Words are important, particularly when what a candidate says they are going to do is based on misinformation or disinformation. Jesus said we are judged by the words that proceed out of the mouth, because our words reveal what is in our hearts. It is patriotic duty to hold candidates and office holders accountable for everything they say and do. That goes for both sides.
Mental health experts describe the behavior as recreating reality to confirm their narcissistic view of themselves. We're witnessing masses of people conforming to Trump's recreated reality when they believe him over the mountain of facts and witnesses about the 2020 election that Trump claimed he won by a landslide. People were beaten and traumatized and sent to prison and even killed to support Trump's fantasy. But with Trump it becomes overwhelming because he tries to define truth and reality. he either has to be completely ignored or chronically confronted. It gets tiring. I think most rational people are fatigued by him.
FWIW, it is a profound thought I have underscored above. Are we culpable in God's eyes for not confronting a lie when we know the truth? I can recall a similar sentiment that evil prospers when good people stand by and do nothing. With Trump it does get tiring. Almost everything he says is inaccurate.
