Soul Sleep as proposed by the SDA church is definitely a satanic heresy:

Ecclesiastes 12:7
Luke 8:55
2 Corinthians 5:8
Philippians 1:21,23

It might be necessary to read Luke 8:55 in the authorized KJV bible. I am not sure.

Amen brother. May the Lord Jesus open there eyes.

Would you please read the following as already given, in this very thread?

Ecclesiastes:

As for Ecclesiastes 12:7, was also already given in the 2 Corinthians 5:8 posts. However, briefly again:
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Genesis 2:17

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou [art], and unto dust shalt thou return. Genesis 3:19 [see also Genesis 3:22-24]

Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. Psalms 104:29

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:7

Therefore, "spirit" is "breath", and this "breath" is Gods' which gave "it". We which are "dust", when we "die", we return "unto" the "earth" even "as it was" before God breathed His breath into the dust, and we therefore return not "unto" God, but again to the "ground". We are "dust and ashes" [Genesis 3:19, 18:27, etc]

When God deems it time to reclaim His "breath of life":
"[There is] no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; ..." Ecclesiastes 8:8
As for Luke 8:55 [And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.], again, that which returned to her, was her "breath" [Greek Pneuma, not "Psyche", though once the Pneuma returned, her Psyche was active once more, being alive]. In otherwords, she began to breath again, and so be alive, picking up thought from where she last ceased to remember.

Philippians 1:21,23, is again already addressed in the 2 Corinthians 5:8 posts. Please view those again.
For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Philippians 1:23

Notice that word "and" ["kai"] again, as was shown in the 2 Corinthians 5:8 replies. This word "and" is addition, not equals. It does not mean that "departure" = [is] "being with Christ", but rather they are two events. [1] Departure, and [2] being with Christ. Thus the "and" is not instantaneously as from our living perspective in continued history on earth, even as seen in context, reveals the passage of a great amount of time... a sleep in death.

Paul states that he included himself in those that would "sleep" in death:
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 1 Corinthians 15:51
Paul always spoke of this, and did not desire people to be ignorant of it:
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 1 Thessalonians 4:13
See the word "depart" [in Philippians 1:23] in the Greek Concordance, for the exact same word is utilized in Luke 12:36, when Jesus "return" from the wedding, which is now taking place.

Paul also speaks of his "departure" in the following verse, which sheds more light:
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 2 Timothy 4:6

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 2 Timothy 4:7

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:8
This is speaking of the 2nd Advent ["appearing", see Greek]. Paul would depart this present world, in the sleep of death, and would not realize the being "with" Christ, until He came in the Clouds, and raised him in the First Great Resurrection. It is only then that Paul would be "with" Him in person.

Philippians 1:21, is seen in the context of Philippians 1:20. For Paul, to live, is Christ and for Paul to die is also "gain". Howso? For in either case, Christ Jesus is glorified in his servant/child and His Kingdom is increased. Martyrs for Christ Jesus only increased the desire of others to become Christians and take up the same. The blood of the martyrs is seed...

...additionally, Paul, though he would die [in which very day his thoughts would "perish" [Psalms 146:4] and give up this world entirely] and sleep, the very next conscious thought of his would be to hear the voice of Jesus Christ, commanding that he "Arise, awake and sing..." and then He would see Jesus' in the clouds of glory [Angels] and be then caught up into their arms and taken back to Heaven, and being with Him [Jesus] forever... thus what Gain! Having given up mortality for immortality...

I only find one chapter of Jude in my bible.
Mine too. But that "the Bible sez..." appeared to come from a Bible that had more stuff in it than mine does, if you know what I mean. ;)

Are my eyes deceiving me?
Probably.

A anglican who support soul sleep?
Not really. I just very don't support saying "the Bible sez..." where it doesn't.

Lord Jesus have mercy on us.
Kyrie eleison.
