Why do you believe her NDE account, or anyone's account? There are Hindus who also have NDEs, meeting their Hindu gods. Are they genuine, or just the work of demons, or mental illness? We often pick and choose which NDEs we like or dislike.

I believe it was an article in Psychology Today that got me interested in the
topic of near death experiences back in 1989. By 1990 I was reading them so
much that I had to go off in a different direction from the Worldwide Church of God
that I had been a member of since 1979.

I simply could NOT go along with the "soul sleep" doctrine that I had been
taught since I had been a teenager after beginning to read these accounts.
NDE's sounded too much like II Corinthians 12;2-4 for me to write them off.....
so I had to admit that my church had been seriously in error on that doctrine.

As I read more and more and more NDE accounts verses all through the Jewish
and Christian scriptures began to make sense that I had been scratching my head
over for years.

One reason why I read NDE accounts so much is that they gave a better answer to
many troubling questions that I had had than I could find in any other source.

Dr. George Ritchie's Near-Death Experience

c. His Experience of the "Receiving Station"

Jesus then takes Ritchie to another realm and is shown a kind of "receiving station" where spirits would arrive in a deep hypnotic sleep because of a particular religious belief they held to be true. Here there were "angels" trying to arouse them and help them realize, "God is truly a God of the living and that they did not have to lie around sleeping until Gabriel or someone came along blowing on a horn." These are the spirits of people who believe they must sleep in their grave until the second coming of Christ (i.e., soul sleep.)

Several near death experiencers even saw the New Jerusalem and gave fascinating
details about it that correspond brilliantly with Revelation chapter 21.

In just the last year I read another NDE account that answers questions that
I have had for decades. My wife can apply for her Israeli citizenship partly based on her
mom's maiden name but of the two of us I am the one who has been
far more interested in all things Jewish for over forty years.

Catholic near death experiencer told she was Jewish...moves to Israel.

No true believer is Christ will support, directly or indirectly, the building of a third temple that mocks at the supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The OT has been fulfilled, and speculations on old prophesies are not our business.

Thank you for expressing your opinion on this controversial topic Righttruth.

It is a common belief among Christians that the offering of sacrifices by the Rabbinic
community would somehow take away from the metaphorical Passover Lamb role played
out by Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus in 30 C. E. but..... as we read what he said about all the
writings of Moses and the Prophets it becomes apparent that Messiah Yeshua - Jesus, in his
glorified immortal body, that he received after being resurrected and ascending to the
Ancient of Days the Father, sure seems to be the very one working out world events so that every word of
Ezekiel 40 - 48 comes to pass.

Matthew 5:17

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."

It was his statements like this to the average Jew of his time period that got
him into trouble with the leadership of the Rabbinic Jewish community of that time period,
that............ was led by a group of Rabbis many of whom HAD BEEN CHOSEN BY KING HEROD
THE GREAT!

Catholic near death experiencer told she was Jewish...moves to Israel.

If I have a DNA test done and discover that I have a Jewish ancestor will it change my relationship with God?
Should I then move to the modern State of Israel and lay claim to a piece of land?

Joh 4:20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship."
Joh 4:21 Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.
Joh 4:22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
Joh 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
Joh 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

My wife is a gifted Pentecostal girl from Quito, Ecuador.

Not long after I contacted her through a Christian internet dating website
she was somehow told by Messiah Yeshua - Jesus to fast and pray for me for 35 days. She
drank only fruit juices for three days / week for four weeks and then seven days in a row
only fruit juices for the fifth week.

I was 3000 miles north of her basking in the most astonishing Shalom / peace of mind
that I had ever had in my life, but especially in the last decade..... because after my dad
died in 1990, I volunteered for something more than a little scary......... and my nerves had
been pretty shot from 1990 - 2000.

Due to my wife's gifts I've been studying the Pentecostal Movement that I didn't know
all that much about even though my grandmother had been Pentecostal.

It seems like G-d works in special ways.... in special places......
for various reasons?!

Why would G-d pour out H-s Holy Spirit / Ruach ha Kodesh in a very humble
building on Azuza Street??????

I don't know the exact answers for this but......
G-d has made promises to do certain things in Jerusalem.... in specific
location in Jerusalem...... so from what I have seen..... those promises will be
kept......... and yes.... moving to Israel could well become an option for many of us
who feel a strong connection to Judaism.

there will not be a third temple -
what God has destroyed -
no man can rebuild -

Actually...... the destruction of the Second Jerusalem Temple or restored Temple of Solomon, that is also known as the Temple of Herod...... was caused by
the fallen state that the Sanhedrin of the time of John the Baptist and
Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus were in!

John 2:15

"And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;"

The human being Buddha... actually existed and still exists because
Messiah Yeshua - Jesus is an ethical judge of all humans and is very much in
the line of Cyrus......

who not only decreed the rebuilding of the Temple of Solomon
who not only gave freedom of religion to Jews.... but also to
the residents of all 127 provinces of the Medo- Persian Empire......

this is at the core of why the being of light treated angry Atheist Howard Storm
with such love....
and why he did not bother to tell his specific name to former Atheist Ms. Beverly Brodsky......

It is time for the Bride of Messiah to rise up..... .and understand this part of the role of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus.......

Not exactly because Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus after forty days of fasting.....
was certainly near death.... .and in what sounds much like an out of the body
experience..... he...... Messiah Yeshua - Jesus...... (in my opinion a man with more of
the Holy Spirit than either Moses / Moshe or King David or Isaiah)......
met SATAN!!!!!

I am in no position to rule out the possibility of parts of Matthew 4 taking place
in the out of the body state!

Matthew Chapter 4 (KJV)

Mat 4:1

"Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

Mat 4:10

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."

So do you believe every NDE you read?

One of the key tests that can show whether or not somebody had a
mere out of the body experience....... or a full fledged near death experience from G-d
and / or The Messiah..... is the LIFE REVIEW!

Hebrews 9:27

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"

There is no direct evidence for other universes or for there being infinite variation within these universes, so this speculations about the implication of speculations. It is possible that there is a multiverse such as you suggest? Sure, but I don't see any value in talking about the implications of it. Within these multiverses, anything and everything will happen tomorrow, so would it be fruitful to speculate on the implications of some of the more bizarre things that will happen tomorrow in one of these multiverses?

Ecclesiastes 1:9 What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.

I think it is certainly a good idea to keep this verse in mind throughout a study of Revelation, so things do happen again and again, but there is no need to bring multiverses into this.

At this time I believe that the possibility of other time lines.....
or Multiverse.... come down to a very simple question...... if you......
had infinite time...... and essentially infinite technological capability......
how far would you go..... to lead one of your children or grandchildren.....
or great grandchildren..... to some level of "salvation" so that they could
handle being in a paradise / heaven state in the afterlife?

Indeed I think the text in Romans 11 also is indicating that God may have a final salvation plan for the Jews, but it will always be and only be through belief in Jesus Christ. There is not some other path.

Helping the Jews rebuild a temple won't help them come to Christ. What will help them is if we honestly and faithfully preach to them the Gospel and call upon them to repent and believe in Jesus Christ as the promised Messiah who has saved them from their sins by dying on the cross and rising from the dead. And more powerful than our arguments and actions is the very word of God, and we should encourage our Jewish friends to read the Gospels for themselves.

But... assisting the Jewish community to rebuild their Jerusalem Third Temple will... .prove that we take the words of Ezekiel chapter 40 - 48 seriously. Which can be a huge step toward Christians and Jews cooperating with each other on many more world problems and issues.

I actually agree with much of your ideas Sultan of Swing.....
but I am wide open to the possibility that a Jewish person praying
for the return of Moshiach / Messiah...... or asking something in the name of
Moshiach / Messiah...... can be answered with every bit as much power as when
a Christian prays.......

A Jewish scholar may know more about what Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus actually taught
on many questions than what a Christian scholar believes..... because we have been taught
many incorrect ideas on what Jews actually believed and why.

Here is a question that will trouble almost any scholar no matter what their background.....

The being of light of NDE fame, G-d or Satan?

Is The Being Of Light, G-D Or Satan?

One of the best arguments that I have ran into as to why
Christians should support the Orthodox Jewish community
in their desire to rebuild their Jerusalem Third Temple is
a statement by Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus:

Luke 24:25

"Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:"

So... all that the prophets have spoken would include Ezekiel chapters 40 - 48 that
clearly describe the restored Jerusalem Third Temple as part of the Era of Messiah / Moshiach.... .the millennial rule of Messiah over all the earth.

Also:
Luke 13:35

"Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."

Was Ezekiel blessed?

Did Ezekiel come in the name of the Lord?

Is Christianity relatively desolate due to our having forgotten the words of the Prophets?

Although I shouldn't be, sometimes I am still shocked by what I come across on CF. This is one of those times.

If Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus believed fully in the prophecies regarding his own need to
be killed..... and resurrected after three days......
then in comparison to that prediction...... that is not so easy to see at first.....
then the Ezekiel 40 - 48 prophecy is pretty clear and understandable.

No. Christians shouldn't support the building of the third temple.

There is no meaning or significance of such a thing, it is neither bad or good, it's just irrelevant.

The Al-Aqsa Mosque sits on the historic Temple Mount, the political upheaval and violence that would result in tearing down the third holiest site in Islam makes it one of the absolute worst ideas in the history of bad ideas. There's simply no reason, in an already tumultuous time and place, to throw napalm on the fire. As Christians we should be peace makers and supporters of peace, and actions which deliberately destroy peace and result in bloodshed--on all sides--should be regarded as unacceptable for us.

Those are two significant reasons why Christians shouldn't support such an endeavor.

I have came to agree with the theory that the Jerusalem Third Temple's
should be above the Gihon Spring.... well away from either the Dome of the Rock
or tha Al Aqsa Mosque.

Ernest L. Martin - Wikipedia

In his 1999 book The Temples that Jerusalem Forgot, Martin argued that the Haram al-Sharif is not the location of the last Temple. This was significant given his relationship with Herbert W. Armstrong whose editorial in The Plain Truth magazine was cited by Denis Michael Rohan as a reason for setting fire to the Al Aqsa mosque during the 1960s.

The basis of this work began with Martin's first visit to Jerusalem in 1961 when he first met Benjamin Mazar and later his son Ory Mazar, who informed him of his belief that the Temples of Solomon and Zerubbabel were located on the Ophel mound to the north of the original Mount Zion on the southeast ridge. In a 1996 draft report to support this theory Martin wrote: "I was then under the impression that Simon the Hasmonean (along with Herod a century later) moved the Temple from the Ophel mound to the Dome of the Rock area." However, after studying the words of Josephus concerning the Temple of Herod the Great, which was reported to be in the same general area of the former Temples, he then read the account of Eleazar who led the final contingent of Jewish resistance to the Romans at Masada which stated that the Roman fortress was the only structure left by 73 C.E. "With this key in mind, I came to the conclusion in 1997 that all the Temples were indeed located on the Ophel mound over the area of the Gihon Spring".[4] From these conclusions Martin produced his book in which he asserted that the Temples of Jerusalem were located over the Gihon Spring and not over the Dome of the Rock. He wrote: "What has been amazing to me is the vast amount of Jewish, Muslim, and Christian records that remain available from the first to the sixteenth centuries that clearly vindicate the conclusions that I have reached in this book of research."

Technically...... your advice is both logical as well as good.....
but for Moses to stretch out his staff toward the Red or Reed Sea....
wasn't the most logical course of action at the time either?!

John 13:35

"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have loveone to another."

Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus had both Rabbinic Jews as well as Messianic Jews in his audience when he
spoke these words........ When Christians and Messianic Jews and Messianic Gentiles support
the Orthodox Jewish community in their desire to fulfill their role and make sure that the words of
Ezekiel and other prophets come to pass.........

Love and mutual respect between Jews and Christians will greatly increase......

and extreme skepticism will begin to be conquered and soon almost erased from the earth!

All men = seven billion inhabitants of the earth.....
you.... his disciples...... both Jews as well as Christians who believe firmly in these words....

Matthew 22:36

"Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

It is my belief that a genuine vision of the future was given to a woman
from Alberta, Canada that explains what G-d wants to do in the Islamic world.

A word for those ministering to Moslems!
Mary A Burris:
"February 6, 2009

While spending time with the Lord He reminded me of Ali's funeral (Ali was my first husband who was murdered in 94/95) and how the Holy Spirit had me praying in tongues and in travail for the muslim people's salvation in Christ Jesus.

He assured me that He heard my prayer that day. Suddenly I became very excited in my spirit and asked the Holy Spirit

"What's going on?"

This is what He said:

You'll see... It'll be explosive when it happens. They will flock towards salvation as the hardness is lifted off of their hearts and the scales are removed from their eyes. They are a passionate people but their purpose has not yet been served. Upon the fulfillment of their role in the history of mankind there will be a flood of souls pouring into the kingdom of God for His glory. They have been scorned, they have been accused, but the ones who are pure in heart shall see God. When He reveals Himself to them in all His glory they will prostrate themselves before Him in a way they have never done before. When He opens the eyes of their understanding and unstops their ears to hear what His Holy Spirit is revealing the waves of tears of repentance will flood the ground they occupy and they will be purged once and for all time of the stains of their unbelief. The Lord is calling out for a pure and holy nation before God and He will do as He chooses and choose as He pleases and mankind will truly stand in awe of His mighty Majesty and Splendor as the precious souls are ushered into His kingdom.

GIVE HIM PRAISE AND GLORY!" (Mary A Burris)

The first thing we should share with modern Jews is the promise of a New Covenant found in Jeremiah chapter 31, which was to replace the Sinai covenant they had broken. Then we have the timeline in Daniel chapter 9 which reveals that the New Covenant Messiah would come before the second temple was destroyed.

There is a clear link between the seed of the woman in Genesis 3:15 and the messenger of the covenant in Malachi chapter 3.

Christ clearly fulfilled this New Covenant in His Blood, as found in Hebrews 8:6-13, Hebrews 12:18-24, and is "everlasting" in Hebrews 13:20.

The most important genealogy in the Bible is found in Matthew chapter 1. Shortly after, John the Baptist tells the Jews not to put their faith in being the seed of Abraham.

Mat 3:9 and do not think to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.

Race is not a factor in the New Covenant.

Yes.... the promise of a new covenant....
and the promise of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on ALL FLESH....
are topics that Jews and Christians have much to talk to each other about.

A man from Uganda wrote an article more than five years ago that is
extremely relevant at this time. I quote his article in full here in post #1....

Do you believe a massive Holy Spirit tsunami is coming?

Jesus is the new Temple, and further Christians are also then the Temple of God, and subsequently after tearing that temple curtain we no longer need to go to a Temple to worship and have a relationship with God but now He lives in all of our hearts through the Holy Spirit.

So the Jews said to him, “What sign do you show us for doing these things?” Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking about the temple of his body. When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken. (John 2:18-22)

“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” Ephesians 2:19-22

“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:17

“And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them.I will be their God,And they shall be My people.” 2 Corinthians 6:16

You have gotten into something rather important here......
King Herod the Great made additions to the Second Temple that
caused it to no longer fit with the description given in Ezekiel chapters 40 - 48.....

Did his renovations cause the Second Temple to be defiled?

The Jewish leaders speaking to Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus were obviously
in agreement with the Rabbinic leaders who felt that it was kosher for
King Herod the Great to make additions to the Second TEmple...... but
were they correct?
