just two days until Thanksgiving!

my MIL hasn't decided wether or not she's coming...and my mom said she wasn't coming....oh well..perhaps it will just be us. that's ok! we are thanking God for our blessings not hosting a dinner party!!

Doing Thanksgiving here with my mom and step dad.

I have to do the shopping today, and plan what I wanna do with my big turkey (already thawed in the fridge).

I'm thinking of injecting something, but not sure what yet, maybe putting a sprig of rosemary and thym under the breast skins, but some people like to eat those....

The good thing is that my parents have no expectations and are happy with anything I make.

I like to put herb butter under the skin...infuse the butter with garlic and rosemary and thyme and rub it under the skin...then place sprigs of rosemary, thyme, onions, and citrus fruits in the cavity of the turkey! yummo!! we don't stuff our turkey...we do that separate!

I gotta go soon. I am doing my grocery shopping now, before the crazy rush tomorrow.

Also, have 3 bags for our churche's food pantry. My guess is there will be lots of shopping there tomorrow too, and I want to bring double what I buy for myself there (minus a turkey... I don't think that will keep well on the shelves.)

I hear ya! i have to go too! my boys are getting hungry...they haven't eaten breakfast yet. well, they had cereal, but i guess it wasn't enough! LOL!

I just had an interresting conversation with another stay-at-home mom who is starting to work out of her home as her kids grow older too.

We realized that ironically, we are called stay-at-home moms, but we are usually only home when we are working, and usually gone when with the kids!

Go figure.
