leave.

He was right.
God is not far from unbelievers. They are made by him, in his image and were given life by his breath, so there is already something of God in them. They just haven't met, and accepted, him yet.
And he is IN believers. Not sitting somewhere above the "raqia".

Why do you change what people say to suit your fantasy?
Can you not understand that the Psalmists used poetry and metaphor to convey truths about God?
The verse you quote above uses the metaphor of building construction to convey the truth that God is the creator and that it is He and He alone who is the ultimate authority over His creation, and that we do not have to fear powers and authorities not of God, because they have no power to undo what God has done.
Getting that truth from the verse requires the reader to study and ponder about what it is saying about God, because that is who it’s about.
It has absolutely nothing to do with a literal description of His creation.

They are all true because they convey truths about God.
Can you not understand the concept of using metaphors to convey truths? People use metaphors all the time, and none more so than the nation of Israel, especially in the poetry of songs, which is what the Psalms are - songs.

The yearbook mentions Charles Wilkes, Amundsen and Admiral Byrd, all of whom have described the midnight sun in Antarctica.
You don't need to see the midnight sun in Antarctica to falsify the flat earth model. Sunrise and sunset in Punta Arenas in Chile during Summer is more than enough to demonstrate it is nonsense.

On the 21st December, sunrise was at 5:12am and sunset was at 10:11pm with the sun visible for almost 17 hours. Not possible on your flat earth model and yet there it is.
