Does the thought of this sadden you? That one who comes in at the last hour would obtain the same reward you believe yourself to receive?
No, I delight in this. But not everyone, in fact, most everyone will not be saved as FL says.

Dear Dave: Why don't you show us the passages of Scripture addressing "damnation"?
“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7:14)

Okaaaay. We have a universalist who cannot reconcile the loss of the many with the salvation of the few. So he ignores all the passages that mention the damnation of most.
What is it that you have done in your life, or plan to do that make you feel worthy to receive the life that will not be given to the ones you believe are destroyed? What do you feel will make you worthy of life, while they will deserve and receive destruction?

Dear Dave: Perhaps the post went over your head. You are going to show us every passage using "damnation." As punishment for being so slow (LOL), you can then demonstrate what the koine is for "damnation" and the meaning.

So why do you believe you will walk into life and they wont? What are you doing that will make you escape this damnation that they are not doing?

Jesus did not die for the pharisees in John 10. How will they be saved?

Nothing on my part. God saved me when I least wanted religion or anything to do with Christ.

A couple of questions:

1. What is damnation?

2. According to the Scriptures, are there degrees of damnation?

3. Are the elect first-fruits of the Father's prevenient grace subject to damnation? Does damnation begin at the House of God?

The Father willed through Christ to reconcile the universe once more unto Himself, and so to restore all things whatsoever and wheresoever they be. -Dr. John Lightfoot-

“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:16)

Damned = 56.31 κατακρίνω; κατάκρισις, εως f; κατάκριμα, τος n; καταδικάζω; καταδίκη, ης f: to judge someone as definitely guilty and thus subject to punishment—‘to condemn, to render a verdict of guilt, condemnation.’10

Yet you feel that he wont do the same from many others..... you must feel that you have something that they havent....right? How can one be delivered from death row on the date of execution....only to exclaim so boldly that, because it is written, many others will not be saved like they was.

It would seem to me that all their time would be spent being grateful for there own release, and not the telling of others that their own chances are slim....."but hey, I made it"

Im missing something....

If scripture says most are lost, I assume he only saves a certain amount.

For those who think God's plan is to save the world, why did Jesus pray only for those God gave Him and those who would believe in Him through their word? (John 17)
It's also stated if we deny him he will deny us yet Peter did it three times and wasn't denied, also called Satan for rebuking the spirit in Jesus, of coarse when you literalize parables and allegories your stuck in a belief in two power when God is all there is wearing all the masks in your conscience awareness.

Do you feel that you are in that number? If so, why? And, if not, what is there to be done to get in that number?
Jesus says whoever believes has eternal life. So my faith is evidence of that. I did not want salvation or anything to do with Christ when God saved me. But He made a believer out of me.

“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7:14)

Dear Dave: Congratulations on finding Matt. 7.14. Can you now identify all translations (or a few) using the word "damnation"?

[ A-1,Noun,G2923, krites ]

a judge" (from krino, See B, No. 1), is used

(a) of God, Hebrews 12:23, where the order in the original is "to a Judge who is God of all;" this is really the significance; it suggests that He who is the Judge of His people is at the same time their God; that is the order in Hebrews 10:30; the word is also used of God in James 4:12, RV;

(b) of Christ, Acts 10:42; 2 Timothy 4:8; James 5:9;

(c) of a ruler in Israel in the times of the Judges, Acts 13:20;

(d) of a Roman procurator, Acts 24:10;

(e) of those whose conduct provides a standard of "judging," Matthew 12:27; Luke 11:19;

(f) in the forensic sense, of one who tries and decides a case, Matthew 5:25 (twice); Luke 12:14 (some mss. have No. 2 here); Luke 12:58(twice); Luke 18:2; Luke 18:6 (lit., "the judge of unrighteousness," expressing subjectively his character); Acts 18:15;

(g) of one who passes, or arrogates to himself, judgment on anything, James 2:4 (See the RV); James 4:11.

Impressive list. But most end up dying in their sins.
