It's actually a very upbeat song. And I like it b/c it reminds me that I will fall in love again someday.

The power of positives..... God is a yes and amen kind of God.

We do not know what the future holds but HE DOES HAVE GOOD PLANS FOR US.

God allows certain people to home in [so to speak] on certain passages at certain times. I shared that one tonight. I believe God was leading and I like that one a lot, too.

He really does have good plans for us.

I sincerely believe we can choose to miss out on his blessed good plans for us if we choose our own way of doing things instead of doing things His way though. He gives us freedom to choose, right?

Wow it's been so long since I heard this song, but your last post made me think of it immediately. As I started going over the lyrics in my head, tears flowed as I realized the awesome mercy of God, the tenderness in which in He calls us to leave our past behind to fellowship with Him.

Isn't God wonderful...it's amazing when we realize that there are times we are soooo much harder on ourselves than God is on us....

He loves us and when we ask for forgiveness He gives it to us...and then He casts our sin into the sea of forgetfulness...

But then we keep punishing ourselves...we keep going over things we've done in the past and condeming ourselves for it...we forget that condemnation is NOT from the Lord - it is from the enemy and yet we allow it to become a part of our lives when all the Lord wants us to do is look to Him and to His grace and mercy and forgiveness...

We need to stop punishing ourselves for things that the Lord has already forgotten

That is a beautiful song...I've never heard it. It's so true. It's been a very difficult journey for me to move forward and believe that just because my marriage failed doesn't mean that I'm a failure. It doesn't mean that I am not capable of loving and being loved - of being IN LOVE again. I just have to keep reminding myself that the past made me who I am and has hopefully made me a better person and furthered me in my journey with Him.

Ironically - one of the first things I did when I filed for divorce was pray for forgiveness. It went against everything I believe to walk away from my marriage.

And the tears are good. They cleanse us and heal us. There are all these milestones that you encounter after divorce and I have found that releasing the emotions that they evoke and allowing God to restore me has been the most amazing process.

We are all human and ALL do things that aren't what God would want for us, but we need to remember he works ALL things together for good to those that love the Lord. Even through divorce. God cares more about your heart, and your heart toward HIM, than any of the sins he already knows we will commit.

If she was "dodging" the truth as you say, she wouldn't have even responded. It doesn't invalidate how she feels. Do you have a caring bone in your body, or do you just like to upset people that are already hurting?
