God did change Saul the Pharisee, but alas, most never change.
But with God, all things are possible.
Actually, the greatest preachers of grace, are often those who previously were the most in earnest of trying to attain heaven under a law of righteousness.
Paul being the perfect example

God did not change Saul so as to continue in his sin with the thinking he was saved.
The change by God was one that led him to do good and not evil in any way.

The true grace of God teaches us to deny ungodliness and that we should live soberly, righteously, and Godly in this present world (Titus 2:11-12).

Again, I fail to see how your accusation of saying that my belief in God's Word in regards to believing in Christ as my Savior and believing that He does the good work through me (as it is written) leads to a pharisaical type belief. You are going to need to show us this according to Scripture that this is the case instead of just blindingly making false accusations.

....
Teachings based on law and not grace, are Pharisitical today...

The Law is only necessary to point out that you are a sinner, and most people today already know that (except you of course)... And are tired of being told about it, they want to know what to do about it, something that works... Wondering if they are cursed to be a sinner all there life, if sin is even the point that is, and I'm beginning to wonder if only the heart is and sin does not matter so much...

Sin is risky to the heart though... The enemy is after your heart, and also, so is God... Sin, a tool of the enemy, gets it's power through the law, after all... and from those preaching it, and no grace... cause the law is only half or part of the process, and is only the beginning, grace and mercy operating through the power of love, is it's end...

Takes the right kind of heart, so, don't lose yours...

God Bless!

And that was how he did good, though he called himself "the chief of sinners"...

Are you a Chief of sinners Jason, and are you acting like a good shepherd to them...?

How many commands is a Christian under concerning a law of righteousness?

"That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
(Romans 8:4).

Somehow you do not think you are under this verse above.
For you have repeatedly said you are not under the righteousness of the law or a law of righteousness.

The righteous aspect or part of the Old Law in Romans 8:4 is Romans 13:8-10, which is to love your neighbor.

You said:
Where are these commands to be found?

All of God's laws are technically righteous and good. But believers are under the New Covenant and not the Old Coveant so we primarily look to the New Covenant to obey the Lord.

Have you previously stated many times a Christian is under the law in regards to righteousness of obeying 1050 NT commands?

@Jason0047, Paul had to learn how not to be a Pharisee, by being a powerful, influential, Pharisee... You can do the same, you know, your prior knowledge and experience will not be a waste, you know...?

He repented of Being a Pharisee, and the sins he struggled with after that was going back to those kinds of sins...

Which he did pretty well...

How well are you doing with it/them, Jason...?

God Bless!

Totally out of context. Paul said he WAS a sinner as a part of his old life.

12 "And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief." (1 Timothy 1:12-15).

I do not struggle with serious sin 24/7.
How about you?
In my experience, I have talked with Eternal Security proponents who admitted that they felt enslaved by their sin. But they were not worried about it because they had their belief on Jesus.

And what made Paul think of himself as a miserable man then?

When Paul said he was a wretched man, he was saying this from his experience in being a pharisee who used to struggle with keeping the Law alone as a means of salvation. Nowhere do we see Paul say that he struggleed with sin while he had Jesus, too. Paul recounted his old life of sin in trying to keep the law and then he said he is thankful that he now has Jesus Christ. We are told in Romans 13:14 to put on the Lord Jesus Christ so as not to fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

Where?
Where did you specifically state the number of comnandments a Christian is under concerning righteousness?

And where did you specifically state these commands are written?

See Post #868 for my answer.
