It's actually quite simple.

According to AV1611VET, God created the Earth roughly 6,000 years ago.

BUT, when he did so, it was already 4.5 billion years old.

That about sum it up, AV?
Yes.

When God spoke this earth into existence, it came into existence 4.57 billion years old.

I don't know why.

My guess is for anthropic reasons.

I like what Adam Clarke says:

Genesis 2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
Adam Clarke's Commentary said:
It appears that God created every thing, not only perfect as it respects its nature, but also in a state of maturity, so that every vegetable production appeared at once in full growth; and this was necessary that man, when he came into being, might find every thing ready for his use.

Interesting. Any reason why he created Adam with the need for sustenance to begin with? Would Adam have died if he didn't eat?

Yes.

When God spoke this earth into existence, it came into existence 4.57 billion years old.

So did God create the remains and imprints of living things when he made the actual terrain before he made the living things themselves?

Also, what motive would God have to make the universe and the earth older than when they were created - that would mean his own creation is evidence against the accounts in the holy texts written about him -- on purpose nonetheless. This doesn't strike you as odd?

No.

My guess is to give the universe its 'taste'.

Just like raisin bread that is made in just moments, yet has aged grapes (raisins) imbedded in it for taste, the universe was created in a moment, yet has embedded 'raisins' in it for 'taste.'
This doesn't strike you as odd?
No.

The "taste" in this case being evidence utterly contrary to what you claim happened.

Why would God flavour His creation in such as way as to make it look like He didn't do what it claims He did in the Bible? What sort of a God does that? A deceiver perhaps? What sort of a God plays silly games of hide and seek that, apparently, if you lose you end up in in hell. What sort of God does that? A sadist God perhaps? One who likes to trick people?

You aren't painting your God in a very good light with this embedded age drivel.

In response to "So did God create the remains and imprints of living things when he made the actual terrain before he made the living things themselves?" you said "no".

So how did the remains of prehistoric life become embedded in the millions of years worth of strata? Did he put the fossils there as he created life to give it more of that "old" effect? Did he teleport remains there when things died back in the day?

My guess is to give the universe its 'taste'.

Without consideration for how the people he loves so much would interpret the evidence he left in the universe so that they wouldn't all be saved?

Just like raisin bread that is made in just moments, yet has aged grapes (raisins) imbedded in it for taste, the universe was created in a moment, yet has embedded 'raisins' in it for 'taste.'

Perhaps a better analogy would be the time it takes for bread to rise. I'm already familiar with your embedded age idea, and I'm pretty sure it's more like throwing the ingredients together and getting a finished loaf of bread without giving the bread time to proof and/or bake.

Otherwise, you answered to my question about fossils and remains incorrectly. Would these not be analogous to the fossils?

Are you about to tell me that the flood put them there? Even the places where they are embedded in meters of solid rock?

That's why God gave us the Bible, so we wouldn't make the mistake of relying too heavily on what we see.

Oh yeah, right. God makes a universe so massive we don't even know how big it is, sticks us in a tiny corner of it and then realises that what He's created might give us the wrong idea about 'Him' and what He's done because it gives every impression of being 13.7 billion years old, whereas in actual fact He created it during a slow week in 4004 BC. So, in order to correct this Almighty [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] up, he decides to write a book by dictating to some blokes in the middle East a few thousand years later to set the record straight on the misleading ideas that might be gleaned from HIS ENTIRE CREATION. Oh yes, and if you fail to believe this dodgy dossier amending His creation, which unfortunately also reads like a children's story, and prefer to rely on the evidence of your senses instead, you will be sent to hell.

Yeah, good one, AV1611VET. That's a cracker.

Instead, he has made it so some of us would make the mistake of relying too heavily on our interpretation of scripture.

Or worse, the mistake of relying too heavily on the likes of people like AV1611VET.

Out of curiosity, how did you arrive at that particular date? Thanks

...

He just answered -- simplicity.
