Those "pearly gates" are going to be destroyed. The old heaven and the old earth will pass away. Eternity will be spend on a new earth and the new heaven will descend to it..

Nobody will be going to those gates.. they will not exist and nobody will be coming or going from anywhere other than those on the new earth and in the new heaven.

“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.

Rewards are given in Heaven.. For those that have salvation..
Some will enter and end up with nothing more than their salvation and that's it.

Salvation is not by works... However, once saved, many do wondrous things for God, here and now.. They will earn crowns and rewards for their actions in the name of Christ..

There probably is levels to hell as well.. But.. it is eternal..

You cannot "earn" your way into heaven.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates.

But if you see Rev 22:15, referring to the reprobates outside, this is really the same as Rev 21:8, where we're told they suffer 'the second death'.

So they're washing the robes/ purging the dross/ being tormented in the fire/ suffering the second death in order to qualify for the Lamb's Book of Life entry conditions to the City.
Revelation 21:27 But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who practices an abomination or a lie, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

You are written in the book of life---Your name can also be blotted out of it.

Rev_3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Rev_20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Rev_20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

No one is washing their robes in the city or out of it. We can not wash our own robes!! Only the blood of Jesus can wash us clean of our sins!

There is no verse that says the ashes from the lake of fire are resurrected!! Those have died the 2nd death, from which no one walks out of.

There are those who actually think the Author of ta pavnte is unable to be the Source & Goal of the same.

Do you know how many times “limited” is used in Scripture?

Exactly once. “You have limited the Holy One of Israel.”

“In order that, by His goodness to us in Christ Jesus, He might display in the Ages to come the transcendent riches of His grace.”

Ephesians 2:7 in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

He is so loving.. that He will not make those that don't want to spend eternity with Him.. spend eternity in a place that they don't want to be...

I love cliff jumping.. from reasonable heights.. One of my kids doesn't. Why would I force him?
I love hockey, two of my kids had no interest.. should I have forced them to play?
My dad, he loved turnip.. I hated it.. I did not like that, as a kid, he forced me to try to learn to like it.

Some people love Rap "music"... they think everyone should endure it... They are wrong.


If you love someone.. you don't make them endure things that they don't want to endure.


God.. will not make you endure eternity in heaven with Him if you don't want to....

Because He loves you.. .He grants your wishes.

We've been over this.. before... He is talking to those from the tribulation times. Not those saved in the age of grace.
