DUDE, sorry, I didn't understand! If your kids needed to be tended to, don't apologize for having priorites! I completely understand and didn't mean to be rude. I was just kinda like, "O...K..., yeah". I wasn't mad or anything. Sorry about it if it seemed like it. TTYL Jesus loves you!

If you truely accept Christ than Yes. It is a continous walk and prayers are needed as we journey in our relationship with Christ. God works towards the good of all who love Him. So you must love God and by loving God and loving his Son Jesus you will live according to his will. You will continually become greater in your faith. But you must keep that relationship going strong. BRB with Bible scripture.

Hebrews 10:26

For if we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there is no longer remains sacrifice for sins, but a fearful prospect of judgment and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries. A man who has violated the law of Moses dies without mersey at the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment do you think will be deserved by man who has spurned the Son of God, and profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and outraged the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay."

I can't type the whole book of Hebrews right now but a lot of it answers your question.

I can't type the books of Romans and Galatians right now.

I can however tell you that this was written to Jews who believed in the Old Covenant, and that we will be punished after being adopted into God's family when we sin, just not via hell for eternity.

John 3:16 very good but read on John 3:19 And this is the judgement that the light has come into the world, that men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

Romans 3:22-24 again good but read on Romans 3:31 Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law

Galatians5....read on Galatians5:16-26
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh; for these are apposed to each other, to prevent you from doing what you would. But if you are led by the Spirit you are not under the law. Now the worksof the flesh areplain: fornication, impurity, licetiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, slefishness, dissension, party spirit, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control: against such there is no law. And those who belong to christ Jesus have crusified the fless with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Let us have no self-conceit, no provoking of one another, no envy of one another.

Read further into Ephesians and you will find we are to not boast of our works but we are to live according to the Holy Spirit...everything good is from God not from us therefore we shouldn't boast...this by no means means that works are not important.

Romans 8:12
So then, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh--for if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you live. For all who are led by the spirit of God are sons of God.

Love and God Bless

OK, cool beans. What are you trying to say?

1) Great. Lovers of evil hate God's message and light. If you were trying to get at that you must do a work to the finished work of Christ cause God's work isn't good enough, I missed it.

2) Great. I don't think we should overthrow the law. We should follow it. Matthew 5:16 and because we love Him. I never said to overthrow the law, I just said we don't earn righteousness by bribing God with our filthy rags.

3) Wow. You must have missed the importance of that section that said, "And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." So if we are saved, we don't wanna do that. It died with Christ.

4) And the reference is... let's not discredit the verses just yet.

5) "but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you live" #3 there, killer. Also, look at the verses after it, I just did.

I'm not going to repeat myself again, about justification through faith in Christ. If you wanna hear my viewpoint, back track to my previous posts. TTYL Jesus loves you!

All right. John 6:47

Did you miss all the verses I posted above and the explanation of James 2? True Christianity is knowing that you can't stand before a perfect God and declare yourself righteous. You can't bribe Him with filthy rags. He only is perfect, He alone deserves heaven. When Jesus said it is finished dying on the cross for you, He conquered death and the effects of our sins.

Please look at the post up there where I explained the verses.

Also look at "It's kinda sad really, but..." It's a thread I started where the truth stood unrivaled.

Defender--
If you have a problem with my earlier post...your problem is not with me. All I quoted was scripture you lead me to. Scripture has to be used in context. It is very dangerous practice to select verses to make it sound like we can do as we wish and be given a gift....We must give our lives to the God. We can't be bank robbers, sleezes...living towards lusts of the flesh....It just doesn't work that way.
