Believe it or not, I have never really been into college football. If I were going to follow college football I am not sure who I would follow, Pitt or Penn State. I would probably lean toward Penn State, but being in Pittsburgh it would be much easier to actually make it to a Pitt game.

Now last year, when I was dating a Lt. Colonel in the army there was going to be set up a great army v. navy rivaly between Khaleas, whose husband is a Navy officer, and myself, whose then girlfriend was an army officer. But, that relationship ended and ruined our little rivalry plans!

No, that isn't accurate. Here in Pittsburgh they are saying he will miss one or two games. That is, unless the news has changed since last evening. The Steelers might not even pick up another quarterback to back up Charlie Batch.

Well, I hope he will be back in a more timely fashion than that mentioned on our news. I am beginning to believe our local news media always try to make it sound worse than it really is.

we used to go to AggieCon every year...that one was pretty awesome...some friends of mine would go to the big one in San Diego every year...they would always bring me back some Green Lantern stuff (my favorite character)...

The one we just went to was DragonCon. It was a blast! Before I went, I used to think the 501st was kinda lame, but after meeting a bunch of them and hearing them talk about all the charity work the group does, I think they're great!

For those who don't know, the 501st legion is a group of peopple who dress up like Storm Troopers.

OKay, where shall I place the recipe for the blueberry/blackberry cobbler.

I just found it. My hubbie placed my recipe book on a cookie sheet and then put another cookie sheet on top of it.

It is a fasting recipe ... but don't tell anyone.

Does anyone else hate banks? I deposited a check which they decided was large enough that they needed to put a ten day hold on. So when I received another check, I opened an account with another bank 20 miles away from my home. This second bank is not a corporate bank, and they credited the money to my account immediately even though it was slightly larger than the other check at the other bank. Unfortunately, all I have is the temporary checks from that bank, and I can't pay bills online with them. So I had to put some of that money in the first bank. So I drove 40 miles round trip to get cash out of the new bank to put in the crappy bank so that there would be no need for holds on a check or anything. Well that was Saturday, and apparently the money won't be in my account until tomorrow morning. Why is it that I can hand them cash which they put in their little drawers, and yet it is not considered to be in their bank? I am going to close that account and tell everyone what a horrible experience I have had with them, but it really doesn't help me any. I am real close to taking my money out of all banks and keeping it in my mattress. If only the bank of mattress had a checking account and a debit card.

I never understood that, either. I finally left one bank because they were taking up to five days just to credit my paycheck to my account. When I closed my account with them, an "automatic payment" insurance bill came to them (for a health insurance company I had no record of ever purchasing insurance from...and neither did they!) so they re-opened my account to pay the bill, charged me an insufficient funds fee (on a CLOSED account!) instead of sending THEM an "account closed" notice.

After meeting with the manager, I thought everything was cleared up.

Until the next month when they did the exact same thing.
