I agree with that, but it wasn't written by one person in a week, rather its more fragmented, layered then redone. The same story is even told in different ways.

The same sentence is repeated in different words right after it ends the first time. And that happens more times than I care to count. Pretty sure if a deity were involved in any way with that text it wouldn't be as badly written as it is.

Don't you think that if we found the bible convincing, we wouldn't be atheists? It isn't as if we haven't read it or even been open to it being right. Is it so hard to understand that different people can read the same text and not get the same thing out of it?

No I understand completely that different people get different things out of what they read. Prophecy coming to pass in the Bible ought to be enough to convince a person it's right. It's what convinced me anyways. Believe me I've tried to find ways of breaking it.

There isn't any empirical evidence to spirituality. You have to stay in chemistry class with your pocket protectors and pyrex beakers, we get to do acid, take field trips and have fun in the spiritual realm.

That's strange. It was the failed prophecies that played a part in convincing me that christianity was wrong.

Jesus never laid those lands to waste. He failed to fulfill the prophecies. I have found that a huge majority of the prophecies that christians claim Jesus fulfilled are like this one, a tiny bit of prophecy fulfilled amongst a massive amount of prophecy that was not fulfilled. It is no accident that the Jews are still waiting for their Messiah.

What early christians did was fake the prophecies they wouldn't have to present evidence for. It is pretty obvious that Jesus did not conquer the lands he was supposed to, so just ignore that one. However, we can claim that Jesus was born of a virgin, and no one can challenge us on that one. Let's put that one in.

Believe me I've tried to find ways of breaking it.

Eventuated beings are full grown intelligent Sons of relative divinity. I don't know if they remember the moment just after their creation or not or if they slowly become conscious. They train for their assigned task. Lucifer had already been serving for a long time before the fall.
