How would the civil laws from Moses have stopped the Black Plague?
There is quite a bit on this subject if you do a google search. Moses gave us sanitary laws. What led to the incredible spread of the "black death"? Modern science now knows that unclean streets, poor sanitation, and filth were great contributors. In the l4th century, cities in Europe were filthy, laden with garbage. Refuse was simply thrown in the gutter in London and Paris. For example Moses talks about how important cleanliness is and how people need to wash their hands. In 1850 Ignaz Semmelweis saved lives with three words: wash your hands. He taught people to follow the teachings of Moses in the Bible.

I read a story once about a sword fight and one of the men had his arm cut off. They just threw the arm in an alley because they knew that the rats would carry it off and eat it. This was how they got rid of their garbage back then in violation of the teaching of Moses in the Bible.

A lot of words, but nothing that actually answers my question. This time, please actually answer the question I have asked instead of the question you think I asked: How would the civil laws from Moses have stopped the Black Plague?

Yet all of this hinges on man becoming Civilized. To become civil requires laws and city planning. Laws and civil engineering requires a written language.
So many leaps of logic...this is a narrow definition of "civilized."
True we had written law 1,000 years before Moses. But we did not have written anything before Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden 6,000 years ago.
You have an amazing amount of faith in humanity's abilities if you think we went from the very first humans to full-fledged empires in just a couple of millennia.

And Joshua19 has still not said what any of this has to do with evolution at all.
Yes I did. We are talking about The cradle of civilization. Mesopotamia, the area between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers (in modern day Iraq), is often referred to as the cradle of civilization because it is the first place where complex urban centers grew. I am centering on the word CIVIL. We are talking about the meaning of the word CIVIL.

I have had many discussions about the transition of man from a food gather to food producer. This began around 14,000 years ago. Cities have not been around that long and cities did not have thousands of years of transition time. Nineveh was one of the oldest and greatest cities in antiquity. The area was settled as early as 6000 BC. We know that Adam and Eve in the Bible lived around 6,000 years ago. The Bible also talks about the city of Nineveh.

We have written history before the Bible. We have written laws 1,000 before Moses gave us the law we find in the Bible. Still the Bible is written history that goes back 6,000 years. If you want to know about evolution and how man went through a transition from food gather to food producer then you need to study the Bible to see what the Bible says about this subject.

I answered that question in one word: "sanitation". Moses wrote about sanitation if if you follow the sanitation laws of Moses then you will eliminate a lot of the diseases that tends to go along with cities and civilization.

The very first REAL artifacts were the sewing needle, fishing hooks and fishing net. This goes back 40,000 years when man migrated out of Africa north into the colder area that neanderthals lived in.
We know that Adam and Eve in the Bible lived around 6,000 years ago.
Wait, if you acknowledge that humans have existed for longer than that, can you explain what you mean when you refer to "Adam and Eve?" Do you view them as the first members of the chosen people rather than of the entire species?

This is not my "logic". This is a very standard teaching that can easily be learned through a simple google search. IF anyone is interested in learning the truth the truth is there for them to discover.

The word Logos in Greek in the Bible means Reason. God tells us "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord" Isaiah 1:18. It is God we need to reason with. Logic and understanding comes from God and can be discovered by those who want to apply themselves toward learning the truth.

can you explain what you mean when you refer to "Adam and Eve?"
Adam and Eve were the patriarch and matriarch of the Hebrew people. If you do a study on the Botany in the Middle East you will discover that the plants and animals in that biodiverse ecosystem can be read about in the Bible. It is here in what they call the cradle of civilization where man evolved from a food gather to a food producer. This was also when animals went through a transition to be domesticated.

I sure hope not.
Perhaps you should only consider real people and real epochs when you wish to discuss real history.
Seconded. The mixing of the two is making me cringe. Talk about the supposed biblical timeline, sure! I find it fascinating myself. But don't try to fit things like Eden into the historical timeline. Oy vey...

But you didn't. You didn't show where and in what capacity he supposedly wrote about sanitation to such a degree that it could have stopped the spread of the Black Plague.

It has everything to do with it. Because this blows the theory of evolution right out of the water.

You can not have a city without civil engineering. That is why they had the Black Plague is because they did not follow the Civil laws given to us by Moses.
They must have worn mixed fabrics?

Adam and Eve were the patriarch and matriarch of the Hebrew people.

Correction: Adam and Eve were the first parents of ALL Humans. God called THEIR name Adam in the Day they were created by the Trinity, Gen 5:2 or born again Spiritually in Christ. Adam was formed the 3rd Day Gen 2:7 and Eve the 6th Gen 2:22 but BOTH were created in Christ Spiritually and Eternally AFTER Cain killed Abel. Adam lived for 930 years AFTER he and Eve were born again Spiritually. Gen 5:5 God Bless you

What did Moses write about sanitation?
