Senses
As I lie here in the dark
My breath it quickens sneses spark
My eyes are open I look around
Why is this blackness all that I've found
I listen closely straining to hear
But not a whisper reaches my ear
I sniff the air choke on my own breath
For what surrounds me smells only of death
I swallow hard my throat to drench
But this my thirst no water can quench
I am reaching out will you take my hand
Forgive what I've done lead me from this land
As I lie here in the dark
My breath it quickens senses spark
As I lie here in the dark
My breath it quickens sneses spark
My eyes are open I look around
Why is this blackness all that I've found
I listen closely straining to hear
But not a whisper reaches my ear
I sniff the air choke on my own breath
