Michael cannot in any possible way fit into "apostasia." It is a very significant departing - one that when people see it would say, "now THAT is what Paul was talking about." People would not know if an angel had departed. They would not know if he had NOT departed.Paul was writing to the church and wanted them to remember what he had told them when he had been at their church in the past. It seems that he had preached on Daniel 10-12. He tells them about the man that will exalt himself. That would link back to Daniel 11:36.Daniel 12:1 refers to Michael stands up -and then sets the time of such as never was. This seems to link with the words back at the end of Daniel 10 as to Michael is a withholder.
"Forsake" had to included "Moses" else no one would know what was being departed from. Note carefully that in 2 Thes. 2 Paul did not add "Moses" or anything else - because in the first verse he set the theme: the gathering and then departing of the church.Act 21:21
And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.

Look at how the word "forsake" is linked to the words as to falling away. Was this speaking about a rapture of the church? It is about defecting - leaving - departing from the words of Moses.
Just study 1 Thes. 4 & 5. Paul is clear: His rapture comes as the trigger for the Day, therefore coming just before THE DAY begins. God to the 6th seal and you find out when the Day of the Lord begins. Paul's rapture then must come just before the 6th seal. It is hard to argue against what is written.Paul was writing to the church and wanted them to remember what he had told them when he had been at their church in the past. It seems that he had preached on Daniel 10-12. He tells them about the man that will exalt himself. That would link back to Daniel 11:36.Daniel 12:1 refers to Michael stands up -and then sets the time of such as never was. This seems to link with the words back at the end of Daniel 10 as to Michael is a withholder.
it is not what I "want:" is it what is written. God and look again: in 2 Thes. 2:3 the man of sin IS REVEALED. That means in verse 3a the one restraining has been taken out of the way.ex.
that day - the day of our unwrapping gifts shall not come except that comes first
fall....and Thanksgiving dinner that sets on the table....
2 Thess. 2
the day of our gathering - the day of Christ
shall not come except....first...a falling away.....and man of sin...
You want a falling away to mean - our gathering
and that falling away part is a separation...and happens before the
day of Christ.
