15 million new jobs in just three years – that’s a record!
Most of the those jobs are government.
800,000 new manufacturing jobs in America and counting.
Those are PROJECTED jobs due to the huge spending package, the Infrastructure Bill.
Those jobs have not be created as yet.
And most of that money will be eaten up by administrative costs and waste.

Meanwhile, due to all the increased spending for government jobs and services, he National Debt increases $1 trillion every 100 days.

There were 275,000 jobs (200,000 adjusted) create February 2024 entirely Government and food service.
Manufacturing lost jobs.
There were more layoffs in Feb 2024 then in Feb 2009

Joe and his Administration has lead the country backwards in many ways. Inflation is still too high, illegal immigration is a massive problem that Joe has done nothing to try to stop. The budget deficits and the National Debt is out of control. Joe and his people have done absolutely nothing to try to correct these massive problems.
All the GOP has to offer as a solution is a candidate that’s already been rejected by the American people once before.

All Biden had to do was not act tired and doddery. Sounds like it was a total success.

I did not watch this campaign event. Just like I wont watch the "debates" in the unfortunate event they actually happen.
LOL, your position is really quite pathetic.
Biden's job at the State of the Union address was to update USA public on where USA is at today, what gains they have acheived in the past year and what plans they have for the next year. I like the idea of a State of the Union Address.

Biden delivered and delivered well. He looked comfortable, determined, satisfied and at times looked to be genuinely enjoying himself. He instilled optimism, and confidence in his audience. Many of the Republicans there just looked pathetic, uncomfortable, sour. They seem to want USA to be a mess, they seem to take it as a personal loss if anything goes well for USA under a Democrat. Many times did Biden sell up the idea of bipartisanship, He said wins at the border wouldn't be a Biden win, wouldn't be a Trump win, but would be a win for USA.

It just seems Republicans want USA to be a mess when a Democrat is in control, and they are deeply anguished when USA is doing well under Biden.

I'm really glad it was a success for Biden. He needed a solid campaign boost.

I prefer something like UK Parliament question time, which tho loaded with grandstanding, requires the PM to think rather than just read.

I saw Senator Britt, her points were hard hitting.
I'd recommend people to watch this. This is where the Republican Party is at.

Also, I'd recommend people to watch this. This is where the Democrat Party and the USA is at.

Make of it what you will.

This was not what you think it should be. State of the Union Address isn't a meet the press or field some questions. Trying to suggest that this is what it should be is disingenuous.

I don't know why you have chosen to present yourself this way. But that is your choice.
It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the content of the speech whether you thought it was truthful or inacurate, whether you thought it was uplifting or dire, whether you thought important things about the state of the union were missed or only glanced over?

But of course, you don't have to do what I would want to hear from you.
I get that you think this is just a campaigning thing. OK. Heard you, loud and clear. Disagree with you completely.

A neighbor pays $250 a month co-pays.
A friend could not afford insurance. He got Covid shot, then Covid.
His bill for ICU was $300,000.

I had a doctor before Obama Care. Now I have a nurse practitioner.
Obama Care is a failure for the middle class.

...and your proposal to fix it is????

It was in the 1960's that hospitals became "for profit" and Obama Care created a very deep pocket, namely Uncle Sam.

....sounds. your issue is not with Obama Care. After all, it came some 50 years after the 1960's.

Inflation has been a problem around the world in the post pandemic environment and in the shadow of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. But USA has done admirably well in this regard, being a country with one of the lowest levels of inflation in the world today.

Joe Biden promised to support and approve the bipartisan immigration bill that Trump and his scared lackey's voted against.

Trump's silly border wall, the financial cost of saving lives during the global pandemic are things that Joe inherited.

Except as stated in the State of Union address USA's recovery is one of the best in the world.
Americans can compare prices from 4 years ago to today's prices. Americans know that the costs that we are paying for goods and services are still too high. Inflation and the economy has become so bad that credit card debt in America is at an all time high. Bidenomics is a failure for the average American. The majority of Americans agree that Bidenomics is failing. That fact can be seen in the majority of polling concerning the American economy.

The so-called bipartisan Senate immigration reform bill was a complete and total piece of trash. It was a garbage bill that would have done absolutely nothing at all to stop the massive illegal immigration. That is why conservatives in the Senate voted against it.

It looks like the people around her are very uncomfortable sitting net to her. How does she keep getting voted in?
By getting more votes than her democratic opponent - that is how congressional races are done

The so-called bipartisan Senate immigration reform bill was a complete and total piece of trash. It was a garbage bill that would have done absolutely nothing at all to stop the massive illegal immigration. That is why conservatives in the Senate voted against it.

So you keep repeating.

"That bipartisan deal would hire 1,500 more security agents and officers, 100 more immigration judges to help tackle the backload of two million cases, 4,300 more asylum officers and new policies so they can resolve cases in six months instead of six years now. What are you against?

One hundred more high-tech drug detection machines to significantly increase the ability to screen and stop vehicles smuggling fentanyl into America that’s killing thousands of children.

This bill would save lives and bring order to the border. It would also give me and any new president new emergency authority to temporarily shut down the border when the number of migrants at the border is overwhelming.

The Border Patrol union has endorsed this bill. The federal Chamber of Commerce has — yeah, yeah, you’re saying. Look at the facts. I know you know how to read."

So which measure is "a total piece of trash" - Vambram?

As in the past two years, Democratic speech watchers’ reactions to Biden were almost universally positive, with about two-thirds of independents who tuned in offering a positive reaction. Roughly three-quarters of Republicans who watched this year’s address offered a negative review, up from about 6 in 10 for Biden’s past two State of the Union addresses.
Probably because it was mean spirited and dividing - his first sentences accused half the voters (Trump voters) threats to the state - even likening a speech made by another Democratic President speaking of Hitler -

That is not a reconciliatory tone by any measure.

and that is just the first three min of a 90 min diatribe against his political enemies.

At least there was an adult in the Speakers Chair rip[ping up his speech.

Can you be more specific? I would honestly like to know what makes it "trash".

That is not a reconciliatory tone by any measure.

First two paragraphs:
Mr. Speaker, Madam Vice President, members of Congress, my fellow Americans, in January 1941, Franklin Roosevelt came to this chamber to speak to the nation, and he said, “I address you in a moment, unprecedented in the history of the union.”

Hitler was on the march. War was raging in Europe. President Roosevelt’s purpose was to wake up Congress and alert the American people that this was no ordinary time. Freedom and democracy were under assault in the world.

You felt accused?
