CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yeah, this is getting VERY irratating. These other search functions are pretty much worthless and do not take the place of the profile search. Why is this taking so long? Admins?

Hi, we have been painfully aware of this problem for some time. It is being worked on even as we speak, and it will be back up and running as soon as the Tech people can resolve the problem.

At least I have finally found out I'm not the only one who uses this feature all the time. Thought I was just weird. I always sign on and check my own posts since I post just about everywhere and it's the only way to really keep track of things. Hope it's fixed soon.

Phew, I thought it was a policy for people's privacy or something. I am delighted that this nuisance will eventually be gone. At least, I hope it will eventually be gone...

This is simply ridiculous. The least they could do is to get the tech person to come in and explain what the problem is. We're not idiots here, and some of us may be able to help.
