No, The Antichrist will speak Blasphemous things against the God of Israel.

Yes, and Satan as the false Christ praising the God of heaven would be the highest form of blasphemy. Study the scriptures. The antichrist was in existence in the 1st century and will be destroyed at the 2nd coming so no earthly individual will ever fit the bill.

'And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.' 2Thess. 2:11,12

The pretend messiah, or leader of the 'rebellion that desolates' or 'man of sin' was done for in the DofJ but not exactly as expected. Because the day of judgement of the whole world did not take place. But he has to do with the last generation of Israel in the old covenant form, and he was awful, and was destroyed there.

The pretend Messiah???

There have been TONS of pretend Messiahs. Which Jesus clearly warned of!

This "antichrist" that will sit in a "literal" temple just isn't going to be. This entity is active in the church today.

They're amongst God's people who are the temple of God. You can see a lot of them on TBN too.

That's an application no doubt, but 2 Thess 2 ends up speaking historically. That's why I don't say his end took place as expected.
While true to the point that Paul is warned the Thessalonian believers...if you lose the fact that it is written for our learning, you can miss that this is an ongoing thing.

Think about the folks that followed Jim Jones for instance...he declared himself to be God, as did David Koresh, and there are many more we don't even hear about.

The focus has to be on Jesus..."the way, the truth, and the life"...when they venture from that...it's time to exit.
