This may seem silly but I just love it when my dad breaks into a big smile. He has an awesome smile. I see it in my nephew and several of our family. It just lights up my heart.

OHHHHH hes sooooooooooooo cute! I love animals!

Sitting in the middle of the woods (with a can of raid for spiders) and picking huckleberries in the stillness of the say when the sun is just over head and the view of the lake in the distantance reflecting the perfect form of the mountains!

The beginning of the school year and knowing I DON'T have to go back!!! Ah, the joys of adulthood!

Oh huckleberries,yes.........huckleberry pie.We are going out to see if we can find some huckleberries,funny you should mention them.

And no more school and being happy we don`t have to go.....I can relate to that.I have often thought that too.

Are huckleberries the same as blueberries? I'm not sure they grow here in Tx. We have blackberries and othere berries but haven't seen any huckleberries....at least by that name. And I've NEVER had a huckleberry pie!! Hope you have a fun pickin' time Mss!



A simple pleasure for me is waking up on a Sat. morning thinking I have to go to work then realizing it's the weekend and I can go back to sleep!

Joy,huckleberries are alittle nicer than blueberries.They are darker and supposed to be the best for anti-oxidents for your body.We found a batch,I looked last summer and found none.We found a batch today.We got not quite 5 lbs.Took around 1 an a half hours to pick.I`m alot slower than I used to be.It was so fun.I had prayed we could find some and pulled up on an old logging area and there is a huge batch there.Acres of them.We are going to go back later this week.Its an hour or so away.
You can come and visit me and have some huckleberry pie anytime you wamt.I would love that.Although I always have alittle hard time with my crusts,so you could help me making pies.I`ll freeze the berries and wait for you.That would be so cool
