Tonight-- I hope-- will be a night for iced tea, a good book, amd a comfy spot on the couch.

Sounds like you take very good care of yourself!!Exercise: As much as possible. A good week would be 7 hours exercise.
Food and drink: Fruit and vegetables with strong colours (bright orange, dark red, deep green, dark purple etc), because those are the ones that have the most anti-cancer and other health-boosting compounds in them. Dark chocolate (70% cocoa or above) is also good, but I don't have any at the moment.
Supplements: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and A-Z multivitamins and minerals taken with a meal.
Skin care: Zinc oxide sunscreen to stop the UV.
They can be visible in my area also, although I think I may have only seen them once or twice when I was younger, but it was so long ago I only remember vaguely and we weren't in a good location for viewing. It is hard to find a good spot for seeing them!!I tried to see the Northern Lights several times, but I wasn't successful. I arrived too late after the activity had finished. There is an alert service. After my unsuccessful attempts, I learned that you have to be prepared in advance. You need to have already researched a suitable dark-sky site, and you have to set off early on the day that the coronal mass ejection is due to arrive, so that you're already at your chosen site when it starts getting dark. Then you just sit and wait. And if you're lucky you might see something.
They are the best!!!I love Tom and Jerry. These are my favourites.

That sounds so very lovely!!Did a spur of the moment late afternoon drive to look at the lakes in the areas that I do running during training season. Absolutely gorgeous sunsets!
I love driving around lakes...they are quite beautiful throughout the seasons. <3 Wow, that's awesome you are going into so much care and detail in preparation for your marathon!!Another self care, yesterday I got to speak with my insurance health coach. I think we are a good match. She is 10 years older than me and will be running an ironman. I want to focus on nutrition during my Marathon training. She's already given me some good tips for what to eat before running and what to eat after and also during. I had no idea that pickle juice and beet juice were good to keep my hydration and not having heat exhaustion.
I downloaded MyFitnessPal and will have to begin documenting the food that I eat for the first time in my life. I told her that I was kicking and screaming internally. I do not like to count calories or to have to write down stuff like this. I did go through a time with a naturopathic doctor though cleaning everything out and only going by the ingredients and reading the ingredients while in the grocery store. This habit I still do.
I love pickles and pickle juice! Lately I have been making a probiotic drink with beets called "kvass"! Reminds me a little bit of the brine for pickles.

I was watching my niece almost every day for quite a while, but now I am taking turns watching my niece while my Sister works and then on alternate days watching my nephew while my Sister-In-Law and Brother work. Oh, yeah, I was a Hostess some years ago but then got a different job a year later as a Caregiver for almost a year before moving back up with family, which was a good 5 hours away, so unfortunately I wasn't able to stay working in that job.I don't remember if you've said either way, Somber. Do you babysit family pretty much full-time? I have a vague memory of you once saying in a pm from long ago that you were just starting a new job as a restaurant hostess. So if you are still doing anything like that for any number of hours int he week while also still looking after nieces and nephews seemingly this much, then I imagine you must not get much rest ... at least not easily.![]()
That looks like a fun movie! I shall have to look it up sometime!!You should watch the live action version where they make Chloe Moretz's life miserable while she's trying to work at a four-star hotel.

Oh that sounds so nice! I hope you are able to do everything you are hoping to for relaxing!!Tonight-- I hope-- will be a night for iced tea, a good book, amd a comfy spot on the couch.
Haha, me too, but I have to go to bed early- my opener is not gonna make it in, so I have to open to make sure the doc can see her patients on time.Oh that sounds so nice! I hope you are able to do everything you are hoping to for relaxing!!![]()
Aww, that's no fun! Sounds like you fill in for people a lot over there!Haha, me too, but I have to go to bed early- my opener is not gonna make it in, so I have to open to make sure the doc can see her patients on time.
That's why they pay me the big-bucks-- and by big-bucks-- i mean just barely more than one of my associates, and less than the other twoAww, that's no fun! Sounds like you fill in for people a lot over there!

Wow, I don't blame you for your reasoning on that! It's sad when you can't find anyone reliable to help! That's why they pay me the big-bucks-- and by big-bucks-- i mean just barely more than one of my associates, and less than the other two
We were a team of four, but one of my people got poached by another store they lived closer to, and they don't drive and take the bus to work, so being closer to home, I totally understand. But that left me with two full-timers, and one part timer, who only works two days a week, and neither are full shifts, so I can't really count her toward the schedule like a full timer.
As a result of being short handed, it can be hard to keep all the gaps covered. I tried to fill the empty spot, but the only people who applied-- one is an okay worker, but kinda lazy, he knows how far he can push the line, and pushes it exactly that amount, he doesn't care how much work needs doing, he doesn't hurry, his hygiene is bad; dirty clothes that don't fit well, scraggily beard, etc. First impressions matter, you have to have nice, clean clothes, and you can't look like you haven't showered in a week if you wanna do what I do. But he was the front runner
The other one works customer service desk, so I know she's great with customers, especially bad ones who get aggressive. But she's late every day, uses every ounce of her paid time off to keep her attendances from racking up, and when she runs out of time off, she cries to her managers to get them to remove the absences. I asked her supervisor what she thought of her, and I was told, and I quote: "Don't do it. You'll hate your life."
The third option also works customer service, and she blew off her interview. "We were busy at the service desk, I couldn't get away."
I told her to stop by vision either on her way to break, her way back from break, on her way to lunch, on her way back from lunch, or after they relieve her at the desk for the night, but before clocking, just stop by vision on her way to the time clock. She did none of those things.
So either the interview wasn't a priority, or she lacks the judgement to problem solve. Either way, not exactly a positive in her favor...
So yeah, right now, I'd rather just stretch and fill with what I've got then hire someone I don't think will be a good fit.

Well if my annual eval goes well, and if walmart decides to help us out with the inaccurate numbers they gave us, I'll get something. And when I finally pass my exams and become licensed, I'll get a hefty raise then.Wow, I don't blame you for your reasoning on that! It's sad when you can't find anyone reliable to help! You need to demand a raise over there!!

It is part of my diet..... I count all those calories and because I don't eat them I can claim that off my diet for the month.Oh goodness! I have been doing it wrong my whole life!![]()
I really hope that everything works out for you with that!!Well if my annual eval goes well, and if walmart decides to help us out with the inaccurate numbers they gave us, I'll get something. And when I finally pass my exams and become licensed, I'll get a hefty raise then.
That is great!!!It is part of my diet..... I count all those calories and because I don't eat them I can claim that off my diet for the month.

thank you! That's interesting that you have had pickle juice. I haven't heard of kvass, but I have had probiotic gut shots with beet juice from the health food store. And probably in the past with juicing but just for health benefits.Wow, that's awesome you are going into so much care and detail in preparation for your marathon!!I love pickles and pickle juice! Lately I have been making a probiotic drink with beets called "kvass"! Reminds me a little bit of the brine for pickles.

That sounds like the perfect evening!Sitting on the couch, eating a tub of ice cream, and watching soap operas.
I should be fine during the pandemic.
