None of the restorations or extensions of the Second Temple of Zerubbabel could compare with the work begun by King Herod I (the Great) at the beginning of 19 BC. Herod complained that the Temple of Zerubbabel was built like a fortress and was shorter than that of Solomon’s Temple by about 90 feet because of a decree made by Darius, the Persian king. King Herod no doubt wanted to be remembered forever as the builder of the greatest temple of the Jews.

Although the reconstruction was equal to an entire rebuilding, still the Herodian Temple cannot be spoken of as a third Temple, for Herod even said himself, that it was only intended to be regarded as an enlarging and further beautifying of that of Zerubbabel’s.
The work of rebuilding the Temple began in 19 BC which was the 18th year of King Herod’s reign. There were 10,000 skilled laborers and according to Josephus (Ant. 15.11.2) the laity could not enter certain parts of the building, therefore 1000 Levites were specially trained as builders and masons, and carried out their work so efficiently and carefully that at no time was there any interruption in the sacrifices and other services. The work was started by leveling larger portions of the Temple Mount, so that the new building might be erected on a broader base. It was also made much taller, so that the white stone gleamed in the bright Palestinian sun and could be seen from miles away.........

People need to stop listening to the negative things that the media are spewing about Trump. As Christians we should have our eyes open and gaze at the subtle, yet important things that Trump is doing for his country.

The US needs to see that Trump is a tool that is being used by God... as time progresses, the media will grow louder, but it is only a clanging gong attempting to hide the works that God is doing in your nation.

I say this as a Canadian.. Look at the new North America Trade deal... You guys won and won big. Trump put our mealy mouthed, juvenile, entitled little brat of a Prime Minister in his place. Justin fired off his inexperienced arrogant mouth and Trump made him pay...

Good for you... as Trump should do... bad for us.... because we have not got a Prime minister with our country's best interest in mind. Your POTUS is working to make the US great. Don't miss the truth.

I am not so sure we should focus so much on supporting the temple being rebuilt, instead we should ficus more that we are not actively hindering anything. Essentially, mind our own business and let those in Israel worry about it. Else we could find that we are going up against God Himself. When someone can locate a directive from Yeshua or the Apostles that we are to be active participants in a 3rd temple, one way or the other, I will listen, but probably still hold the position that it is not in our pay grade to do anything about.

That is an excellent point indeed!

At the minimum we should not try to stop what G-d may well be working out!

I am now convinced that the fulfillment of
Ezekiel 47
is the key to turning around most of the disasters predicted to strike this earth..... so that the full fledged Era of Messiah can begin on earth where the lion will even eat straw like an ox.

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
(Luke 21:25)

This Great Tribulation will never end unless humanity builds the Temple in accordance with the prophecy of Ezekiel — so that there will be a place where the “elected from the four winds” will gather.

First, there must be a certain number of disasters that Jesus warned us about so that the whole world could see that Jesus’s words about the signs of His Second Coming, said to the disciples on the Mount of Olives, were fulfilled.

Secondly, they will not lock the door till after the horse is stolen. Something extraordinary is about to happen so that there are enough enthusiasts in Israel to build the Temple.

Substitute the names of your denominations here. Consider that "non-denomination" is also such a denomination. One who is a member of a denomination cannot be a member of the Body of Christ. There is no ark, everyone will be drowned. If Ezekiel's prophecy is not for you, then you yourself are not for God, who gave this prophecy, so that we can fulfill it. Are you expecting this Temple to come down from heaven? No, you're waiting for the flood to start building your ark.

Of course there is one body of Christ and one Spirit. Otherwise, Jesus and Paul would have been either extremely deluded or liars.

What you seem to think is that there must be one religious organization in order for there to be one body. As long as humans are humans there will never be a single religious organization which can supplant the living body of Jesus Christ which is bound together by His Spirit, not by doctrinal uniformity.

Of course not. Jesus warned us about this:

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Bundles are denominations.

And the apostle Paul said:

<...> so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

(2 Thessalonians 2:4)

You know that the apostle Paul called believers "temple":

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
(1 Corinthians 3:16)

"Ye" — this is the plural, these are all believers. "Temple" — the only number, the Temple of the Body of Christ is one. Obviously, today in this “temple” not God sits, but someone else, as the apostle Paul warned.
