Christianity is the one religion atheists aim at. It is what other religions aim at. It is the history of the society you live in. Christ changed the world.

But nice job trying to downplay it to your ordinary, day to day life. You came here to be against Christianity, I don't labor under any delusion that all of you came here out of some interest in Christianity.
Please stop grandstanding here. Spiritualism in every form is what Atheist are skeptical about. It's not their fault the this country is saturated with Christians and so Christianity is brought before them more than any other religion.
If certain Christians would have not overstepped their authority set down by Christ there would be less criticism of it.

How many of those religions still exist?
Buddahism started in the 4th century B.C.
hinduism started about 1500 B.C.
judaism started around 1812 B.C.
Jainism started around 599-527 BC
All of these are still growing strong. Belief is belief man. It's what you believe that is important not those of other religions.

You do understand that you are speaking to long-time members, not recently joined trolls?

Oh yes, quite
I don't (very often) stray, into CF's other forums
but, picked up upon this threads header in 'recent posts'
and having read through the thread, then, to make comments
that, as can be seen, received 'the attention' (replies) above
It is I am sure obvious (here) that a little clique of unbelievers, 'crowd-in' around Christians
(those that reply) and begin making 'personal remarks' / 'comments'
toward the Christian responder's beliefs, rather than the content of their posts
which clearly would have been reportable (not so long ago)

Rather than see yet more, of 'that', and to engage such 'contentious attitudes'
I chose, instead, to place them on my ignore-list, for they, offer, no more than ridicule

This is the Philosophy forum. According to the forum's Statement of Purpose, it is for the "critical examination of the rational grounds of our most fundamental beliefs and logical analysis of the basic concepts employed in the expression of such beliefs" (Concise Encyclopedia). If you feel you are unable to participate in accordance with the forum's intended purpose, then may I suggest other sections of the site where the standards are much more lax, such as Theology (Christians only)?

IOW: to criticize 'the beliefs' of Christians, yes, we Christians did notice the tendency /intention
ie: contrary to The Statement of Purpose (extract) as quoted below
The CF Philosophy forum is not intended for general apologetics of Christianity, i.e., the defense of the Christian faith against arguments, objections or attacks from non-Christians. Nor is this forum intended as a means for Christian evangelism (persuasion) of unbelievers. We ask that you would show respect for the Christian faith and not make posts which insult or mock Christianity or any part of the Trinity-Father (God), Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. Threads which staff determines are intended for the sole purpose of attacking or arguing against Christianity will be closed.

The Philosophy forum was presumably established by Christians, specifically those who are members of CF staff. Evidently they did not share your concern at the time. If you cannot abide having your beliefs examined critically or your claims questioned, then this is not the forum for you. Preaching may persuade elsewhere, but not here.

and,
I have given of my opinion regarding 'the purpose / intention', of this thread
I know, that I should be very wary of, baited-traps
and,
to recognise them earlier
What traps? What on earth are you talking about? Do you think it's impossible to examine the claims of Christianity critically without "insulting" or "mocking" Christians? If so, then this forum shouldn't even exist!

I was 'attracted' to the OP
and had interest to, to examine it's content
What happened below it was completely unexpected
Did you bother to read the thread through ?

You are entitled to your opinion, of-course
as am I

Yes, you are correct
I should not be amongst such-people, the world is, what it is

Yes, this thread is a wreck, and hardly representative of the general calibre of threads on the Philosophy forum.

A Christian started this thread.

Funny that you should assert that
The OP is a Unitarian
¬
Unitarianism is a Christian theological movement named for the affirmation that God is one entity,
in direct contrast to Trinitarianism, which defines God as three persons in one being.[1]
Unitarians maintain that Jesus of Nazareth is in some sense the "son" of God (as all humans are children of the Creator),
but that he is not the one God himself.
_

and then the atheists 'took control'
ie: it is no place for Christians to find legitimate discussion

Did you also read: Statement of Purpose

The thread was indirectly to atheists. No-one is stopping Christians from coming in.

I'll answer that, with a quote of a previous thread of your's

Are we reading the same thread?

This thread is not that inflammatory
but I've honestly witnessed Christians here insulting Atheists more than the opposite.

It should not be AT-ALL 'inflammatory'
The claim you make may not be as honest as you 'suggest'

What claim are you suggesting is dishonest? The one about this thread or my observation that on here Christians are more likely to insult Atheists?

We must be reading a different thread.

Which personal remarks are you referring to?
