Hmmmm....
someone should make "Prayer Chocolate" Big flat bar, lots of little squares, a cross on each one, and you are required to silently say a prayer as you let it melt in you mouth! The women of the world would increase their praying BIG TIME wouldn't you say?

Cuhoool!

They don't cancell here unless we have -60 below windchill...then only the busses get cancelled.

OR ALL streets and roads are officially shut down by our Department of transportation (only happened once in 1997).

Parents here get in an uproar if the schools don't stay open because most of them have 4 wheel drive and can get to work.

The public schools stated, "if children have a parent who is available at home, it is at the familie's discression if they would like to have the child counted as absent for the day in challenging weather. School will only be cancelled in the most dire of weather."

The private schools simply said they follow the public school's lead on if school should be closed.

They did cancell (early discharge) for a tornado warning at our own school last spring.

what are you SAHMs up to today? I have to run to get milk....other than that...it's a SAH day! My son Nick had school today. He didn't want to go. He had only been going to kindegarten for 3 months and already he is giving me a hard time about going to school.

I LOVE being a sahm. I didn't at first though! Boy was it tough to get used to it for me. Now I love it. I was a social worker for about 10 years and really enjoyed my job. I like being involved with people on a social level too. So.... I joined a moms group. We have play dates and get together twice a month for meetings and I've made soem wonderful friends and so has my son. He's 2 btw. It's been good for both of us. I am also a volunteer at my church and that gives me an "outside" sense of accomplishment (if that tmakes sense)
