House of Horrors quest. ***Spoilers***

So I made a new character (after saving over my old character that was level 27 -_-) anyways he's a mage and I wanted him to be the good guy. Anyways while I was adventuring in markarth (think thats how its spelled) I saw this guy talking about daedra worship. Long story short I heard when you bring the bring back the priest you have to beat him with a mace until he surrenders his soul. anyway you can take the good guy route. (sorry for bad grammar didn't feel like correcting myself)

I HATED that quest. I almost wanted to cry. My boyfriend wouldn't tell me what happened in the quest, but it freaked me out in general. I'm probably just a wimp.

I just joined the nightingales, cool armour. I'm trying to clear down my miscellaneous missions down a bit but the more I do the more I seem to pick up...hey I'm, the arch mage of the college at Winterhold and what do they have me doing...finding books for an orc in the Arcaneum.

Its on par with Oblivion but a simpler menu system and levelling up.

Hey guys, for some reason skyrim keeps shutting itself off. It's not crashing, it's just going down like I close the window.

Any help on how to resolve this?

I find mine is very glitchy, like I'm given a wedding band from some bandit who I killed and I cant sell it, put it down or give it back because she's dead and its a quest item. And there are one or two doors that don't open even with the right combination and now I'm stuck with several things I can't get rid of or put down.

Does anyone else find that the more they can carry the faster they seem to be carrying too much?

Finally found the gamers section on the forums!

Skyrim = GOTY in my opinion... I got it on release and still haven't finished it. I did have a bit of time off it playing Battlefield 3 in between but have just gone back. So many quests!

I like to take as long as I can before finishing a game like this

Ahhhhh... I want to go home and play it now...

You never actually finish Skyrim! You just keep playing with new characters.


I've noticed my game minimizing too. Could be antivirus or something causing it. It's not bad enough for me to worry about...so I don't.

I'm about halfway thru the Unusual Gem quest. It's a grind so far, but fun. When you complete it, you will permanently find a lot more gems. So, mo' money!!

I'm using the wiki to keep track of where I've been. There are 24 gems and I don't want to do any backtracking. That would be a giant waste of time.

I enjoy doing the burglary jobs for the Thieves guild but they get a bit repetitive after a while...if only for the money. I try to clear my miscellaneous missions but the more I clear the more I seem to pick up.

Mmm.. ive actually just started getting in to the Thieves Guild missions after doing a bunch of others... I know what you mean as well! I try to clear my misc quests but they just keep piling up

I havent done the strange gem one yet... I have the mission active, but I only have about 6 gems so far.

The one thing I am trying to do is buy up all the property I can and completely furnish them Im a sucker for a good place to live. Ive bought in Riften, White Run, Solitude and recently bought in Markarth.... havent got enough gold to furnish that one yet... I also have the option to buy in Windhelm at some outrageous fee... I really do struggle to find enough gold. And I can only get so much from vendors when selling stuff before they run out of gold to buy... that a little frustrating

Any ideas on the best places to get gold?

Yeah, its funny how I started the game with intentions of being the noble hero... But now that I have started the thieves guild quests... im thinking, well... might be a good way to get some cash!

Done any of the assassin quests? Some of those are downright nasty.

if you do burglary jobs and numbers jobs at the same time thats 1000 gold each time you return with both complete. You also get some special jobs from Delvin that pay a bit more and spread the thieves guild. Sell stuff you acquire on jobs (and as well as burgling feel free to steal other worthy items and sell them to Tonita who pretty much buys anything.
