Aridol knelt and slowly squeezed through the gap, while carefully sliding Freezia through it. "Hang on Freezia, we'll get you to Clise and she would heal you in no time," Aridol whispered.

The others crawled through the gap.

Taren grabbed hold the mane of a horse with brown skin, and lifted himself onto its back. Guiding with his heels, the horse veered off into the forest. Thankfully, it seemed to understand him and wasn't resisting like any horse would do with a stranger on its back. Thanks Vialla.

Through the gaps in the canopy, Taren could see the shadow of Kyne moving swiftly across the sky with nothing to hinder its speed. Soon enough, he could no longer see the dragon. The herd of horses had moved on, thundering their way to the south, leaving Lorgain and Taren alone, while the orcs had just made their entrance into the forest.

"Wonder how long they'll keep chasing us?" Taren said, leaning forward on his horse as it leaped across a fallen tree trunk.
----

The seals must be reforged in time.

"Look," Vialla said in a whisper. Below them, a stretch of army was moving steadily towards the same direction Kyne was flying in, their masses blotting out the landscape and their armours shining, as if a number of small suns were hidden under their shadows.

"I'm afraid that we may not be able to make it in time. The seals must be reforged together," Clise said, looking at the sky. The time for the day of reforging was near, they only had a couple of days left at most. If they didn't make it in time.... they would have to wait for many years again....
"Faster Kyne, as fast as you can!" she shouted, giving Kyne a pat on the neck. Feeling the urgency in her rider's voice and hand, Kyne gave a roar and instantly, she increased her speed and Clise had to grab a better hold to steady herself. Wind rushed past her face which was shining in excitement, the thrill of the ride had put her worries behind her. Flying on Kyne had always had this effect on her, when she was flying, she could forget anything that she wanted to.

ok.. here i go.... i just watched lord of the rings II again hahah
so cool
------------------

Through the hole, the group landed into a small chamber filled with boxes and barrels. Aridol looked around quickly, raising his short sword now that his black blade is under lava.

"This is the supply room for the fortress," Clover said, while going to one of the windows to peek out, "On my...."

Aridol gently carried Freezia, and approached the window. His eyes widened in amazement at the scene befalling his eyes.
They were situated inside a tower that was built on the mountain wall inside the Orc fortress. From this height, Aridol could see a huge black mass spreading throughout the grounds outside the fortress. From the spear head of the black mass, Aridol made out the driection, "It's heading for Waterfall city. This is only but one of the Orc armies. We have to get to the city quickly and rally the forces of all the free Kingdoms."

"This will be one long war," Rone said, "Wait the minute. Is that the dragon I'm seeing near the forest?"
Aridol gave them a quick smile, "Looks like Clise and the others made it."
"Anyway, lets find a way outta here, we have to save ourselves first," Reon replied.

The group headed for the door. Clover slowly turned the knob and peered out. She signalled the others, and they crept out without notice. Since most of the orcs are marching with the army, there weren't many guards on duty.

Freezia touched Aridol's shoulder, her eyes wider than normal. "If this is one of the dark armies, I must ride to Arwillene and through the Valley of Gold. Perhaps I can at least bring a legion along quickly, and send word for the outlying allies to rally."

"But the seals -- "

"I have not carried the Light Seal with me for some time," she reminded him. "It is on the pinnacle of the white tower."

"You're so weak -- "

Freezia grabbed the little pack she'd been carrying the entire time. In the bag was a flask of liquid and some waybread. She sipped a drink, peering around the corner for orcs at the same time. All weariness dropped away, and she handed it to Aridol. "We have not eaten in days. Drink, it will give you strength."

Seeing how it had helped Freezia, Aridol drank some tentatively, then passed it to Clover. It tasted like water . . . but richer. A gentle flavor and a soft scent. He found he could stand straighter. He also accepted the wafer of waybread Freezia handed him. It appeased his hunger and gave him a little substance to go on.

"How will we get out?" Clover posed the question. Naturally, they looked towards Rone, but he shook his head.

"Impossible. All of the tunnels to escape will be blocked by the army."

Freezia's eyes brightened, and she stood up rather shakily. "Then we have to go by air!"

"Are you crazy ?!" Clover demanded, reaching out to grab Freezia's shoulder and steady her. "They'll shoot us down!"

Aridol glanced at Clover. "It's safer than the ground. And I doubt most arrows could reach this chamber."

Freezia ran up another flight of stairs into the top of the tower. She leaned out and whistled sharply. It seemed to them that several shadows out over the forest suddenly banked towards them and looked silver. "Keep an eye out for orcs," she muttered. Orcs had turned at the sound, but seen nothing. Soon they would send runners to investigate. The silver gleams suddenly transformed into eagles, and Aridol had to wonder whether or not they had been waiting for them.

"Mount up, I fly for Arwillene. I will be back for the forging . . . expect me in the evening of the third day!" Freezia called, and dropped out of sight. She chose a strange method for escape . . . she dove straight downwards among the darts of the enemy, and then she shot skyward as if from a cannon. A large contingent of the enemy followed her, and it struck Aridol that she was diverting them.

"Let's go!" he cried, and the eagles wheeled skyward, out of range. The fields were darkened with the feet of orcs and goblins, and the dread wainriders of earth and air. As he looked over his shoulder, he saw what looked like a bomb erupting. A blaze of glory, then a ring of flying debris that knocked the orcs around like tenpins. For the fun of it, Rone used the gem seal for the first time in its history. The army was filled with madness and they turned on each other. Aridol did not feel comfortable using the Life Seal, but watched with interest, the glow of Freezia's seal suddenly shooting skyward like a wayward star. But even with out this, he could sense where every other sealbearer was. It was a type of bond that connected them all. Darkness draped its cloak about them as the night swept over them.

Caldir followed the twittering, swooping sparrow as it bobbed its way in front of him leading the way to where he hoped Clover was.
------
Clover sank down wearily, leaning against a tree. They were outside the fortess building thing, Clover still couldn't decide where she had spent who knows how long in, and Aridol set Freezia down as Rone wandered around the first small clearing they had come across. Clover hoped they wouldn't notice how pale she was.

"Are you okay?"

Clover nodded, "I just need to rest. I can't go much further without sitting down... at least for a while."

Aridol looked back over his shoulder, "We can't stay too long, the goblins or orcs or whatever may not be far behind."

Clover had let her chin drop slightly, resting her eyes as she tried to regain more of her former strength that had disappeared with the usage of the crystal. A bird song made her look up slowly and her eyes fell on a young man who had dropped the riens to his horse and was hurrying towards her. They jumped at the sight of him unsure of what to do but Clover gave him a relieved smile as he knelt next to her, "Caldir, you've found me."

Caldir smiled brightly, "I have thanks to my feathered friend, you sure gave me no help."

Clover attempted to give him a stern frown, "Well, the state I'm in right now if I had tried anything I would have passed out."

Caldir looked at her solemnly, "You used the crystal."

It wasn't a question but a statement of fact. Clover looked away nervously and saw Rone and Aridol watching curiously. She looked back up at Caldir shly, "Yes... but I'm fine. It didn't do what it was supposed to and it required more strength but I'm fine."

Rone stepped forward voicing her curiousity, "What is this crystal thing?"

Caldir looked at Clover and saw that she wasn't going to say anything. She had her unreadable mask back in place. Caldir frowned at her then turned back to Rone, "I don't know exactly what it is, but I can tell you what I know. Clover doesn't like to talk about it much. The crystal is her necklace. It's a blue crystal and most of her people have such necklaces. They are hardly used and kept largely a secret. The only people who can use the crystals are her people and it's a good thing too or everyone would be in danger. I'm not sure how it works. I think it's a combination of her telepathic powers and some properties of the crystal. Anyway, she somehow feeds her powers into the crystal until a force comes off of her. The power that comes out is enough to wipe out entire armies of enemies... only enemies... within about a half a mile. Since using the crystals requires almost all her strength it leaves her weak and vurnerable. The danger lies in whether or not she thinks someone is an enemy or not. The more powerful the person the more powerful the force from the crystal."

Rone looked thoughtful, "Then why did it not destroy the demon thing?"

Caldir looked at Clover for an answer. She frowned and stated simply, "Too powerful. Though it did stun and slightly confuse it."

"How long will it take you to regain strength?"

"If I can rest a few hours... if not, a day maybe."

Erulan stood from his throne he was now dressed in full armor his helmet shone like polished granite with his insignia the head of a blood red dragon. He wore a heavy chain mail jerkin over his blood red plate armor he had three weapons on him his broad sword, his spear and his poison tipped dagger. Generals today we march for Waterfall City open the black gates and sound the horns of war! Shrill cries came from the midsection of the Dark Tower a signal to all whom heard it that the time had come. All across Europe and Asia the forces of darkness were gathering the mercenary armies of Mongolia, China, and other lands were marching with Orcs, Goblins, Trolls, Giants, Dragons, Werewolves and Wargs were gathering together answering their Dark Lords call. The armies of Romania well armed and equipped were followed by large wagon trains of food, supplies, and weapons prepared for a long siege. And above the clouds flew hundreds of Dragons whose passengers were men, goblins, and orcs. As the days drew on the armies of darkness amassed together to form one army of 100,000 all under one banner a tall flag bearing a red hand drenched in flames. Behind, in front, and in the middle of the vast army were catapults, Balistas, Siege Towers, Iron Ladders, and Battering Rams with heads of Iron all forged in Orc fortresses and in Romania. The Asian troops had brought their fire powder that could break down any wall (Yes this part is from the two towers).

lol, ferment's been asking that question several times too.... and i was confused as well.. thanks for clarifying, DARRIONS.

i forgot, is Waterfall City Vialla's home?
----

"Well, we seems to have lost them," Taren said into the forest. The noise of the orcs who were following them has long since faded, but he could still hear the sound of the horn lingering in the air. Riding hard to Waterfall City, he and Lorgain only stopped briefly for the horses to rest.

"They're matching," Lorgain stated solemnly. "This will be one bloody war."

Taren looked at him, knowing deep down inside that Lorgain was right, but this was a war that they could not afford to lose. If they could reforge the seals in time, they may still have a chance. Giving his horse a gentle pat on the nose, he gazed into its large, liquid eyes. "Well, ready to go?" he said. The horse gave a snort and rubbed its nose against his arm.

Lorgain was already sitting astride on his steed, which was pure black and had the look of one fierce horse. Taren mounted and gave the side of his horse a small smack. They rode on.
----

Somehow, the three of them managed to rest a little bit on Kyne's back. She was flying fast, though it was a bit unsteady at first, they had then gotten used to the continuous rhythm of Kyne's moving body and wings. Rubbing her eyes, Clise looked ahead. A familiar landscape was approaching them slowly.

"We're almost there!" she said to the others.
"Great," Patyrn said with only one half of the enthusiasm intended, she was probably just as tired as they all were.

Blessed: No. Vialla is of the Hahaelli people, who have settled in the Valley of Gold. I didn't post yesterday because I went back and wrote down the name of every single city and race we visited. Took a while.

~~~~~
The grey eagle bent its head and clacked its beak, and Freezia dismissed it with a wave of her arm. Then she turned to face the great golden eagle she'd met at Vialla's home in the Valley of Gold. "Rahlzi . . . you will have to bear me far, bring me fast." The bird gave a cry that echoed in the sharp pinnacles. By now, the others would be fast approaching Waterfall City.
Freezia turned to look back, and smiled. She suddenly felt good. It was a good day, a very good day. All she asked was the wind in her face and an eagle beneath. Far below her, two columns comprised of a thousand mounted Hahael warriors double-timed it down a steep slope. On their flanks came the faithful remnants of two cities the soldiers of Eyre had purged -- Caracern and Uiani, around five hundred in number. On either side rode scouts and the light calvary of Elario. Around two hundred dark elves that had lived in the Caves of Landinarre had allied them, having left their own kind. Ahead from the rest were forty elves picked up from various places, doing the hunting and scouting. Around four hundred other warriors of different races had agreed to come.
By nightfall, she would have reached Lake Seree and Arwillene.
Looking behind her once more, Freezia's heart gave a leap. Three eagles bearing mounts approached, but her brother was not one of them. He had been slain in the battle of Arwillene. A few skirmishes arose against bands of orcs, but they were wiped out to a beast. This happened several times until they must have slain at least a thousand evil creatures on the march. Some of the fighters she'd rallied were dissapointed that they got none of the action. The warriors were efficient.
Then, to their utter astonishment, a small band of humans sprang from the grass in front of them. Freezia swung back with a word to Rahlzi, and looked into the steady eyes of Liah of the Dragonhost. Behind her were fifty of the dragonhost, their dragons hidden nearby. "We wish to join the battle beside my friend, Clise. Where is she?"
Freezia smiled. "Feel free. She is at waterfall city."
Liah returned the smile and whistled. The dragons descended upon them. "Perfect."
As the army moved towards Arwillene, Freezia quickly calculated the number of persons in and around Watefall City. The six cities on the dike each had at least five thousand active warriors, as was decreed by law. That meant 30 000 warriors able to defend the fringes. There was at least 20 000 able-bodied fighters in the actual city itself. That was 50 000 warriors there, and she would bring in maybe three thousand herself. Suddenly, she was worried. How would they fight, when the time came to face death? She turned her eyes to the North, and saw the darkness. She left the army and flew straight to Arwillene.
glad to have you will, i trust you'll make a dramatic entrance? :)
sounds great Kookaburra, thanks for putting that all together.
----
By nightfall of the third day (as it was faster travelling by air), Kyne arrived at Waterfall City. The people understood that the Dragon Host would be joining the battle too, they had already provided space for landing in preparation for the arrival of various armies. Clise had to explain to them that she wasn't currently on duty with her clan, though her reason for being here was more urgent than any other errand.
As they were led into the presence of Waterfall City's ruler, Clise looked up to gaze at the perpetual mist that hang over Olae-phas like a veil. The place where the seals would be reforged....
Is it possible that one of you guys could have one of your characters meet with the Hyrule's? I need to get back into interacting with other characters.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oden lifted his white brass flute up to his lips. Inhaling slowly and softly and exhaling the same way, he began to play a sweet, sad, low melody into the West towards Mt. Hyrule. The song of Oden's flute whistled through the caverns and forests. He scanned the air to the West as the soft breeze from the East blew through his clothes and cape. A couple minutes later, Oden's gyr falcon swooped down from the air and pirched on Oden's arm. Oden turned his back from the West and began to walk towards the Temple of Hyrule. As he walked he glanced from side to side looking and watching his surroundings. The very same surroundings he had grew up around for 120 years. Oden arrived at the temple and marveled again as he always has when entering the temple. The polished limestone walls, the saphire diamonds that ingraved the seal of the Hyrule's, and the tall white dome that roofed the temple. As he entered, there were whispers of others praying, voices quietly humming, worshiping, and singing hallelujah. Oden continued walking until he stopped beside a twisting stairway.

"Oden, it is good to see you. I have been meaning to speak with you." said the priest walking down the flight of stairs. "For it is always nice to have you hear in the house of the Lord. I was hoping I'd be able to speak with you befo...well, we both already know what you have decided to do. Anyway, what I want to speak to you about is if you need anything, just ask me. I'd be even more than happy to provide you with supplies."

Oden nodded his head and continued to walk alongside the priest. "Sir, I have something to report to you that is of extreme importants." said Oden.

The priest rubbed his chin with his fingers in deep thought to what Oden had just said. "I'll will see to it that a secret council is held before you leave."

Oden nodded and left the priest to hear his footsteps get fainter and fainter down the hall. Oden walked back to the spot where he had previously stood when he called his gyr falcon. Oden closed his eyes and silenced out every sound accept the howl of the wind. The soft breeze that had once been blowing from the East now had picked up speed and had shifted to the West.

Something's not right, thought Oden as he listened carefully. He felt an evil presents sturring deep in his heart. In an instant, he thought he had heard something carried by the wind. Oden listened harder and concentrated harder on the sound. All of a sudden, the dark presents shot through Oden's mind like an arrow piercing flesh! Oden was blown back into a willow tree and almost knocked out! Oden stumbled standing up from his fall and starred back out to the West again. Oden focused his vision to the lower left side of Mt. Hyrule. At first, Oden blinked a couple times and rubbed his eyes and continued to focus in the lower left side of the mountain. Oden immediatly turned around, mounted Heartsblood, and headed towards the castle!

I'll post the rest tomorrow...

After a minute of utter silence, Ariodl said, "Anyway. We can clear this after we are in safe shelter. Lets fly to Waterfall city first."
Clover nodded and the group quickly remounted the eagles, just as pursuit was getting close.

"I hope the armies of Eyre would arrive in time. It's my duty to command my people," Aridol muttered.
Reon said with forced confident, "They will, they will."

Arwillene was emptied. Beside the one thousand left to defend the city, three times that number now rode swiftly behind the shadow that defined Rhalzi. The plains were darkened under the feet of the orcs, and the elves followed hard on their heels. Picking up speed, Freezia brought her fighters into a wedge of a fighting machine, scattering the substancial bands of dark men who had hoped to join the main strength of Erulan's force. These were cut off and the mounted riders scattered them quicker than you could blink. Arwilenes joined the others Freezia had gathered, and the Hahaelli pressed on hard behind a large legion of orcs, slaying many in a running battle. The dragons were instrumental, their fire laying waste to the running goblins. These were hurrying to join a still larger force that was marching towards Waterfall city.

Freezia's alliance camped once, then started on. Around midday, they were attacked by some foolish wainriders, which were quickly disposed of, after losing some twenty soldiers. The lion-wolves were slain by the men of Elario, kneeling and using their pikes to spear the charging beasts, spitting them. A few of the goblin riders were held and questioned, then set free. The dark elves saw to it they didn't escape, however. The noon camp was discarded quickly, and Freezia armed herself with one of the light pikes, wonderful for fighting trolls up close. At dusk they reached the wreck of an Eyre campsite, and found the remnant of fighters. Disheartened, Freezia almost wept when a wounded soldier told her of the death of their valiant captain. "They pinned him to the tree with two spears," he groaned. "Then they set their wolves on him. 'twas a bloody sight, m'lady. They didn't see me in the grass."

In a foul mood, she saw to it the three thousand they added to her ranks were properly cared for. The wounded were tended to by elves and a few able-bodied soldiers were left behind in case of attack. The dead were buried in a mass grave, a mound of dirt over top, with spears pointing outwards in a fence around. When the spears eventually rusted away, golden asters grew profusely on the hill. The orcs, too, were buried in a mass pit and covered with earth. But the hill was always barran. The two mounds were after called Khakzas and Forimar, the Hill of Death and the Astar Mound.

As Freezia walked to Rahzi to remount, a large goblin sprung from the reeds and attacked, backed by another six of his kind. She killed two with arrows, then stunned another with the tip of her bow. Then she drew the sword of Naill, and turned on the other three, a snarl rising in her throat. "You may think you've won this battle . . . but the war!" Disheartened, the goblins backed away, but she killed them, turning to the stunned one, who straighted warily, holding out his crude iron sword. Her eyes glittering dangerously, Freezia hewed the sword close to the hilt and backed him against a tree. "This sword was made from a falling star, and in the pommel sits the jewl of Tuvenin. This is Allakabeth, the Wolfbane." Thoroughly cowed, the goblin shuddered at the dreaded names. Freezia turned away, and wild hope sprang into his limbs. He fled, only to die with a gold-feathered shaft in his spine. Freezia climbed onto Rahlzi and shot at the head of her army, the cold glint of steel in her hand. The jewl of Tuvenin was dormant, thus far.

As they flew low over a small cleft in a mountain ridge, she spotted a temple, seeming to grow out of the trees. And in the distance was a castle . . . not knowing whether to search for more allies or pursue her enemy, she spotted the rider heading for the castle, and she dropped out of the sky to intercept.

Erulan rode above the clouds on his dragon in the distance was Waterfall City like a jewel of pure light and water waiting to be taken. Suddenly Erulan felt the presence of his master as the sky all around him turned black like large bonfires were giving off a large quantity smoke. The darkness continued to surge forward three minutes later all of the City and surrounding country side had turned dark. And down below the armies of Darkness roared in delight of the unmeasurable darkness they didn't notice that another army from under the earth had joined them thousands of far more devastating monsters had entered the army Skeleton warriors from ancient wars were marching behind all dressed in spiked armor. NOW MY WORD I HAVE KEPT A HOST FROM HELL HAS JOINED YOU MAKING YOU FAR STRONGER AS LONG AS YOU LIVE THIS ARMY SHALL STAY IN YOUR SERVICE. Erulan took a horn from his side and blew a cry left from the horn meaning that the war had begun.

Will finish when i get home.

Let's say Rone went with Clise's group.
~~~~~
As the dark army surged forward to bring darkness on the world, a blanket of choking smoke darkened the sky . . . for a moment. Then, six seperate beams of light tore the darkness to shreds and held off the first charge. Deep blue, for Water. Green, for Earth. Red, for Fire. Lighter blue, for Air. Violet, for Gem. And a bright white glare that told the position of the Life Seal. And when Freezia outstretched her arms, a blaze of golden light scattered a legion around her. But even as she did so, she could feel it failing. When the seven rays met, there was a burst of energy. Then the seals flickered and died.
The dark armies rushed towards the East Bank of the great river, and around five hundred packed the bridge before one of Freezia's allied dark elves used his knowledge and some infiltration to explode the great masonry. Freezia left her small army at the disposal of Reon and Clover, and then the eagles and dragons banded together. The dragons sustained a shield of fire in front of them, destroying the lighter calvalries as they went, and then they crossed over the river shore and the river itself, landing on terraces and parks. (Waterfall City is huge, peoples)
One dragon had fallen in the charge, but a quick dive from Freezia had brought the rider up behind her on Rahlzi. Only two hundred goblins had escaped death on the bridge, and these had been killed quickly. Rahlzi bore Freezia up to the pinnacle of Olae-phas, where the other six sealbearers waited for her. The sadness in her eyes told Aridol all he needed to know about those under his command. Freezia looked at the needle-sharp tip of Olae-phas, and she smiled suddenly. "Come, Rahlzi," she murmured, and she came to the horn-ledge. Taking one deep breath, she looked out over the mist-blanketed city, then she blew on the trumpet. The sound was deep and reverbrating at first, but then it rose to a piercing, fell cry that was echoed back within the waterfall caves hundreds and thousands of times, then sounded back against the armies of darkness. Those on the Dyke had sudden inspiration and selected fighters were ferried around on Lake Indigo to attack the skeleton army from behind.
Freezia smiled because she knew Erulan would be impatient . . . his master would be angry. The pelting rain halted and the sun pierced the darkness. Freezia returned to where the others were standing, and she claimed her seal, looking towards Clise. There was an anvil and forge, with flames now leaping up the edges of the anvil. One by one, each sealbearer put their hard-fought-for possession into the flames with long-handled tongs. Their edges began to glow red, and Patryn stiffened slightly. "One seal. Let us make one seal." A priest stepped from the darkness, old and bent, but still strong.
Thus began the reforging of the seven seals.
