• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you are able, and I don't believe you are, explain away the righteous in the OT.
Sure, as soon as you explain how it is that when St. Paul says "Nobody" it really means "Some".

you don't sin anymore ? you haven't sinned since .................

I will leave with what Princeton has explained that makes perfect sense to those with "ears":

"The answer to this question could not possibly be less relevant; for whether or not this individual sins has no bearing whatsoever on the words of the Bible. In other words, the Bible says what it says whether this individual sins or not. The truth of the Bible rests upon the Bible itself, and not upon the experience of one individual reader of it.

Instead of using the Bible to find excuses for sin and arguing that we can’t help it, I suggest that it would please God much more if we all used the Bible to find promises of victory over sin. Here is a good one, just for starters (there are many more):

1 Cor. 10:13. No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it."

Sheep, referring to the lost who are like sheep without a shepherd, morph into goats by the process of a hardening heart. The practice of sin hardens our heart. Many verses teach this truth. You see, the Calvinist view starts with everyone being hardened, unable to understand. But scripture provides example after example of becoming unable to understand. God hardens who He hardens. Ring a bell? The Bible teaches use it or lose it theology, if we do not make use of the limited spiritual ability we have in our fallen unregenerate state, we will lose even that.

Consider this: In the mission field, we concentrate on youths, 10 to 20 year olds, because they are more receptive to the gospel than older folks. Not that we give up on anyone, but the practice of sin hardens hearts.

Note it the love of darkness that results in inability, as the person practices sin, they harden their own heart, Romans 1:18-21. For example Pharaoh both hardened his own heart, and on top of that, God hardened His heart too! No wonder it took all ten plagues to get him momentarily to the point of agreeing to let God's people go.

While we share many views, we also hold radically different views, such as the message, trust in the whole word of God, not just what fits your doctrine, of our passage.

more false teaching , can we see a verse that says sheep morph into goats ? lol..
I'd be interested in seeing that myself.

Sheep are sheep, and goats are goats.

Anyone can spam up irrelevant 'prooftext' scripture as you do. Children do that sort of thing. That's never an answer, just another dodge tactic hoped by you to get your opposition chasing rabbits. I think you are child.
