No school today because of Parent-Teacher conferences, and I can't wait to hear what the 2nd grade teacher has to say about my girl!!!

The middle- and high-schools do not have this priviledge today, my sons said.

Let us know how it goes! I always go to teacher's conferences with my nerves a bit jangled....first I cook the teacher's meals for them (a staff of 35), so I'm usually a bit frazzled. Second, my kids are the kind that teachers either rave about or feel overwhelmed by.

Now that I think about it, I get more nervous about teacher's conferences than the dentist!

Well, I know I had a bit of trouble with my oldest, but now he's a football player and popular, straight As...still has the potential to be ornery at times.

The middle one is a dream student, except for he does not take correction well, but he's in all advanced classes.

So I never sweated the meetings until my daughter.
She is very smart, but very emotional to say the least.
This second grade teacher is exceptional, loves the kids with all her heart, and is a good match for my child.
She is helping her with her impatience, her dislike of change, and other issues.
My girl has finally made friends, too!!!
So all good!!!

I know how you feel! My first born started school this past september! I could not believe he is was going to kindegarten! i still cannot believe it!
And...yesterday he lost his first baby tooth! wah!
He's growing up too fast!
Thank goodness I have two more...one is 4yrs and one is 2yrs. So i have them for now.

oh WB, I am AFEEEAAARED of those years. And they are rushing at me fast (a 10 and 9 year old daughter, 7 year old son). The 10 year old will be in Jr High in a year and a half.

Yeah, most folks my age have grandchildren the same age as my younger kids, but I have a 14 y.o. and a 12 y.o., too. So I understand.
They are good kids but we are keeping our eyes on them anyway!!!
