Do you agree that faith includes repentance -

If you are talking about the moment of New Birth, when God forgives all a person's sin, and gives them Jesus Inside them, who is there eternal life, forever....

Well, to get that, you repent of being an unbelever.
So, that is the real repentance.

If you are sinning and repenting later, after you are saved, then you faith is not right.

Salvation is God's Gift that He gives when a person repents of unbelief, as proven by God accepting their faith, to save them.

Following our Salvation, we learn how to be a disciple.
There is your "following".

Sorry, I don't see a question. Does that mean I am not suppose to respond to you?

Of course not. That is ridiculous.

Is repentance only for unbelief, or does repentance onto salvation include repentance from acts that lead to death?

Hebrew 6:1 (WEB) 1 Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,

"because the Spirit frees us from from sin's power over us, and guides our faith to live a righteous life".

Christ has redeemed us from the cruse of the law.

"sins power", is this. .. "the POWER of SIN....is the law".

So, the law, is .......the dominion of the law.

If a person is under this dominion, as a believer, then this is because they are not trusting in Christ to keep them saved.

So, they are trying to do it, which means they are back to laws and commandments, which puts you back "under the law" where "the law is the power of sin".

When you are there, you sin and confess and have no peace.

,

Which death?
There are 2.

There is the one you are heading for, and then there is the 2nd Death.

Can repenting of your yesterdays sin, keep you from dying, in the future?
Really?

So, that verse is talking about HELL., that is gained when you dont repent from THIS... John 3:36

But......Paul teaches that if you live in sin as a born again believer, ....and stay there, as a believer, you will die.
And you will go to heaven.

However, walking in the Spirit, is not about doing deeds with your body.

It surely does. Walking in the Spirit, is to continually put to death the deeds of the body, and to live a righteous life before God.

Galatians 5:24-25 (WEB)
24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

Romans 8:12-13 (NIV) 12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation — but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live

Galatians 6:7-9 (WEB) 7 Do not be deceived.
God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up.

Eternal life is Jesus in us, not what we do.

Also, we do have an obligation to live honoring God.

But this is not how we stay saved.
Its just our discipleship.

I think we should want to follow Jesus and honor God, even if there was no heaven or hell, because then we would be doing it just for Him.

Yes, "US" who believe. By faith the Spirit frees us. The faith that is genuine is a faith that is demonstrated by living and walking by the Spirit God gives us by faith.

Which guides our faith to live a righteous life.

How to know you are not walking in the Spirit.

1.) trying to keep commandments and the law to go to heaven
2.) trying to do good works and keep commandments and the law to go to heaven
3.) If you believe you can lose your salvaiton.

Following our Salvation, we learn how to be a disciple.
There is your "following".

Is being a disciple optional for salvation?

Consider these Passages:

Luke 14:27-35
27 Whoever doesn’t bear his own cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. 28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it? .... 33 So therefore whoever of you who doesn’t renounce all that he has, he cannot be my disciple.

If you are not a disciple of Lord Jesus are you still a Christian?

Acts 11:26 (WEB) 26 The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

Christian = disciple

The whole reason and purpose for the Gospel is to make disciples (Christians). That is the Gospel.

Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

The Passage says nothing about falling into temptation, because that is a no no.

The Passage is referring to bearing the temptation before we fall. God gives us a way out.

"No temptation hath taken you" (Young's) And "No temptation has overtaken you" (Strong's) sounds more like falling into temptation.

If you want to honor God the most, then never try to lead anyone to believe they can lose their salvation.
When you do that, you deny the blood of Jesus IS the only power as Salvation, by having replaced it with self effort.
Thats Galatians 1:8

God does not save you so that you can become a disciple.
He saves you so that you can become a SON.

As a Son, you are to "Present your body a living sacrifice"....not to be saved, or to try to stay saved, but because you ARE Saved.

Teach it like that.

We first repent and believe in Jesus, showing our commitment to being His disciple. These are the ones God saves.

For instance, notice in the Scripture that you first deny yourself and follow Jesus to be saved.

Luke 9:23-25 (WEB) 23 He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, will save it.

NO.

A Christian is one who is born again by the Holy Spirt of God, into the Holy Spirit of God.

Jesus said..>"you must be born again".

Receive that word, obey it, and God causes you to become a Son.

God does not save you because you showed "commitment to become a disciple".

Listen, this isnt the Air Force, or the Army, where you sign up, pledging to wear the uniform and serve your Country.

Salvation is not that.
Salvation is God rescuing you, and forgiving you, not because of your PLEDGE< but because GOD IS LOVE.

You really think that there is no change in life in the physical by living in the Spirit? What is the sense of living in the Spirit if it produces no change in life?

Notice, the Scripture teaches about a new life, crucified to the flesh with its passions and lusts, showing us that those who walk in the Spirit have this new life acted out in our physical lives.

Galatians 5:24-25 (WEB)
24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
