Great post, Doctor! Welcome to the Seven Seals! You just gopt one thing wrong, the priest your speaking of isn't at Waterfall City, he's at the Hyrule Valley, where he lives. The seals are being reforged at Waterall City. The Hyrule Valley is really far from Waterfall City.

There's a priest in Waterfall city also. I mentioned him in one of my posts.

~~~~~
Freezia would not leave the pinnacle of Olae-phas. Instead, she slept fitfully, her head cushioned by one of Rahlzi's wings. Wind and water stung her face, and tears mingled with mist until silver trails traced her face. While the seals were being placed into the fire, she had thought her trials over, that she could just vanish into the East and leave it all behind. Even now her eyes sought out the subdued grey of the mountains beyond the waterfall, but instead fell on the amassed armies of Erulan. Flickering flames danced in a darkness no light could pierce, and it was brought fiercely home to her that her duties were not finished. Even when the seals had been reforged, the seal-bearers must find somewhere safe to put it. She shut her eyes and feld a deep field of black enmesh her, dragging her down. She found herself under the dark scrutiny of the Dark Lord himself, who always found ways to try to sway or poison the thoughts of his enemies.
"YOU ARE USELESS, LIGHT BEAROR. ALL WILL SUCCUMB TO MY DEATH IN THE END. YOU HAVE NOTHING. THERE IS NOTHING." The dark voice resonated in her head, strangling her resolve. Even as she felt her heart being crushed, Freezia's soul awoke and thrust her out of the dark sleep.
Even as the grey sky brightened overhead and a single star pierced the clouds, she smiled heavenward and whispered hoarsely, 'There is still hope.'
Dawn Came the armies of Hell began to stir the tolls and giants slowly lowered the large Iron bridges over twords the island. As the giants and trolls worked the Orcs, Goblins, and men feasted so that they could have enough energy to fight. When the bridges landed horns blew giving orders for the army to form ranks and march. The Seige had begun.
i've pm Doctor asking whether he'd want to take control of the priest and make the decision regarding the forging of the seals, so please leave that part from your post until i get a response, thanks.
meanwhile, let's keep the battle going.
----
As the enemies began their seige, the armies coming to assist Waterfall City in its defense were fast approaching from behind, making this a two way battle for the orcs and goblins. It was really a touch and go for both sides, depending which one would give first. In theory, Waterfall City was weaker, so if their wall was breached, the enemies would be able to use the City itself as a stronghold.
And they will get the seals. Lorgain let fly the arrow, his joining the thousands from around him which were raining upon those crossing the iron bridges. Most of the arrows however, only hit the shields that the goblins were holding over their heads. Grimacing, Lorgain continued to load arrow after arrow onto his bow, his hand blurring in rapid succession while the dark mass below moved closer by each passing second.
Vialla was by all accounts, experienced in the art of fighting. The seige bridges were old news to her, and the her spies had alerted her to their presence soon after her arrival at Waterfall city. She winked at Lorgain, raising a blood-red banner high into the air, visible to both the defenders on the wall and the armies massed below. Pale water glinted between ominous blotches. She nodded to the twoscore Arwillene archers she'd brought up behind her, then she nodded to another score, that were carrying great vats and containers of something liquid up to the battlements. Vialla dipped the banner into one, then held it up, dripping. "Vegitable oil, animal fat. Perfect." She raised the banner, now dripping oil. They were directly above one of the seige towers, swarming with goblins as it swayed dangerously from side to side, then tipped towards the walls. So far, these attacks had been repulsed.
Vialla raised the standard, then dipped it once. One score of elven arrows pierced the night. She dipped it again, and the oil-carriers flung their burdens onto the wooden structure. Finally, she dipped it a third time, and someone lifted a blazing brand and touched it to the soaked banner, which Vialla then flung at the siege tower. The night was lit up with shrieks of dismay from the goblins, which tried to leap from the flaming tower. Some made it to the ground, only to be slain by arrows. More died when they were broken on the sharp rocks, and still more when they managed to reach the battlements in a leap, only to be hewed down by the Hahaelli. She turned to Clise, who had walked over, and grinned. "One less tower!" she called, then signalled to her oil-carriers to find more. Before the night was over, a great deal of the enemy would be dead.
In the distance, there was the sound of twisting metal and a great blue flash lit up the night. Freezia grinned this time, from her perch. Her dark elves were doing a good job. Mingled cries of anger and screams of the wounded from the enemy filtered to her up in the fog. One of the great iron bridges had been exploded. And if she guessed correct, they would all be gone by another dawn. The dark elves were not only impossible to tell apart from those in Erulan's service, they could be invisible if they wished.
All Dragons take off. The hundreds of dragons under Erulan's service rose into the sky and began to circle the city like massive vultures the orcs and men began to fire their flaming arrows into the defending army while the dragons themselves flew through the city and began to use their massive strength and fire to burn the city. Erulan wasn’t fooled by the pathetic defenders if they were him he would be sending word to other cities for help. So Erulan had sent seven dragons to seek out the terrain so when they returned he wasn't suprised to learn that an enemy army was marching for the city. So Erulan split his host in ten thousand orcs and men followed by ninety dragons to attack the oncoming enemy. Meanwhile Erulan turned his mind back to the battle at hand. Commanders prepare the catapults fire the gunpowder at the city walls. Destroy the northern sector of the city if you must but get our troops into that city.
last post before camp! woohoo! See you in five days! Also, don't destroy the Northern sector of the city. That's where Olae-phas is, and you're not taking it until the end. Drag the fight out really long so that it's still going when I come back. Grimr, that means more description, I think. Describe the dragons . . . something that fills up time. :D
~~~~~

Freezia's own calvalry of fifty dragons took off, and a whole host of eagles flew down from the Northern Mountains to attack from above. Fire met fire and goblins fell from the backs of their mounts as they turned to face these new attacks, only to be felled by arrows from above.

With the dragon threat being met, scores of civilians prepared to redirect the waterfalls in case of any fires.

Vialla pounded her fist in frustration, eyes blazing vehemently at Erulan. "Those catapults are out of reach of our fire," she muttered. "Prepare the elvish shield!" Instantly, the wall looked like the flat faces of crystal, and when the first load of rocks hit the wall, the wall strained, but held. The rocks slid to the bottom of the slope, finally sliding off the steep banks into the waterfall like a pile of sludge. The enemy had no ships to attack the dyke, so that the men there fired upon those higher on the slopes, picking off as many as they could. The open space in front of the city gates, between the walls and the water behind the dyke, was kept free in this manner.

Heartsblood ran swiftly through the rough terrain. It had been two days since Oden had left the Hyrule Valley and he was already feeling home sick. Oden stopped Heartsblood at a bridge and scanned the horizan. Clouds of smoke rose from the East and filled the sky like a blanket. Oden was just about to continue when suddenly a squad of trolls stepped in front of Heartsblood. Heartsblood reared up in panick!

After Oden settled his horse down, he backed Heartsblood back and drew his sword. The sword gleamed and shinned a bright white color. The trolls shielded their eyes from the disturbing light as they drew their maces and axes.

"We will diminish your punny little light, for it is no match against the darkness evil has spread throughout the land!" yelled the lead troll as they charged Oden.

Oden jumped off Heartsdblood and the most remarkable thing happened. Oden seemed to stay in the air, hovering in a sort of way. Suddenly, a pair of white feathered wings grew out of his back as if he had had them all along. The whitish blue glow that illuminated Oden seemed to grow. Oden's eyes glowed a sky blue. The wind blew feriously through the trolls who stood starring up at the angel like creature. Oden looked down at the trolls.

"You dare challenge me!" said Oden. His voiced boomed like thunder through the trolls ear canals!

"Let's get him. There's only one of him and many of us!" said the lead troll. The others nodded and the trolls charged Oden again!

Oden withdrew one of his knives and stood in a defencive stance. The first troll swung its mighty ax towards Oden's head. Oden ducked and sliced the troll in half along with the second trolls legs. Oden flew up into the air dodging a mace. The trolls fired arrows and threw spears up towards Oden. Oden blocked the arrows and spears and lifted his weapons towards the sky. The dark clouds began to fluctuate as white clouds replaced them! The white clouds rumbled and thundered! The trolls looked at eachother in fear, not knowing what was happening. All of a sudden, a pillar of fire and lightning shot from the heavens and struck the center of the squad of trolls! The other trolls who weren't hit were taken off their feet by the aftershock. Oden dived down back towards the trolls and began slicing heads off as he flew by. When Oden came to the last troll, he flew down and stood in front of him. The troll shook in fear as he glanced at his fallen comrads. Oden's eyes glowed even brighter as the troll got ready to fight. The wind sturred making a minioture[sp] tornado. The tornado lifted Oden into the air, whirling and twirling him around! The troll looked in confusion not knowing what Oden's next move was. All of a sudden, The tornado holding Oden began blowing his way! The troll dropped his weapons and began running, but he was too slow. The tornado picked the slow running troll up. Inside the tornado, Oden sliced and diced at the troll who had totaly no control over his motion. After Oden was sure the troll was dead, Oden flung the dead body towards a nearby mountains.

Later that day, Oden caught up with his horse who had gone ahead on the trail. Oden saddled up on Heartsblood and continued towards Waterfall City.

The priest stepped out of the cave and saw a blaze of fire from teh city walls and heard the cries from the battle.
"how goes the battle?" he asked the grizzled guard and his companion stood watching the spectacle.
"someone just got very inventive with burning oils" the guard grinned wryly.

The priest remembered his strange meeting and stepped back intot he forge. Picking up a the tongs he grasped a burning coal and burned a section of his fore arm gasping back a shriek that startled the guards.

When the pain had subsided he studdied his arm noting the forming scar.

he returned to the entrance and spoke to the guard.

"You will remain here, no matter what. you will not allow any to enter nor will you give anyone the seals. They cannot be taken but agents of evil may come and trick you into giving them freely. Do not give the seals to anyone no matter who they are. Even if it is I who requests them. you must believe all who come here are agents of evil. "

"so how do I know who is to be trusted?"
The priest grinned and showed his scarred forearm. "When I return I will show you this scar." If I do not you are to kill me instantly. No one must touch the seals unless you see this scar. Do you understand?"

the guard frowned, puzzled but orders were orders he shrugged.

Good. the priest stumbled off into the night to meditate on what he had learned, a night lit by bright flashes and the screams of the dying.

DARRIONS, your character (the one without the seal) and Clover are with Freezia's army. You guys are outside Waterfall City, and Erulan has commanded his another army to intercept yours, so you should be in a fight now, trying to finish off Erulan's army so you can reinforce Waterfall City.
----

"Where're you going?" Taren called as Clise and Aridol hurried by him. He was sitting in a dimly lit room where all those who weren't injured but were too tired to fight rested, taking water and food and generally resting to regain some of their strength.
"We're going to meet the army that's outside Waterfall City," Clise said while Aridol tore a piece from the bread that laid beside Taren. "Yeah, i need to go meet my "army", even though i don't have that many men left," Aridol said, his voice a little bit forlorn at the news that Freezia brought to him.
"Take care," Taren cautioned, watching with regret as Clise and Aridol vanished behind the doorway. Not five minutes had past when another familiar face made its way to him. His chest heaving, Lorgain dropped heavily down beside Taren and without saying a word, took up the bread and bite a large chunk out of it.
"Hey, easy man," Taren said, suddenly realising he was going to lose his meal.
----

"Ready? Right, let's go," Clise said after making sure that Aridol was securely seated behind her. With a mighty roar, Kyne lifted its body up, spread its wing, took a few steps and took off in the air. Clise directed Kyne so that they now flew at the outskirt of the battle in order to avoid dangerous missiles below. Aridol watched with amazement at the scene spread out below them. The idea of pouring fire down onto the enemies was working marvelously untill Erulan decided to pound the walls with rocks. He didn't think the walls would be able to hold up if this continued indefinitely, but that, was not his main concern for now. He had to get the army coming, Waterfall City would definitely fall without reinforcement from the outside.

Kyne was performing well, she was flying at top speed today after having a good long rest. It didn't take long for them to reach their destination.

Clise frowned and her right hand balled into a fist in frustration, "Hang on, we may have a bit trouble trying to land."
Indeed, for the sky was filled with dragons and eagles, and on the ground the two armies had finally clashed. It would be difficult to land in these circumstances. Aridol pointed, "There, can you get as close to the lake surface? and i'll just jump off."

The armies were fighting beside Lake Indigo and the fierecest fighting was well away from the lake. Clise surveyed the situation and gave Kyne a pat. The dragon dropped abruptly as it changed its direction, heading towards the lake. Below, soldiers from both sides looked up as Kyne's shadow swept over them, pointing and wondering what a dragon was doing so close to the ground; but their musing was quickly forgotten as they fought again, trying to stay alive. No one gave the dragon a further glance, and Clise was relieved that no arrows were speeding their way. Aridol looked longingly back, having recognised some of his own men by their uniforms. Within moments though, Kyne was hovering at the edge of the lake and Aridol quickly climbed down, holding onto the scales and then letting go. He landed in the lake, the water soaking up to his knees. Water rippled from around him, spreading out from the spot Kyne was hovering above.

"Be careful!" Clise called and waved while Kyne flew upwards. The figure of Aridol quickly becoming a small moving dot.

It had been another two days and Oden and Heartsblood were about three days closer to Waterfall City. Oden could already smell the smoke that was just rising out around Waterfall City. Oden's keen sence of hearing was also picking up the yells and screams of the soldiers fighting.

God be with me! thought Oden as he rode on towards the smoky city.

Aridol minimzed the splash as much as possible when he landed into the lake. He immediately dived underwater to evade enemies' eyes.
As he grabbed hold of land again, and pulled himself out at the fringe of the battle, he realized how disorganized and outnumbered his men were.

*I have to rally my men, or else we'll be all killed. Where the hell is the rest of Eyre's army? Will they make it in time?* Ariodol thought.

He lingered at the fringe of the battle, then spotted a fallen Eyre flag. Making sure there were no archers ambusing him, he ran to the flag, grabbed it and waved it high, shouting "Rally to me!!"
From all directions, the men and riders of Eyre turned, recognizing their commander's voice. With their flag up, hope rose in their hearts.
Shouthing their battle cries, the men of Eyre rallied to Aridol, trempling and cutting down any orcs, globins and any other foul creatures that stood in their way.

Aridol cut down those who came near him, and mounted a riderless horse.
Eyre's men rallied to their commander, hailing his return to the battlefield. As one, they charge through the dark army to regroup with their allies to form a more effective fighting force.

With their commander back in lead, Eyre's men fought with a new vigour.
Aridol grabbed a leutenant and asked, "Where is the bulk of Eyre's armies??!!"
"They should be coming any moment now! That is why we are holding on!"
"Survive," With a pat on the soldier's shoulder, Aridol sprinted to the front line and used all his skills to cut down the heavily armoured orcs.

One after the other, their numbers just never dwindle. The allied Waterfall City reinforcement was shrinking, although still large enough to help the city once they were finsihed with the intercepting force.
"If our armies don't arrive any longer, we are done for!" A neighbouring soldier shouted, who screamed as he got cut down by some orcs.

"AHH!!!" Airdol shouted as he stabbed the orc in the chest, "Where the hell are they?"
At that moment, a long, deep horn blew from the west. It continued to blow for three times before flags and glimmering armoured riders appeared from the western hill side.

"The army of Eyre!!!!" a young soldier yelled.
"The King is leading it!" Aridol shouted, "Fellow allies!! Rally and crush the enemy between us and Eyre!"

With that, the mix asortment of Waterfall city's allies wheeled around, attempting to form a vice to crush the orcs. Eyre's riders shouted , "For Eyre!!" and thousands upond thousands of horse men charged into the reeling orcs and goblins. Dark creatures fell upon the tremble of Eyre horses, with their King leading the banners of Eyre into battle, marole of the army rose like birds in the sky.

Now, the combined armies of the free lands overwhelmed the dark forces, slowly grinding the interception force into retreat.

Erulan saw his peril and knew he must have new aid. Master! Give me the power I seek I shall give you my soul and be the general of your armies but give me the power. AS YOU WISH THE ARMIES AND POWER OF HELL ARE YOURS TO COMMAND BUT YOUR SOUL WILL BE MINE IF FAIL. So be it Erulan spit as he felt the dark power fill his veins. Erulan watched confidently as his enemy came closer. Fires of hell I summon thee fill us with your energy. The earth shook and began to break apart. Out of the large cracks came fire giants, fire trolls, and thousands of horse riding soldiers clad in fire. Their armor was like hardened lava their swords and spears were of flames they were spawns the main shock troops of Hell. Their horses were hardly horses their heads were like lions and their tails were serpents.

Oden arrived at Waterfall City as Royal Eyre soldiers rode into battle reinforcing the allies! Oden unmounted off Heartsblood and began running towards the king. The king caught Oden in the corner of his eye and turned to meet his eyes. Oden slowed to a walk and continued towards the king. The king immediatly recognized what Oden was and drew his word.

"Halt Hyrule, who's side do you fight for?!?" demanded the king.

"Pay no heed to my silent approach for I only fight for his majesty, the all mighty God." replied Oden.

The king withdrew his weapons and approached Oden. "Glad to have you with us." said the king extending his hand. Oden shook the king's hand and glanced at the battle field.

"So much death, so much killing. What will it all end?" said Oden.

"My guess is the battle will only end if we kill the whole dark army or if the enemy get the seals." replied the king who seemed to be looking for something.

"What is it you're searching for?" asked Oden.

"I just thought the rest of you would be here. They are coming, right?" asked the king.

Oden just nodded his head with a sad face. "I see, well we should make an attempt to contact who is leading the allied armies." said the king.

"I'll get us there." said Oden rising into the air unfolding his wings. Oden's light grew to illuminate the entire battle field! Both the dark armies and the allied armies turned to look at the glowing figure as it picked up the king and began flying towards the city. Arrows flew by Oden as he swiftly and quickly dodged them! Once they had arrived at the city, all hell broke loose! The amount of dead bodies was so great, trolls had been ordered to take their dead and their enemies dead and pile them from the bottom to the top of the water! There were so many dead, that in no time, the bodies had filled half of a section of the water and the enemy was progressing towards the city walls!!!!

"Fall back!! Fall back!!" someone yelled, running from one end of the wall to another. Taren stabbed a goblin in the chest, pushing the dead creature back he swung his sword around to catch another goblin in the stomach. His quaterstaff had long been discarded, not being very useful in close quater combat. "What?" he shouted, with blood and grim on his face (thankfully it wasn't his blood) as he leaned out of the wall to take a quick peek at what was going on below. What he saw almost made him swear, and he quickly turned to fight off a bunch of goblins who managed to climb up from another cursed leader. He knew he must retreat, but he also had to finish this group off first.

The front gate to the city had been torn open, by demons coming from hell. Creatures of gigantic stature swept aside the soldiers as if playing a game of bowling. Fire, obviously couldn't work against them, and water.....

"Quick! We must turn this into a water gun!" Vialla said hurriedly, and the others dashed out to grab buckets. Freezia, her face calm, walked swiftly past the tide of humanity that was fleeing into the inner city. "What're you doing?" Lorgain shouted at her as she past. He was one of those brave souls who were trying to hold the position at the gate. It was a wonder that he was still alive after that huge scorching of fire.

Freezia didn't reply him. She continued to push forward untill she stood at the space that the defenders of Waterfall City had emptied. Before her stood a human like figure, but it was so tall that its head brushed the top of the ruined gate. Fire licked its body and horns protruded from its head. Rubble of fallen stones laid scattered around the area. Without a word, Freezia took one look at the creature and raised her hand. Lorgain watched in amazement as something hit the creature right on its chest, coming from Freezia's hand. Immediately, ice formed on the surface of the fiery body, spreading rapidly down and up. The creature shrieked in agony, trashing about as it banged its wrists on the walls beside the ruined gate. Its eyes could not be seen because of the fire, but Lorgain knew it was turning its whole attention to the puny figure in front of it.

"Get out!" Lorgain shouted as the creature stepped towards Freezia, its whole body now almost encased in ice.
"You get everyone out of here. I don't know how many i can hold off," Freezia said, her voice commanding. She knew she couldn't hold it for long, but at least she could buy them some time to prepare the coming battle in the city.
