John smiled as he watched Edie go in front of him. "Hey Edie, I want to talk to you alone after we're done with our juices, if that's ok with Edward," he said after she said her order. (Sorry, I forgot her real name, so I shortened it to make it easier for me.)

Deeda nodded at Edie and John. A mango smoothie and an apple cinnimon Smoothie. Got it. She began blending them, individually, thinking, "Hebrew? She must be talking about that old book her friend is holding. I didn't think they existed in town, outside of museums".
She put the cups down on the counter. "Any body else?" She asked Edward and Yuzuki, while calculating the total so far.

John smiled as he walked up to the counter. "Yes, I would like and Apple Cinnamon smoothie, please," he said before side stepping so that he he could get his smoothie from the side of the counter so that he didn't tangle the line up. ((OOC: You might want to go to the OOC of this thread so that you'll have the ingredients))

"I want a limeade smoothie, please--and please, no real lemons or limes in the smoothie...." he said, moving to the side of the counter so Yuzuki could order next.

"I'll have a strawberry smoothie." Yuzuki said after hesitating. She handed Dee two twenty dollar bills after the smoothies were finished. "Keep the change." She said.

((She just so happened to come into extra money even though she's struggling.))

"That ain't happening!" Edie jumped forward and took the money off the counter, "Keep that Yuzuki, Edward and I will pay," She gave the money back to Yuzuki and gave Dee a ten, "What did you want John?"

"k, a limeade-flavored smoothie and a Strawberry smoothie, comming up. I'll let you decide who's paying, but might I suggest splitting the cost?."
After preparing them, she set them on the counter as well. She punched more numbers on the cash register.
"$12.53, please."

"No, Edie...." he said, pushing her hand I back. "I'll pay." he said, handing Deeda a twenty and a ten for everyone's smoothies.

"LEt's go sit down while we wait." he said, walking away.

((Deedra just handed them their smoothies.))
Deedra smiled, sincerely, "Is that your final answer?" She teased, opening the register and getting out $7.47 change. "Would you like a receit?"

"No thanks." he replied, smiling. A rare occurence to anyone except Edie.

The group filed into a booth, with John and Yuzuki on one end, and Edie and Edward on the other, slowly drinking their smoothies.

"Yuzuki." he said, suddenly. "I don't want you or John feeling obligated to do something for Edie or myself. I don't do things like that to get something in return....I do them because I care about people and justice. Edie knows how I am, and that is why she didn't want you to pay Yuzuki....Although it is odd for Edie to offer to pay, since she was talking about me being so chilvarous....But, I'll tell you, chivalry isn't dead...." Edward said, taking a sip of his smoothie.

Edie smiled, "Chivalry may not be dead, but it's pretty close, dear." She leaned over and took a sip of Edward's smoothie, "Mmm...That's good! Wanna try some of mine?" She held the cup out to him.

Yuzuki had wanted to pay, now felt she had done something wrong by trying to pay. She sipped her Smoothie.

"Sure...." Edward replied, taking a sip of it.

"It's good, but too sweet..." Edward said. He sighed. Valentine's Day was a week away, and he knew everyone would be trying to bring him chocolate that he would never eat. He'd probably give it to Edie, John, and Yuzuki.....

"Yuzuki, what's wrong?" Edward asked.

Deedra shrugged and started washing out the blenders and spoons. That small group seemed to be the last for a while. Any others can go to Pamela. Her mind wandered, slightly intriged by the Hebrew book. Where did it come from? Where did they get it? What was it doing here? What did it say? What was it for? Who wrote it? When was it written? She was no where near asking them, as it would have been obvious that she had been evesdropping. But it was just a book. If it were important, they would have been more careful on keeping it secret.
As she was washing, she noticed the writing on her arm,'ask for overtime'. "Oh, yeah, still have to do that."
She paused what she was doing to grab a pen from the counter. She wrote under the first message 'start carrying around paper'. She was tired of rubbing her skin raw to get ink off, as it takes its toll after a few days.
Deedra shook her head back into the task at hand: washing. "Ugh."

John smiled before taking a sip of his smoothie. I wonder why people always pick on Yuzuki? She didn't do anything to deserve it. She might warm up to us but since she doesn't have any boyfriends I wonder if she would be my girlfriend, he thought to himself before shaking his head. No, I'll wait until she can take care of herself.
