Maturity means being suitable for the intended purpose. Adam was created with a sense of balance and the ability to harvest his own food from the garden.
Eve is imagined about the same maturity as Adam. The garden is written as fully mature for it's intended purpose. There is nothing in the
scriptures that even imply that the earth or anything is "young" after creation. No one should expect it to be so. But the confusion is understandable.
Modern Science is very, very, recent and some have over emphasized it's value in understanding God's creation. You know how pendulums tend to swing.

First of all, I was asking AV because I want to get AV's view pon what maturity means.

Secondly, maturity does not mean fit for an intended purpose. If a car is totaled, does it become immature?

Maturity = possessing all the qualities to perform the duties expected of someone that age.

Chronologies are also embedded in marine sediment cores.
