How did we get the nature of the devil?

Adam got it when he gave up his Rightesouness by doing what God forbid Him to do.
That was REBELLION.

Satan got cast out of Heaven, and Jesus "saw the devil fall as lightning", because Satan rebelled against God.

So Satan's nature is rebellion, and this is the "fallen nature".
This nature is the nature of all unbelievers.

Jesus said. 'you must be born again".
This new birth creates a person as no longer the devil's child....if we are born again, and not just water baptized.

We are born again by a NEW FATHER, and now exist as a Son of GOD, and not a "child of the devil".

Oh, by a free will rebelling against HIM? Right, I think so too but since we are sinners at conception, where were we when we made this free will decision?

Think about this...

When Jesus was born, He was born as GOD, "in the Flesh", SINLESS.
So, that is not a "free will" decision..
But rather that is the effect of Jesus's SEED coming from GOD whose Name is HOLY.

So, you get your nature, from your father' seed, who is connected to 1st Adam.

Jesus got His Nature from His Father's SEED....who is the HOLY Spirit.

Good Day,

By God:

John Owens notes:

Sanctification is an immediate work of the Spirit of God on the souls of believers, purifying and cleansing their natures from the pollution and uncleanness of sin, renewing in them the image of God, and thereby enabling them, from a spiritual and habitual principle of grace, to yield obedience to God, according to the tenor and terms of the new covenant, by virtue of the life and death of Jesus Christ.
Or more briefly: It is the universal renovation of our natures by the Holy Spirit into the image of God, through Jesus Christ.

On the Holy Spirit (Pneumatologia) - Parts 1 & 2 (eBook) | Monergism

A great way to remember it is that Justified is something said about you, while sanctification is done to you.

I never let my struggling view of sanctification impact the reality of my Justification.

In Him,

Bill

So, you get your nature, from your father' seed, who is connected to 1st Adam.
So, even Satan, the most evil, got to choose his fate by his free will uncoerced by anything but his own faith YHWH was not GOD.

And Adam and Eve are proof GOD CAN create humans without sin and with a free will, right? So why didn't He??

How it is loving for HIM to create HIS potential Bride, all of mankind, in Adam so they get his sinful nature? The idea is patently absurd.

Isn't it amazing how many ideas are called mysteries because though outright blasphemies, they are accepted as necessary to support preconceived dogma about our reality. They mystery is how they ever came to be accepted, sigh.

Yes.

See......God can't hold you accountable for what He makes you do.
He can only hold you accountable for CHOICES you make.
Those are yours to make., and the consequences are yours to face.

The thousands that go to hell everyday, made a choice to REJECT CHRIST

"free will"..

Then how can I inherit Adam's sinfulness as my created nature?? This is a blatant contradiction!

Then how can I inherit Adam's sinfulness as my created nature??.

From Adam.
He fell, and the human race entered into a curse.
DEATH, is a curse.

This curse is the adamic nature.... and this curse is 2 fold. You have physical death, and you have spiritual death.

The 2nd Adam, who redeems the born again from the CURSE of THE LAW, is the righteousness of GOD, as "the Gift of Salvation".

Salvation, is JESUS HIMSELF.
So, when we read that the born again are "IN CHRIST" this means that they have become the righteousness of God in Christ, as proven by Christ indwelling the born again Spirit of all who have believed and have been born again.

How do you become "Sanctified".
God does it.
We have no influence in who He sanctifies, nor do we work at being sanctified.

" Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and [offering] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure [therein;] which are offered by the law;
9 then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all]."
( Hebrews 10:8-10 ).

We are sanctified by the blood and by His Spirit as believers.
It is a process that the Lord initiated and finished by His own hand.

In verse 9, I've underlined "thy will", and in verse 10, as you can see, it is by this will that we, Christ's sheep, are sanctified.

Most of the rest of your OP I agree with, at least tentatively.

The Elect sinner has three phases of sanctification,

There's a sanctification before the world began by the Father in Eternal Election which I believe is alluded to here Jude 1:1

1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

That is the Father loved them and gave them to Christ Eph 1:4

Theres a legal sanctification by the Son of God wherein by His death for them they are sanctified, set apart Heb 10:10, and finally there is a experiential sanctification by the Spirit when by new birth they are set apart in their minds, wills, and affections unto Spiritual life 2 Thess 2:13 !

God does it.
We have no influence in who He sanctifies, .

To be born again is to be sanctified.
Our Sanctification comes from our Sonship status as "Son of GOD".
You can't be that, unless you are become "Made righteous", sanctified, ...etc.

According to Scripture, when do you see that happening for a person?

when "faith is counted AS Righteousness".

The end result of that is to become a new Creation in Christ, born again.

I'm trying to understand how you see the gift of eternal life ( Romans 6:23 ) being bestowed on someone.

Are you saying that in order for a person to be saved, God must rely on their act of faith in order to decide to save them?
That He relies on their will or their decision to grant them the new birth?

Jesus Himself is eternal life.
I have a Thread on this...if you care to find it.

Jesus said, "im the way the truth and THE LIFE".. John 14:6

So, to be born again, is to become one with God AND Christ.

"ONE"> Spiritually joined by being born again by God's Spirit, into God's Spirit.
This creates the born again to be '"IN Christ"....
So, by being IN Christ and """"" One With God""""", is why the born again have Eternal Life.

"Christ IN YOU< the hope of Glory" is your eternal Life...>its HIM.
If you have Jesus in you, then you have Eternal Life, as Jesus Himself is Eternal Life.

I agree, but that's not what I'm trying to understand.

What I'm focusing in on is why you see salvation dependent upon what a person does, when in any other setting ( whether it be financial, barter, trade, or gift-giving ), for someone to wait until someone meets a requirement... and only after the requirement is met , they then grant them something... would make it a reward, and not a gift.

If you would, please explain how God waiting until someone believes on His Son, and only after that He gives them eternal life, does not make that gift into a reward and dependent upon someone's efforts.

What I'm focusing in on is why you see salvation dependent upon what a person does,

Salvation is absolutely not related to what a person does.
You'll never find a word in my Threads or Posts, that talk about any type of self effort as the way a person is saved or stays saved. (Salvation).

Listen, Salvation, is Jesus on the Cross, 2000 yrs Ago.
He said..>"it is finished/accomplished"< then died.

The "it" is Salvation.
He did it....He finished it. Its done.
God offers it.....-= Salvation, as "the gift of Salvation"..... John 3:16

A person does not do or earn or keep salvation, " they RECEIVE it, as "the gift of Salvation".
