  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Should I be responsible?

is the lawyer an independent lawyer or work for a firm?
if he works for a firm, you could go above him

my husband will ask for supervisor or mgr and once he reaches the top person, they make things right
he always stays calm while explaining the situation

This is sure quite a challenge put before you SouthernScotty, and yet God let it get put through. ;) By going through frustrating situations we learn more that we need to always depend on God, we are helpless without His help.

This tests your patience, and it is understandable you feel angry. Feeling angry when treated unjust and when something bad happens isn't sinful, but when we keep on putting fuel to the fire as well as give in to our own anger acting upon it in an harmful way for ourselves and others, then it is sinful. You shouldn't be afraid of standing up for the truth, though, and you can confront this laywer as long as you also are well-tempered.

"A fool vents all his feelings.
But a wise man holds them back."
(Proverbs 29:11)

"So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God." (James 1:19-20)

I do agree with what someone else mentioned in here about praying for him and for this situation. Knowing that God is in control, and no matter how it might look like, even if it would seem like everything would get worse, God will get you through in this. And when you:

Just keep on trusting in your God, He has got you where you are! And He won't let you down, but He will strenghten you and help you in everything you do. Also doing what king David did, coming before God with everything, whether it be small or big decisions, it is never too little nor too big for God! :)

Hey's guys, I have a question, Without going into a lot of details in which most of you know already anyway, [extended "family"]
The Lawyer made a terrible mistake on paperwork and charged me 375.00 for the paperwork and sent it out... Which come to find out is all wrong and was completely unneeded to begin with.
He realized this afterward and yet still is making me pay for it? Am I responsible for his mistakes?

No you certainly are not responsible and should not be paying anything towards this. Do you have anything in writing? perhaps an email? or a voicemail where the lawyer has admitted the error? please seek advice before you pay anything.

Hope you resolve this,
James.

He is independent.
Do you have anything in writing?
Yes everything he has done.
I caught to what he is doing here, You see he charged my Dad to do all this and make sure everything was airtight with the will and me as beneficiary on house deed .
Then after Dad passed, He socked me with unnecessary problems because he forgot he had done dad's will.
So he created a bunch of problems by sending my family that Dad stated he left nothing too, the deed to the property for them to sign off on. NOW they refuse to return the paperwork and think they have a loophole into the estate. I caught on to this and corned the lawyer so he got mad and admitted he made a mistake but that he had done the paperwork as "he" stated. I am calling another attorney but I feel robbed

I do hope that you get the proper advice from your new lawyer and follow up what you have been ripped off.
Yes, we do put things in Gods hands always believing that He will work things out for us, but we also have a responsibility to expose the dark deeds and I went through stuff similar when my Mum passed two years ago. Her solicitor couldn't find the will she made and went by one that was made years before by my Mum and Dad. I found a copy of the will he said he didn't make etc etc and eventually it was worked out after months of four family members signing off on Mums will whilst another member delayed over and over eventually signing it. The heartache and distress was unbelievable and I feel sick even thinking of it. The funeral guy ripped me off terribly and I now would say to anyone to be very careful and also dont, because of the stressful time, let people get away with not doing their job properly and charging you for things you are not responsible for.
My brother left feedback for the funeral guy, nothing vindictive, simply the truth.
If you can help someone by warning them, why wouldn't you?
God bless you, I have said before " there's nothing new under the sun"

Oh my, We have so much in common, Dads will and I haven't even mentioned the funeral home. lol Dad had a prearranged plan all paid. "yeah right" after it was all over, they sent me a bill for an amount as much as he has paid to begin with, I said what is this? They said well his plan didn't cover all the expenses of cremation and blah blah blah. All they did was cremate him, I bought a Urn somewhere else.
That money was kept in a bank all these years and drew interest the whole time and when it come time to "need" it, They charged me double. SIGH Where they got me was when I showed up to preach, They had a whole table of little booklets with Dads obituary and a book to sign and flowers and junk that I didn't even want and never ask for. They also ordered 15 death certs, And I have used ONE
I just paid it and am trying to move on, but sometimes I would like to baptize them like some of those Orthodox do their infants..:sorry:

Not sure if this was mentioned earlier but by exposing this lawyer for this situation may help him get his act together and not commit similar errors for other folks down the line.
