No, brinny, it was you false witnessing against me, calling me a heretic that I objected to.
The bible no way refutes that the Wisdom of Christ given to the church is heretical!!!I did no such thing.
I was speaking of Sophia, as well as Gnosticism, and what the Bible refutes as heretical, as all of my posts clarify.
Praying.

The bible no way refutes that the Wisdom of Christ given to the church is heretical!!!Nor does it refute God’s control. Go back and read what I wrote and leave out the word Sophia and replace it with the mind of Christ. Then look at the fire as special service for God. There is no need to place the analogy in front of the facts, because I was merely trying to aide understanding.
Reread it, cut thru the smoke blinding your eyes. What has what you posted got to do with my post that you quoted from (post #101) ?

From my understanding Jesus opened the door for everyone already. He even said on the Cross, "it is finished" as a way of saying the separation of God and men is over. When He died the curtain of the tabernacle broke in half opening the way for everyone to come; Jew, gentile, men, women, free and slaves. The Bible says in John 3:16 that God loved the world so much that gave His only son that WHOEVER believes in Him should not die, and to have eternal life.Sad news to report
You did not choose Me, I chose you.
- To receive Him it must be granted to you. It does not come by the will of the flesh, nor the will of man.
- The Lord must open your heart (like Lydia).
- No man can come to Jesus Christ “it is granted of My Father.”
- The foundation for being a disciple of Jesus Christ,
Peter says Jesus was known before the creation of the world but it says nothing about Paul being created before the foundation of the world?19but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot. 20He was known before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in the last times for your sake.21Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him; and so your faith and hope are in God.…
If God decided before time began to choose to be with everyone who accepted His charitable gift, would the people who were willing to accept charity forcing God to live with them or did God choose them to be with Him?Sad news to report

Absolutely! Only God incarnate could have defeated death and sin. Without Christ, we were all dead - but, only because of Him, have we been made "alive". Jesus needed to become flesh in order to redeem the flesh of humanity. Was a Savior necessary?

You quoted John 15:16 but what about the rest of that statement?
You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.
This is basically like Jesus saying I have chosen you to do a job so do it.
What is the message Jesus is trying to convey to His 11 faithful apostles?

Dear BNR: The rest of the "statement" flows from the fact>>>
You did not choose Me, I chose you
666........interesting.
If you read further on, you will see Judas mentioned. And we all know what happened after the Last Supper when Jesus finished His famous Garden discourse........
Judas and the minions of the Satan/Devil Jewish Rulers/Chief Priests show up........the false religious "rulers of the world".
"Judas" is also another name for "Judah", the tribe Jesus was descended from
John 6:
66At this, many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67Jesus said therefore to the twelve, "You don't also want to go away, do you?" 68Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69We have come to believe and know that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
70Jesus answered them, "Didn't I choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?" 71Now he spoke of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, for it was he who would betray him, being one of the twelve.
Luke 22:3
Then Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve.
John 13:
2 The evening meal was underway, and the Devil had already put into the heart of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus
18 “I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.' [Psalms 41:19]

Then the longest discourse by Jesus in the NT before He is arrested, tried and crucified.........
John 12:31 "Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.
John 14:30 "I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.
John 16:11 "of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged
The Betrayal of Jesus
(Matthew 26:47-56; Luke 22:47-53; John 18:1-14)
John 18:3 Judas, therefore, having taken the band and officers out of the Chief priests and Pharisees, doth come thither with torches and lamps, and weapons;

Judah is actually named as the "Rich Man" in this covenantle parable of Luke 16:
Luke 16 "Rich Man/Poor Man" parable.....The most misunderstood/misinterpreted Parable in the NT?
Lazarus and the Rich Man - Here a little, there a little - Commentary
LUKE 16:27 "Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.' " (NKJV)
Yielding himself to his destiny, the rich man asks one more thing of his forefather Abraham. He pleads with him to send someone to warn his brothers, so that they may escape "this place of torment" (basanou), the testing and punishment that he was undergoing, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, and Zebulun (Gen. 35:23).
The fact that the rich man has five brothers is a vital clue to his true symbolic identity.
Judah, the progenitor of the Jews, was the son of Jacob through Leah (Gen. 29:35). He had five full-blooded brothers: Reuben
This detail cements the identity of the rich man as the House of Judah, the Jews!
Yeah. I've been spending too much time on the Eschatology "guru" board............. like trying to break thru a stone wall with a toothpick.I thought someone would pick up on that. I might have guessed it would be you.
He chose jobs for us to do after we are saved is what that refers to (we are saved if we choose life and bow the knee to Him which many dont choose life unfortunately but choose death).
They believe not everyone is chosen; so unless God chooses you, you are doomed to go to hell from birth.
As many as RECEIVED him“As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God .”

The Bible teaches God chooses. It also says that nothing we do can justify us before a Holy God.They believe not everyone is chosen; so unless God chooses you, you are doomed to go to hell from birth.
