Why were people stoned to death, even though the 6th commandment says Thou Shalt Not Kill?

Jesus explained “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” in John 8:7. During OT times the nation of Israel had God as their king rule over them, someone that is real who is without sin living among them. The command He gave them was "Thou Shalt Not Kill".Why were people stoned to death, even though the 6th commandment says Thou Shalt Not Kill?

And when He imposes a death sentence such as in Acts 5:1-11, what happens to that individual in its' simplest form is Ecclesiastes 12:7

"You shall not kill" obviously does not apply to people who God commanded to be executed.
It can be more accurately translated as "Thou shalt not murder" and murder is unlawful killing.
EXCELLENT response. Yes, they were "executed", which is "legal killing". It's a judgment of God.
yeah because you all really believe that it is okay to kill your children who are rebellious.
Where's that come from ? Most people here are(may) not even willing to train their children, nor to spank their children, or to tell them the truth (for whatever reason, if they even know the truth is rare).yeah because you all really believe that it is okay to kill your children who are rebellious.
Well, do you not believe that God commanded that in the OT?
Did God write that in stone ? Is it something important ?Well, do you not believe that God commanded that in the OT?

That's kind of a rhetorical question.then why do they project unto God their evils hidden in their hearts? or why do they lie in their hearts and say that they know better than God and justify it with legalistic interpretations of the bible?
Because that was a different time and a different covenant for a different people. The new covenant changes all of that. Why were people stoned to death, even though the 6th commandment says Thou Shalt Not Kill?
