Whoa! The deeper one goes, the more mind-boggling it is...

do ya think God preserved Cain because he was meant to have children (descendants) etc?

Thats one thing I was looking into, as Cain who is of the wicked so likewise any of us can be right? Children spiritually speaking who follow in the way of Cain, or whomever right?

I fell upon something similiar looking into Judas which speaks to the same thing.

Of Judas it says this...

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. 15 Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

So above speaks of his FATHERS (those before him) which pertain to "men of Kerioth" (which is what Judas "last name" Iscariot means) and prophetically speaks of the same elsewhere as well, but below speaks of his children (them who come after him) and their desolate places (His posterity)

Here as vagabonds too....

9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10 Let his children be continually **vagabonds**, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

This was said of Cain as well

I shall be a fugitive and**a vagabond** in the earth , (hid from his face)

Same is used here in regards to Isreal...Same word **wander** here is the same as vagabond

Numbers 32:13 And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them **wander** in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

And it was the children of Israel that covenanted with him the thirty pieces of silver, of Christ...


Psalm 109:5 And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

Which to me speaks prophetically of what is prophesied here...

Prov 17:14 Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.

Where here it speaks of his posterity

Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

b) latter time (prophetic for future time)
c) posterity
d) last, hindermost

As He WENT out from them (betraying the Lord) it speaks of A THEM that WENT out from us (as well) that it could be made manifest even as they asked (among themselves) WHO is it Lord, and he gave to eat and WENT OUT even as he was manifest, as the children of God and the children of the devil are also made manifest.

Yeah if you follow the bishoprick of Judas to the psalms (where the apostles quote from) you can follow that which pertains to him there

Cain had children, check Genesis sis... although I dont really follow the fleshly lineages of the thing but more after it speaks of ones "way" according to the spirit of a thing. Sorta like how it speaks of the "way of Cain" and others

As Christians, and those anticipating the coming of our Lord, should it be of importance to the body of Christ to study and understand the last book of the bible?

There are many incorrect theories floating around about what Revelations teaches, this being the case, shouldn't the church have the best understanding (as good as possible that is) in regards to this book?

Even move, do you think that Revelations is important to salvation and our mission to preach the gospel?

Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Of course if you think that the book of Revelation is a book of end time events that happens somewhere in the future You probably won't see the importance of it.

Why would God bother putting it there if it wasn't important?

Well they did and do bind those things to their hands and foreheads, but I think you are purposefully missing the point. Having it bound to them didn't put it in them, which is where it was suppose to go. In other words, their physical "mark" did not accurately declare who their allegiance was given to, but their hearts, and actions did.



I don't see the two as being separate. If you worship the beast, you'll have his mark. If you don't you won't. You won't worship the beast and be unable to buy or sell, conversely, you won't buy and sell but not have the mark.

Now suffice it to say that I believe their will be some kind of physical medium through which they determine who can or cannot buy or sell, but that will only come after the mark has been accepted or rejected. And no I have not seen the movie you spoke of. My wife gives me enough Big Brother conspiracy plots to consider.

Not sure where the conversation has gone to since, but to answer the original post, I think that of course it should be read. It's just as important as the rest of Scripture. I just think some have a tendency to obsess over it like their deciphering hieroglyphics in an Egyptian pyramid.

I'm not saying the purpose of the mark is to worship the beast. I'm saying those who will have the mark will already be worshiping the beast. Again, you're getting caught up in this physical aspect which doesn't make sense in light of what Paul says about our war being a spiritual one against wickedness in high places. Again, I believe that physical media will be used to determine those who will be allowed to buy and sell, but whatever method they employ, it will only be a physical manifestation of a spiritual condition.
