God should not be part of either party’s platform. To recognize that their are believers in both is not the same as make God part of the stated political platform. And yes, there are plenty of Democrats who identify as religious.

Maybe he got confused. I want though training for Vietnam. They were teaching us that it is ok if you put three arms or three legs in a body bag because no one actually cares. Everyone that went through training back them was trained for Vietnam by Drill Sargents that had been there. But he never got shipped out even though he received the training.

I have asked this before and no one answered. Which around here isn't surprising. But do you believe when this woman teaches her classes at university that is the voice and mannerism she uses and displays? That she quivers from place to place ending every sentence and every third or fourth word with a questioning inflection?

In addition, if someone went on national television and accused you of attempted rape and orchestrating a series of gang rapes, how would you react?

I think she probably was sexually assaulted but not by Kavanaugh. Four witnesses said Kavanaugh was not present at the parties. When both the accuser and defendant provide compelling testimony, I think the witnesses swing the balance, or should (without any other evidence). The woman asking questions to Ford though, did a very poor job asking questions. Kavanaugh literally had to defend himself, and what a defense it was.

Actually there is no evidence of a crime. The guy is a judge and he knows exactly what to say. You can tie him up, torture him and integrate him all you want. He is still going to say all the right things to keep from implicating himself. I think it is a shame that the whole process does not lend itself to the truth. Maybe that is why he has to drink.

He said he would take a lie detector test. That would be quick, even before Tue vote they could have the results. The democrats should have jumped all over that. But they are not very smart. Because if he was lying as they suggest then that would come out on the test.

Let's just hope allegations do not continue for eternity, or until democrats regain control, oh wait...that is what they are banking on, and it would not matter who the candidate for the SC justice seat is...same strategy. I hope investigation will be done to uncover the responsible persons behind the motivations to bring allegations at this particular time in history. I hope the money trail will be followed, at least that's what this country boy suspects, even if it were true, what would it take to bring someone out in the public 30+ years later?

I heard Ford took a lie detector test...the same day she went to her grandmother's funeral...not a good day for a test, would throw off the results. Interesting comment she made about "gofundme" and where the funds for the tests came from.

If democrats regained control of the Senate, that would be our constitutional democracy in action. If republicans retain control, the same. Neither should affect a careful process in such a crucial thing as an SC appointment. If K becomes un confirmable (not something I'm going to even guess on), there are plenty of excellent conservative judges don't you think, still in the wings? Why rush -- rushing is precisely what is unfair to both K and Ford. I'd also like to see as much investigating as is reasonably possible in the time frame of a few weeks.

Rushing seems like the worst possible mistake to make.

Unfortunately Republicans are afraid that Democrats are doing exactly the same thing they did concerning Merrick Garland. How hypocritical of them.

Woah!!! She just testified she had to walk past Kavanaugh, Judge, and others, to exit the house. So, let me get this straight.

Horrified, she flees from Kavanaugh into a bathroom upstairs, while Kavanaugh was preoccupied with Judge in a wrestling match on the floor. But, then she chooses to exit the home, an exit requiring her to walk past Kavanaugh and others to exit the home.

This is perfectly understandable behavior for a naive inexperienced 15 year old girl.

I realy wish they would just let the prosecutor examine them both, as a professional, as is her job to question and disseminate , before they do all their dog and pony show crap. A good prosecutor will make a innocent person shine, or nit pick the heck out of a liar. The senate is just there to score points.

Her testimony shows she could be fudging the truth a bit to make it look like she did not willingly climb into bed with him. But she could have willingly gotten into bed with him, 15 year old girls do stupid things all the time. I know because I use to stand out in front of abortion clinics with a sign protesting abortion. It was amazing how many very young girls were going in to get "advice" on a difficult situation they got themselves into. I really did not hear any of them claim they had been raped. They were all pretty much ashamed at what they had done and what the got themselves into.

It's not that different. Republicans also stooped to a new low by simply refusing to do their job. Kavanaugh's life is not destroyed as for what his family has gone through he is the one who chose to enter political life and unfortunately subject his family to such horrendous behavior. This is not meant to justify death threats, they are always, from either side of the aisle deplorable and should be investigated and prosecuted.
