The crime of sitting?
Reminds me of Rosa Parks committing a crime by sitting.
When our liberal friends want ot make an issue of racism by cops, they should find a case where the alleged victim of said racism wasn't committing a crimeSupposedly the bench was on private property, okay so I'm wondering if someone reported the guy, which is why cops showed up in the first place.
Contrary to what some people here would like to believe, cops don't go up to arrest people while they are sitting on a public park bench.
The bank was the victim![]()

Subject to easements in favor of the City of Saint Paul for public use. And public use even includes scary Negroes. Shocking, I know.Supposedly the bench was on private property, okay so I'm wondering if someone reported the guy, which is why cops showed up in the first place.

The trespass came into play when he refused to leave. Remaining in the bank put him in violaltion

Not all areas of a bank are open to the public![]()
The guy who was claimed to have been trespassing, could have simply stopped and talked to the female cop and explain and when he refused, it didn't help the situation. He also right away claimed racism and was recording, so it would appear, he may have had an agenda in the whole thing. I could be wrong though.
This doesn't in any way address my quote that was in answer to Mach's post, so let me go over it again. The female cop seemed quite reasonable and tried to talk with the guy and explain why they were there, but the male cop was a jerk and went overboard.

Now, was he trespassing? I don't know, because I have seen no evidence it was considered private. Obviously, someone from the bank called the cops, because he didn't leave when asked. Did they try to shoo him off because he was black, or would they have done the same if he was white? I don't know the answer and I don't believe anyone has any evidence to claim either way, except, speculation.

CaDan has been pointing out white supremacy. In multiple threads. He has been.
The Saint Paul Legislative Code, Sec. 140.11, provides that "All parts of the skyway system shall be open to the public every day between the hours of 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. and between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m."
That's part of the easement deal that got these things made. So, no, Nightingale Realty could not exclude Negroes from the skyway.
To the extent Nightingale Realty wanted to exclude scary Negroes from the Whites-only seats, they needed to implement something an actual physical barrier involving "a use of a key, access card, access code, escort or other security clearance."
Sec. 140.01.
