I don't approve of them. I think if you are a married person, you should only see your spouse naked. If you aren't married, then you should only see yourself naked.
I don't understand what peopel have against nudity. It's thing to say you don't want to see a stripper, but to say that you should never see nudity? I guess you should never leave the U.S. because there are many other cultures where nudity isn't seen as something bad.

The nudity ban seems to be from a translation problem. In the OT when the translated sexuality they rendered it nudity. At least that is what I was told. It makes more sense when you consider the nature of the Israelite encampments in the desert.

the point is that seeing nudity and seeing a stripper is two different things. Seeing a stripper is on purpose (since they do not go about there 'job' on the street), but in other cultures it is an ancident to see someone like that.

But then this is besides the main statement. A stipper is there for others to see her (and maybe him), but in some cultures, people walk around with clothes not to be seen nude, but that that is how they dress. In america, seeing a nude person causes much distraction, but a person who grew up around people not completely dressed will not be distracted by the uncomplete dressing.

A stripper only job is to cuase others to lust after them, which is wrong. And nomatter your religion, lust is to want something you are not suspose to have, and so it is wrong in many religions.

Before, you go on I'm not in anyway supporting them so I hope no one takes offense to this.

Note to self: don't be offended. Ok, ready!

Anyways, my question is how do you all feel about family members/bf/gf's seeing strippers?

Don't care.

I have no problem with looking, besides, strippers aren't usually very appealing, they mostly look tired and unhappy (at least in my limited experience), and I know to my fiancee intellegence matters more than looks.

I just don't understand why anyone would want to see one.

It's one of those things that is sposed to be forbidden, so it's titillating.

Or why boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers or what not would feel the need to go see them so strongly that they would risk that relationship. Just my opinion and again sorry in advance if I offended anyone!

If you're risking your relationship to do ANYTHING you may want to re-evaluate your relationship.

Of course, I don't care if the FH goes to a strip bar, I know he has in the past, I have also, (and I know I'm going to get dragged to one for my bachelorette party) so he's not risking the relationship. If it were to be a problem with me, he wouldn't go. That simple with us, but we get along really well.

I'm not offended!

Edited to add: I might actually consider it if I had the body (I'm a bit too short and round) makes good money, can be safe if you're at a good place. I would find it empowering, but after a while, it would be just a job, like any other job. I've done nude modeling for art classes... it's the same thing, the novelty of being nude shortly succumbs to the obnoxiousness of having to stand very still for an hour.

Oh, I've no doubt that he prefers intelligence to looks in a PARTNER; most men are the same. But purely in terms of looking at, or for a one night stand...

Same for women.

That's what a good relationships about, I believe, not having to particularly worry about it.

I hate to break your stereotypes, but I'm a guy, and I would prefer intelligence over looks even in a short fling, that is, if I cared for such things. (Okay, for looking at beauty is preferable, but only because one can't see intelligence.) Women who lack intelligence are a big turnoff for me. I suppose I'm not capable of the shallowness that so many men have down to a fine art.

Can we get back to talking about strippers?

When I was younger I saw many. I have no interest in seeing them anymore. What would I think of a friend seeing them? It's their business. I feel sorry for them if this is a way to get thrills. Would a significant other be one? Absolutely not. I wouldn't share a spouse/girlfriend with anyone. How would I feel about a relative being a stripper?
I would try to talk them out of it. Very sleazy business, many use drugs, many get propostions for pr*stitiution. How would I feel about a spouse/girlfriend seeing a male stripper? I would not be happy about it, but I would only be with someone I could trust and know that nothing else would happen. I don't go to bachelor parties or anywhere that would tempt me to indulge in alcohol or prostitution. I'm single and holding out for something that's right. Too much information? I would hope not.

Hey, I'm new, can someone spare a blessing or two? Some of you have thousands, I'm not even out of double digits.

It doesn't break any stereotype. Any statement like "guys prefer..." means that they TEND to prefer something. It's not a stereotype to say that men are taller than women..it's simply true, and it's not changed by the fact that there are some women who are very tall and some men who are very short. Nor has it got anything to do with shallowness. It's simply the way both genders have evolved due their different role in reproduction.

If my wife went to see one I would be fine with it. Personally they frustrate me, so I don't enjoy them.
