Nice! Good responses, all. I've been getting back into it pretty regularly. After all I live by myself and basically just work and sleep, something has to fill the time.

I just recently rewatched Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Code Geass, both are just as good as I remember. I love Serial Experiments Lain, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Tenchi Muyo, Ergo Proxy. On the cheesier side, I still love Outlaw Star.

Right now I am watching Attack on Titan. Wow, its definitely one of the most violent and bleak animes I've seen in recent years, but its absolutely incredible. It's available on Crunchyroll, subbed.

"Only compared to some"

Cowboy Bebop remains my absolute favorite.

It's one of my favorites as well. Hellsing is fun too.

and yeah, I grew up on Star Blazers and Battle of the Planets (aka Science Ninja Team Gatchaman).

I saw Battle of the Planets under the name "G-Force: Guardians of Space".

Oh, and Ultraman, if we can count some live action.

Yep, I've seen Ultraman as a first grader.

Oh, and I saw Planet Boy Popi while I was in kindergarten, which was called "Prince Planet" in the American dub. My very first anime!

As you might have heard, NJ Governor, Chris Christie has signed into law a bill that prohibits licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, and counselors from administering "ex-gay" therapy (deemed harmful) to minors.

I'm afraid, as Fay Voshell says, NJ is now home to a gay sex-cult who will exterminate the Christians and become like Saudi Arabia. I wonder if Princeton Theological Seminary is embarrassed)

I'm still waiting for Pamella Geller's prediction that NJ would fall under Sharia Law when Christie appointed that Muslim judge a few years ago.

Deploying Trend Micro AV with agentless virtual machine protection this weekend out on our ESXi hosts. What could possibly go wrong?

AV on an ESXi host? Sounds unnecessary...are the guests on a SAN?

Yeah. The way I understand it is that I will build a virtual server for the management but the drivers need to be implemented at host level so that all of the VMs can be monitored without installing software in their respective pools.

That's the VCenter I guess.

Well, it would be interesting to hear how it works out

Yeah, its kind of outside of my job duties as I am not that experienced in VMware. We just keep getting rid of our talent and its getting out of control, I do like 5 jobs right now and none of them are my title lol.

Welcome to IT.
Anyone ask if you can fix the coffee maker yet?

Yeah, and to be pretentious we sent out a company-wide Change Communication for it lol. I did recently get a ticket for changing the aroma filter in the bathroom....

What is....what.

Heh.
The best ticket I had was submitted by email:

"Help! I can't send email from my iPad"

And of course, the signature was, "Sent from my iPad"

Classic.

Well I deployed the first phase of it today. Basically I build a VM with a SQL Server and the management console, that VM manages everything. Then I give it rights to access vCenter and bring ESXi hosts into maintenance mode, install the drivers, reboot the host and the migrate the VMs back. On each ESXi host a virtual appliance is created for monitoring and the VA's report back to the management server.

As far as I can tell, its pretty slick and wasn't that painful of a setup. I just decided to stagger it in dev/test environments. If it works, I'll do the production cluster.
