• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

One thing we know about Lollie is that he is a well balanced race baiter. He has a chip on both shoulders

Even if Lollie set the thing up, which from what I have seen is possible, it does not change how the security guard and the cops reacted to it.

If the cops set up a speed trap and they nab someone, it doesn't change the fact that the person was speeding or not.

The cops received a complaint and it is their duty to respond. Lollie refused all opportunity to cooperate and received his just reward. Frankly, the charges against him should not have been dropped

Yes, cops received a complaint of loitering and did not witness the event, they only received a call. I have seen no evidence, that Lollie was required by Minnesota law to show ID under these circumstances. If someone will present such evidence, I would be more than willing to acknowledge he should have shown his ID.

Was Lollie difficult? Yes, but difficult does not equal breaking the law and or giving up his rights. The security guard who called, did not know the local laws and the male cop who was not professional, stepped over the line, IMO.

And they did. No problem there.

Lollie refused all opportunity to cooperate and received his just reward.

An illegal arrest is "just"? A tasing in violation of department policy is "just"? See, City of St. Paul Police Policy Manual § 246.05 ("A subject who is simply walking or running away from a scene and not posing assaultive/violent or potentially assaultive/violent behavior should not be exposed to the ECD").

I'm afraid I cannot agree with your definition of "just".

There were never even any charges against him. The City Attorney declined to even enter a misdemeanor tag citation. Check the Ramsey County misdemeanor docket--it is open to the public.
