fated
The White Hart
All person's of good will must insist that Natural law (evolutionary law if you prefer) be written into the governmental policy, for the good of all mankind. This is not a group of 'beliefs' but a reality that must be upheld. The result of moving away from it is civil strife, both nationally and internationally.Growing fat in our american fantasy land is little more than a distraction to the problems..the Church has and can be the vehicle to permanently relieving sufferingt, as opposed to trying to "elect" a sanctified gov't to do it.
It isn't a preference for or against a religion, but of understanding the human experience.
Typically the legislating morality argument is used to defend killing someone or determining that some people have more rights than others. Rather than assuming that all people have the same basic rights.
For instance, even if you believe that an embryo has no rights in a way that contradicts the value its mother places on it, then you, are saying that poor people and minorities have less rights. A preponderance for killing their children. And thus an assault on a minority, or a group who is outside of the societal 'norm.' You are, if you read the Planned Parenthood propaganda, explicitly protecting the rich from the poor. The Democratic platform, then, is the largest and most powerful hypocrisy in the world.
