Often times Jim people need to vent before they can focus on finding solutions.Yep.. We have Foru.ms' rules, congregational rules (Statement of Faith) PLUS members' own rules and agendas.
Everyone is at fault. Maybe this is not a place for me. I don't want to be in a place where blames are focus when we should be focusing on fixing.![]()
Often times Jim people need to vent before they can focus on finding solutions.
Not allowing that venting is actually more detrimental than allowing it. There is plenty of blame to go around and undoubtedly much of it falls directly upon my shoulders.
I am not convinced that those in our little club aren't interested in finding a solution, I think it may be a matter of trying to identify the problem and what can be done about it. Nerves are a little raw right now that doesn't mean they will be in 2 or 3 weeks.
Happy to.Can you pm me? I have missed all this gospel squelching and persecution.
Sincerely.
I can't argue with that. There is an unwritten rule in football if someone punches you don't punch back. It is always the second guy that is seen and draws the penalty,I personally think there is just a bit more to it. I think that while we were going round and round about what the problems were and what the solutions might be, we had people deliberately coming in to provoke even more. We reacted. Yes, we certainly did. We blamed each other. We blamed the Liberals. We blamed Satan. Every time we started getting somewhere, here would come another round of "innocent" questions which would escalate once again.
We are all guilty of reacting, yes, but reacting is not the same as provoking, and the provoking never got punished. The provokers were pronounced innocent no matter how much evidence was presented that they were clearly instigating in CCC.
It is not about what you post, how you react, but who you know and what your position is. If you abuse your position, then, there is nothing that members can do about it. At least it seems to be that way...

Yes.I'm not a rule breaker by nature. Not at all. In fact I generally have a lot of respect for mods on forums because I know how hard that job is. But when I see the Gospel being squelched and good Christians being persecuted, I will speak out, and if need be, break the rules. Plain and simple. Christians are being abused, manipulated, and shut down in this place, and there is absolutely no good excuse for it. Not even the almighty "rules".
That's EXACTLY what happened Lisa. Yes, we came to the conclusion NOT to fix it, then here someone came (supposedly our own group) to "FIX IT" again..I personally think there is just a bit more to it. I think that while we were going round and round about what the problems were and what the solutions might be, we had people deliberately coming in to provoke even more. We reacted. Yes, we certainly did. We blamed each other. We blamed the Liberals. We blamed Satan. I saw proper and swift action on a post today. So maybe it's a sign of things to come.

Well, good gravy, give us a link, man.
Lisa
Jim,
Your posts were removed because they were part of a conversation spawned by a liberal debating in the thread. So all posts pertaining to that conversation were eliminated, including mine. Sheesh, not everything is about you.
Lisa,
As for a link, it happened in my "the unhappy fate of orthodoxy ..." thread. All the junk is gone though.
I just read this again it should say WITHOUT frustration and rancor. SorryI can't argue with that. There is an unwritten rule in football if someone punches you don't punch back. It is always the second guy that is seen and draws the penalty,
Still I would like to see us use our little valve here to vent a little so that we can take up the cause again with some of the frustration and rancor that have built up. At least in me, I guess I can't speak for anyone else.

Agreed. Can you say "BIAS"? We've known this and it was already present prior to 7/7/7 - only at that point the 'stronghold' wasn't as great as it is today.Yeah, I don't know. I guess in the end it does not even matter. What I would like to see after the probation is some even handed moderation that will allow us to function as Conservatives.
It is like when everyone was in an uproar over Rochir's post and there was a flame war. The mods and Admins kindly asked her to just stop posting in CCC. That ended it.
Now, we are being told, let everyone come in, say what they like, but we are not to respond. Worse, we are the only forum being treated in this manner. I do not understand why CCC has been singled out. I would like to see a Liberal or shoot, anyone go over to OBOB and start posting stuff that is contrary to Catholic beliefs. OBOB would not be blamed, that is for sure. They would react, and they wouldn't be so nice about it either, but it would be considered completely justified.
That is what irritates me the most, I guess.
