  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"I spent almost an hour today sitting in the exact same chair where Chris Lollie was, typing on my laptop, and fiddling with my phone. Security never came up and asked me what I was doing there."

Probably because they've been instructed to NOT approach anyone anymore.

Yup.

Notice also in the security video the white guy sitting in the same area who didn't get told to move along. It's like a view of white privilege so simple you can just see it.

Considering the publicity this issue has received and the fact it has been shown this is a public place, I wouldn't expect security to approach anyone sitting in those chairs at this point, whether they are; white, brown, black, yellow or purple.

Unless that white guy was an employee. The lady left after the second time, so I can only assume she wasn't an employee.

Turns out he went after the cop's gun after all. Looks like it was a righteous bust

As far as I can tell, that wasn't in the police reports. Strange they would have missed that.

He just kept digging his own hole. He was disrespectful. He was swearing (I know in some places THAT is illegal, ridiculous as it is) and he just kept on and on and he'd ask a question but never let the police answer. He FINALLY says "what do you want from me", and I just rolled my eyes at that, because he knew what she wanted from the get-go.

All I'm saying is that he did nothing to make this situation better.

Yeah, that would've been one of the big main points of the police report if that had happened.

Yeah, that would've been one of the big main points of the police report if that had happened.

All he had to do was show his ID, explain that it was his understanding that the seating area was public and explain why he was there. End of situation and everyone walks away

Correct, I can't recall the police report mentioning that, which is a pretty important point, don't ya think?

Also, if he went for the cops gun, they would have taken him down hard immediately and that didn't happen either.

I do think, the possibility exists, that Hollie was looking for something like this to happen and why he threatened to sue right away and had two cell phones.

I am still of the position, the bank and security guard are to blame for this one and actions of the 2nd cop should be examined as well. It shouldn't be too hard to have Hollie's attorney ask for security tapes on that area before this event happened and see if the guards ask people to leave.

Oh. He brought the abuse on himself.

"Baby, why'd you make me hit you?"

I'm going to be a stickler here, because I chuckle every time I see it. His name is Lollie, with an L. Not Hollie. :p

Aww...so's law without the so!

Nope, that's not what I said at all. I said he didn't do anything to help the situation. And he wasn't abused. Cops acted within the boundaries they needed to, in my opinion. We'll see what a review brings about. Charges not being filed doesn't automatically mean an arrest is bogus.
