  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Should Christians support Jews in rebuilding of Third Temple?

Should Christians support Jewish control of Temple Mount and rebuilding of Temple?

  • Yes, I believe that every word in Ezekiel chapter 40 to 48 must be fulfilled.

  • No, doing this might speed up the time of the coming of the anti-Messiah!

  • Yes, King Cyrus was led by the God of Abraham and he supported this cause.

  • No, I believe that we should all be vegetarians and never kill animals.

  • Yes, our nation will be blessed if we bless the Jewish people.

  • No, this could lead to a war and human life is of more value than any temple!

I read a lot of Apocryphal writings. Most of them only once but here is one that I have gone back to again due to how impressive it is. The description of the Three Jerusalem Temples in this writings sure does fit with how I understand prophecy of the era of Moshiach/Messiah!

The Books of Adam and Eve

The Lord will appear in a flame of fire (and) from the mouth of His majesty He will give commandments and statutes [from His mouth will proceed a two-edged sword] and they will sanctify Him in the house of the habitation of His majesty.

5 And He will show them the marvellous place of His majesty. And then they will build a house to the Lord their God in the land which He shall prepare for them and there they will transgress His statutes and their sanctuary will be burnt up and their land will be deserted and they

6 themselves will be dispersed; because they have kindled the wrath of God. And once more He will cause them to come back from their dispersion; and again they will build the house of God;

7 and in the last time the house of God will be exalted greater than of old. And once more iniquity will exceed righteousness. And thereafter God will dwell with men on earth [in visible form]; and then, righteousness will begin to shine. And the house of God will be honoured in the age and their enemies will no more be able to hurt the men, who are believing in God; and God will stir up for Himself a faithful people, whom He shall save for eternity, and the impious shall be punished

8 by God their king, the men who refused to love His law. Heaven and earth, nights and days, and all creatures shall obey Him, and not overstep His commandment. Men shall not change their

9 works, but they shall be changed from forsaking the law of the Lord. Therefore the Lord shall repel from Himself the wicked, and the just shall shine like the sun, in the sight of God. And

10 in that time, shall men be purified by water from their sins. But those who are unwilling to be purified by water shall be condemned. And happy shall the man be, who hath ruled his soul, when the Judgement shall come to pass and the greatness of God be seen among men and their deeds be inquired into by God the just judge.

Personally, I can't think of many better theories on how to protect Christians living under Islamic governments than to actively support the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Third Temple so that if the prophecy from the pastor in Uganda is correct then the Holy Spirit will be poured out and our brethren who are being persecuted will receive lots and lots of extra of the Holy Spirit so that the enemies of Rabbi Jesus/Yehoshua begin to recognize Him as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah?!?!

You can see his message in the first post on page 3 of this discussion thread.

Muslim Persecution of Christians: May 2012 :: Gatestone Institute

Egypt: A court verdict that was criticized by many human rights groups as "unbelievable" and "extremely harsh" towards Christians was decided according to religion: all twelve Christians were convicted to life imprisonment, while all eight Muslims—including some who torched nearly 60 Christian homes—were acquitted, all to thunderous cries of "Allahu Akbar!" ["Allah is the Greatest!"] in the courtroom. Another Muslim judge in Upper Egypt dismissed all charges against a group of Muslims who terrorized a Christian man and his family for over a year, culminating with their cutting off his ear in a knife attack while trying to force him to convert to Islam after they "falsely accused him" of having an affair with a Muslim woman. And a new report describes the plight of Coptic girls: "hundreds of Christian girls … have been abducted, forced to convert to Islam, and forced into marriage in Egypt. These incidents are often accompanied by acts of violence, including rape, beatings, and other forms of physical and mental abuse."

Eritrea: Activists taking part in a protest outside the Eritrean embassy in London revealed that "Some 2,000 to 3,000 Christians are currently detained in Eritrea without charge or trial… Several Christians are known to have died in notorious prison camps," and "thousands of Eritreans flee their country every year," some falling "into the hands of abusive traffickers, and are held hostage in torture camps in the Sinai Desert pending payment of exorbitant ransoms, or the forcible removal of organs."

Ethiopia: A Christian man accused of "desecrating the Koran" spent two years in prison, where he was abused, pressured to convert to Islam, and left paralyzed. Now returning home, he has found that his two young children have been abducted by local Muslims: "My life is ruined—I have lost my house, my children, my health. I am now homeless, and I am limping."

Yes, and as the story goes, the Ark is now a relic of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and kept at a monastery at Axum.

Dr. Grant Jeffrey sure did an amazing job of writing about this theory on where the Ark is in his 1988 version of his book "Armageddon Appointment with Destiny."

Shabath Shaluem Alechem:

Isaiah 45 does not allude to any Cyrus II doing anything for Israel again; this chapter only refers to what the original Cyrus did for Israel thousands of years ago. The sons of Yishrael will return to the land Tzion but not by the hand of any so-called Cyrus II. Also, the prophet Daniel did not allude to another Cyrus II doing anything for Israel. The verse you quoted only refers again to the original Cyrus. And the verse Luke 24:25 does not infer any Cyrus II doing anything for Israel in the future either; in fact this verse did not refer any rebuilding of a third temple.
Regarding a bulge in a wall, I don’t quite see how that fits in Yeshuo’s (aka Jesus) prophesy of “shall not leave in thee one stone upon another”. That prophesy was fulfilled when the City of Yerushalim was destroyed around 70 C.E (ca. 4,070 A.E.)

I see that your attempt to tie all of these verses into the theory of a future Cyrus is somewhat lacking. I, however, believe that the Messiah himself will usher in the millennium and the third temple himself upon his return as prophesied.

Shabath Shaluem

interesting theory OneThatGotAway!!!

I have to admit that your idea that the Messiah fulfills these verses after he comes to set up his kingdom is logical....but many verses in the Bible seem to show that the Jerusalem Third Temple is already in operation PREVIOUS to the coming of the Messiah?!?!

Isaiah 66:5 ¶
Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.

This was partly fulfilled when money changers were cast out of the Second Temple but the context of Isaiah 66 sure seems to imply the latter days?!?!

Isaiah 66:10 ¶ Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:......
Isa 66:12 ¶
For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon [her] sides, and be dandled upon [her] knees.

It's a tough one.

Part of me feels that the Jews should have a Temple on their holiest site. After all, there existed two temples for hundreds of years that was the centre of the Jewish world. The Dome of the Rock was deliberately built on the Temple Mount, as Muslims see the site as sacred too. Yet Muslims have Mecca and Medina, which are more holy to them than Jerusalem.

Another part of me feels that the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa are both incredible beautiful works of art (although, in terms of religious architecture, nothing compares to the beauty of the 2nd Temple imo). Muslims have been praying at the site for a thousand years. Moreover, the Temple Mount was disused for hundreds of years before the Muslims built Al Aqsa on top of it. It was destroyed by the Romans; it wasn't as if the Muslims came and deliberately demolished the Temple to build their mosque.

I guess the best we can do is sharing the site, so that Jews and Muslims have equal access to the Temple Mount. Yet I know that the two sides hate each other too much to ever make that a practical solution.

Sometimes an analogy can be quite helpful?!

In a sense Islam is built on top of both Judaism AND Christianity?!

Therefore there is a certain appropriateness in the idea expressed by at least one major scholar on this subject that the positioning of the actual Holy of Holies is a significant distance from the Dome of the Rock allowing therefore for lots of room for both the Dome of the Rock as well as the Jewish Temple to be on the Temple Mount together?!?!

Then again analogies can be taken too far and I sure am no expert on this subject?!?!

Yisrayl Hawkins : The Peaceful Solution - Build The Third Temple
The Third Temple belongs right beside the Dome of the Rock Mosque.

In his many years of study, Yisrayl Hawkins discovered that in the ancient texts of the Book of Yechetzqyah there was written the complete dimensions of a Temple - a Temple that has NEVER been built! These ancient writings show a peaceful solution for building the third Temple. It is important to realize that we, the people of this generation, can bring peace to Jerusalem and the world. The words found in this ancient Hebraic text outline specific measurements for a Temple. These measurements have NEVER been used before in the manner in which Yechetzqyah gave them. The first Temple was built under Solomon; the second Temple was rebuilt under Zerubbabel, which was later refurbished by Herod. These measurements were NOT used by Ezra, Nehemiah, or Zerubbabel when they returned to rebuild the Temple after the Babylonian Captivity, nor were they used by Herod when he refurbished the Temple. These measurements were given to us, to be used to build the Temple NOW!
The building of the Temple is a peaceful solution to the problems now existing between the Jews and the Arabs.

.....

In the 1980s and 1990s, Mr. Hawkins traveled to Israel with three design engineers to study the design and dimensions of the Temple Mount along with the designs and measurements that the Prophet Yechetzqyah gave in his writings. He discovered that it was a PERFECT FIT!! Even more amazing was the fact that Yechetzqyah also mentioned another "building" that was sitting atop the Temple Mount.
Yes, not only did he see a future Temple, but he also saw another building BESIDE the Temple. The building that he saw was none other than the Dome of the Rock Mosque, which is sitting on the Temple Mount at this time.
This Mosque is to remain in its same location, with a dividing wall separating it from the rebuilt Temple - a peaceful solution. There is a viable plan whereby both faiths, Muslim and Jewish, can worship side by side in privacy. Notice, there is a PRIVACY wall to separate the Temple from the Mosque, written in the ancient hebraic text of Yechetzqyah:
Section 40:5 - "And behold, there was an adjoining separation: dividing structure, around a Temple..."

Here is a very good article on this subject:

Edition 5
Goliath the 666 enemy:

Oh, and by the way that story is very interesting. Goliath was six cubits tall, had six pieces of armour and had a sword weighing six hundred shekels. In terms of type and shadow, Goliath who represents the satanic enemies of Israel was therefore attached to 666, while tiny (in comparison) David, who represents Israel won the victory, with God's help. The modern David and Goliath battle has not ended, but I know won and who wins in the end!

I personally feel that Mr. Tzvi Fisherman's statement is correct that we Christians went far more so into pagan traditions and beliefs than we can hardly imagine until we research the topic further!

Something to think about --> "By abandoning the mitzvot (Torah instructions), Christianity enshrouded the world in a seemingly legitimate offshoot of idol worship. While imitating many of Judaism’s values and beliefs, Christianity actually led the world away from the true service of God." ~Tzvi Fisherman.

It wouldn't work. Not only does nobody today know where the Holy of Holies once stood (it's thought to be the rock under the Dome of the Rock, but no one knows for sure), but Muslims would never allow a Jewish Temple on what they see as an exclusively Islamic holy site. I just can't see it happening any time soon, at least not without a great deal of violence.

Supreme, your comments are certainly logical but we are living in the time period when ALL FLESH is about to be humbled!

Isaiah 2:17
And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

I caught the last fifteen minutes of a truly amazing Sid Roth show yesterday evening.

Shane Warren talks about having a visionary dream in which he was shown a serious devaluation of the US dollar through a plan by several powerful foreign leaders. Then he saw a massive earthquake in the USA that apparently was linked to an American backed Middle East peace plan that divided Israel and/or Jerusalem. After this he was shown a revival within Christianity that was perhaps the most powerful in two millennia. Churches became the only place where people could go to receive real help for their problems and trials.

We are seeing Bible prophecy fulfilled everyday on TV newscasts and in our newspapers! Wars & rumors of wars. The shaking of the global economy. The threat of Muslim extremism. Find the outpouring of God's blessing in your life as America comes under judgment. Don't be SURPRISED this comes before the Rapture. Learn how to thrive even in trying times!

During a time period when the God of Abraham is showing all nations that He is to be feared.....the Islamic scholars who actually believe the positive teachings of the Qu'ran toward the Jewish and Christian peoples will be given a much greater level of respect in Islamic nations.

Soon, according to Zechariah 14, Egyptians representatives will be free to attend the Festival of Tabernacles in Jerusalem without being murdered as soon as they return to Egypt!

Prophecy for America, money devalued, earthquake then revival for church?!

I very much doubt it'd be a British politician. Our politicians have enough on their plates already, with the economy at the forefront- rebuilding the Jewish temple is certainly not on anyone's agenda, and would be completely irrelevant to the lives of the vast majority of Britons.

I read "Winston Churchill and the Jews" by Gilbert a few years ago. It was rather amazing how little support for the creation of the Jewish state existed in Britain before and during WWII?!?!

I just read another modern prophecy that may explain how perhaps the writing by the man from Uganda is extremely important for us Chistians to consider at this time!

The Great Tsunami by Rick Joyner | MorningStar Prophetic Bulletins 2011
The biggest problem virtually every church will be facing is how to handle explosive growth. In the vision, I saw small churches of less than a hundred people adding a thousand new members a week at times. Of course, this happened on the Day of Pentecost, and then there were other days in which thousands came to Christ in a day. Even with a dozen apostles personally trained by the Lord, there was stress caused by this. Pressure points gave birth to new ministries such as the deacon. The infrastructure of church life that this produced is still the model that works, and we need to return to its effective simplicity to handle what is coming.

I saw churches that grew so large that they started renting football and soccer stadiums in which to hold their services. At times, hundreds of thousands would gather in parks and huge outdoor meetings just to hear Bible teachers to pray and to worship. Not only were whole cities coming to Christ, but also entire nations were coming so that the state itself became like a large church.

The nation of Uganda has came to God in a huge way. So has Korea. The City of Cali, Colombia has went through an astonishing transformation....but even more than this is predicted to happen soon!!!!!

On the other hand there is a lot of logic in this writing by a man from Uganda that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit/Ruach ha Kodesh depends on Christians coming to a new level of unity with our Jewish brethren:

Eporu Ronald Alfred

Kakira Deliverance Church,
P.O. Box 3191, Kakira, Jinja, Uganda

......

Dear brethren,
I salute you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

RE: SHARING NEW DISCOVERIES OF THE TRUTH IN BIBLE PROPHECY CONCERNING THE IMMINENT HEALING AND UNITY OF THE CHURCH

I am mesmerized by the truth in bible prophecy that the Spirit of God has been revealing over the recent years. Secret things belong to God and those that are revealed belong to us and our children... (Deut 29: 29).

1. King Cyrus the great ruled his country 555 years Before Christ i.e. from 576 BC to 530 BC and authorised the rebuilding of the second temple in Jerusalem. Cyrus of the Old Testament is hence associated with the number 555 and is the shadow figure of incoming Cyrus II of the New Testament. You may learn more about his history from the internet and scriptures. This new truth enables us to identify the leadership of the world that will rebuild the temple in Jerusalem as prophesied in book of Isaiah before the rise of antichrist. Cyrus II is coming to revive the evangelical/Pentecostal church in Jerusalem and restore the headquarters of the church in same city where the church was born. He is set to strip Babylon of the vessels of the temple and the name of the Lord God and transfer that crown back to Jerusalem thus leaving Babylon naked. Cyrus will rebuild the temple in Jerusalem in fulfilment of the prophecy of Jesus as written in the book of John 2:18-23 and the prophecy of Isaiah as written in chapters 40, 41, 45 and 47 of the book of Isaiah. Jesus regarded the temple as the symbol of his own body while saying that he had the power to lay it down on the first day (1st millennium) and rebuild or raise it up on the 3rd day (3rd millennium). Remember that one day in the eyes of God is the same as one thousand years (millennium) as stated in book of 2 Peter 3:8. Rebuilding of the temple is thus associated with unification of the church.

Cyrus II will rebuild the temple in honour of our lord Jesus Christ. The temple will be the unifying (rallying) point of the world wide evangelical church as the original headquarters of the church. Psalms133 denotes that there is such a powerful anointing that comes along with unity among brethren. Unification of the whole body of Jesus Christ will make the church so powerful that she will overrun the world within a short time before the return of our lord Jesus Christ. A divided church is a powerless church whereas a united church is a powerful church. The church can only be able to fulfil her ultimate mission of revealing Jesus to the world once we get united as one body of Jesus Christ following his last prayer for his disciples as written in John 17:20-23.

Cyrus II will erase that false image of Jesus that the counterfeit and Idolatrous state church of Babylon has been projecting around the world and revive the original church that projects the true brilliant image of Jesus Christ. Haggai 2:9 says that the glory of the latter church (temple) will be greater than the glory of the former church (temple). The rise of Cyrus will also usher in the ultimate fulfilment of the prophecy of Joel 2:28 where God intends to pour out His Spirit on all flesh in these last days. The era of Cyrus brings the gentile period of grace to its close and leads to the restoration of the Jewish period of grace and salvation.

Does that include all Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus and even heathen Atheists?

The commandment by Rabbi Jesus/Yehoshua for Christians to love each other as he loves us......has enormous implications.

Does Rabbi Jesus/Yehoshua still love us even when we fall into some false doctrines or ideas?

Yes, He does.....he still loves it when we pray and ask for guidance even if eighty percent of what we did and thought that day were not in line with His full will for our lives!

John 13:34
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

If Rabbi Jesus/Yehoshua was with again right now.....would he regard Christians from another denomination with the disdain or contempt that we sometimes do?

Would Rabbi Jesus/Yehoshua have emotions as little, as small, as seldom as we do for the lost of this world?

Would Rabbi Jesus/Yehoshua think and pray about his own goals, his own "kingdom" as much as 90% if not 99% of our pastors and priests do????

Cat-Woman is onto something big when she states that Christians are supposed to support everybody.....especially to the degree that they are onto something of value that lines up with truth!!!!

Are the Orthodox Jews correct to pray and desire to be able to build and use their Jerusalem Third Temple?

The words of the prophets sure seem to indicate that they are!!!!!

Over the past 1970 years that has been progressive revelations of deeper and deeper aspects of truth to groups......often the Christians out of whom this new denomination emerged was unable to handle the new truth or regarded it with suspicion.....isn't that exactly what happened as the First Century Messianic Jewish and Messianic Gentile community emerged out of Judaism??????

I think we in America should strongly support Israel.

But I don't think as Christians we have any business promoting a third temple. The Temple sacrifices are a bold statement that the Messiah has not come according to Hebrews 10:4-11.

I believe that God has overruled in Israel to make that point clear for the last 2000 years.

in Christ,

Bob

Wow!

I thank you for expressing your opinion on this important topic Bob!

The Orthodox Jews have a tradition that when they rebuild their Jerusalem Temple, it will last for one thousand years or more! They also have a tradition that Gentiles will push them to rebuild their Temple?!

I have the impression that we Gentiles will actively desire for Jews to rebuild their Temple when the climate is so astonishingly unstable that we are desperate to do anything that will bring the G-d of Abraham closer to us and closer to our earth!

Hosea 5:15
I will go [and] return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.

The Church IS the new temple. We should never support the idea that sacrifices need to begin once more as Jesus was the last sacrifice.

I do agree with you that the people of God are the metaphorical temple, but there are astonishingly important things about the relationship that Rabbi Jesus/Yehoshua expects from His Temple that we will learn as we observe the specific rituals that the Levites will perform in the literal temple!

Hebrews 8:5
Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, [that] thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

1Corinthians 10:11
Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

The church (ie; the body of Christ) is not a "metaphorical" temple, but is literally the temple.

That seems like a good point?! By this you mean that the church is the real and true temple and the Ezekiel Temple in Jerusalem when it is finally built is actually something of a pale imitation of the church?!?!

If that is what you mean....I would have to agree!
