• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Yeah - I should be able to sleep soon. I haven't gone to bed very early at all since the boys left to their dad's house. It seems strange when they're not home for long stretches like this. Although, it does make me more sympathetic to what my ex must feel when they are away from him for so long.

I'll probably pick up a sleep aid this weekend - I can't have sleep problems for the next 5 weeks or I'll be a certified zombie by the time they get back!

I hope you get the email issue worked out soon. That's got to be so frustrating.

Thanks...... I am used to it now. I will deal with it.

Did you see the phrase I shared about being bit by bigger dogs? These little things aren't such a problem. They're things that will pass or we'll find a way to handle it. I hope I can keep this character to get it taken care of. I wouldn't want to have to start over.

Yes - I saw your post about bigger dogs. This too shall pass, eh?

FL - is for Florida. I've lived here all of my life, save my senior year of HS. I actually managed to move 2 hours north of "home" a little over a year ago now - it's like being in a whole new world!

Eglin is where a friend of mine worked - I haven't been to that area of FL much - only passed through it
I just don't like riding in the car for long periods of time. I once made it from West Palm Beach to Atlanta in 8 hours. I didn't stop much and I was driving a Mustang. :p

I would like to see more of FL, though. I was thinking of taking the boys to Amelia Island in the Fall.

usually use 75 when traveling through FL - so I've been just about through every town/city near 75

some near 10 but Gulf coast

Wow - The world always seem smaller when people start getting to know one another
It sure does. I love that 6 degrees of separation theory.

heard St. Augustine is really nice.

Been to alligator alley (years ago) been on the other side -- Didn't make it to the keys though..

Miss FL sometimes - really miss the brighter sunshine- don'tmiss the storms - I know the storms can hit everywhere but the hurricanes, the winds, the tornadoes, and the floods all at once got to be a bit much for me .... Kept moving North each time there was a move -- lived from Punta G. to Hernando and many places in between -- visited High Springs and looked at moving to some other areas but Ididn't know enough about Lake City and such so........ I'm not there any more.

Yup - you've been all over FL. LOL I love the Keys! They have a leather sandal factory down there. The first pair of Kinos (the name of the sandal) I bought was $5 and I owned them for 10+ years.

St. Augustine is nice, too. I haven't been there in years. My grandparents live just outside of Gainesville (Go GATORS!!) so I get up to that area occasionally.

I can't say I would never move away from FL, but it's not a bad place to live. Hurricanes are just a way of life for me. I went through my first one at the tender age of 4 and I still remember crying b/c I thought our poodle was going to blow away like Toto when my parents took her out. :p
